The rigatoni carbonara we did receive tasted good, but for €36 it was far too little. It was at most 1.5 portions, and we're not big eaters. What a shame!

03/12/2025: La Canadese is a typical restaurant that perfectly interprets local cuisine and tradition. Let me just say we were very hungry! And we were fed, and in a big way! Jokes aside, on our way back from Rome, we accompanied a dear friend to Fondi and asked him to take us to dinner at a trattoria where we could eat well and affordably. Without hesitation, he took us to La Canadese. The friendly and helpful staff seated us on the air-conditioned veranda. The atmosphere was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The wait staff was kind and helpful, and the dishes were delivered promptly, except for the first course, but I'll tell you why later. We ordered a generous appetizer for four, and I can assure you it was plentiful and enough for everyone. In addition to the cold cuts, cured meats, and cheeses, there were two terracotta pots with beans and pork rinds—amazing; and polenta with meat sauce—divine. All of this was accompanied by at least three freshly baked focaccias, served square-cut and piping hot. A 40ml Menabrea red wine, a special one! Then, I assure you, already full and satisfied, we ordered 4 fettuccine with porcini mushrooms... and what can I say? It was exceptional: fresh homemade pasta, a generous and generous portion, tons of porcini mushrooms nestled between the fettuccine, and perfectly creamed and cooked. The reasonable wait for the first course attests to the fact that everything is freshly prepared and totally worth it. We really didn't have any more room, so we finished with a liqueur and coffee. All for the fair and honest price of 150 euros. Guys, it takes about an hour and a half from Naples to get to La Canadese, so it's best to exit at Frosinone. Keep in mind that they make fresh pizza in a wood-fired oven, which must be excellent given the deliciousness of the focaccia, and they specialize in grilled meats and all kinds of side dishes. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it, especially if you want to eat with the land and mountains and love local, traditional cuisine. TOP place!

25/10/2025: I've been eating pizza at "La Canadese" for almost two years, and in that time, I've NEVER been disappointed. Pizza made with passion and attention, and served by extremely kind and efficient staff. They also cater to celiacs and lactose intolerant customers. The environment is clean and well-kept, both inside and out (the latter area is only available during the summer months). Highly recommended!

You could taste the sea in everything. Compliments to Carlotta for the management of the room. If I had a room manager like her in Munich I would be very happy.. that said we will always come back to you, I promise!! Thank you.

18/01/2026: The food was barely adequate. Disastrous and indifferent service, truly ridiculous. An hour and a half wait for pizzas, half an hour for fried foods, and an hour and a quarter for a mozzarella in carrozza, which should have arrived with the fried foods, as we had ordered everything together. The neighboring tables, despite arriving after us, finished their dinner much earlier than us. The final bill was incorrect, with the addition of a dish we never ordered. It arrived and, despite our notification, the waitress didn't correct it, even though we had received a discount of about €30 for the mess. The mistake cut the discount in half—basically, crumbs. Not recommended, and we won't return.

25/02/2026: Excellent family-run neighborhood pizzeria run by mom and her sisters. Lots of choice, easy-to-digest, top-quality pizza. They're always very friendly, and there's even a small outdoor seating area that's super nice when it's warm. Recommended for locals and anyone passing through who wants a great pizza with delicious freshly-made fried food. 👍

02/02/2026: I had dinner with some friends. We sat down at 8:00 PM (the room was half empty). We ordered five pizzas and a fried anchovy and cod dish. They told us it would take a while (the room was half empty). So, at 10:30 PM, they brought the pizzas (not even all at once), and after they brought all the pizzas, I waited another 20 minutes for the fried anchovy dish (which they brought only after reminding the waiter). The food was good, but the service was crappy (if you can't handle takeout pizzas and the room, choose one). The fried anchovy and cod dish was good, but for €16, I would have expected a slightly larger portion than the 10 anchovies and 2 cod bites. I definitely won't be returning to this place for dinner again.

19/10/2025: The "sfizi di mare" appetizer is good, the fried calamari and shrimp are tasty, the "Albatros" pizza is decent, the grilled fish is very good, the berry cheesecake is excellent, and the "o Baba" is good. The quality/price ratio is good. The restaurant has been renovated and made modern, pleasant, and clean. The service is good. 4 out of 5 stars, in my opinion.
