19/08/2025: I went to dinner with my girlfriend and her family at "Da Umberto." It all happened by chance. We ordered two Cokes, two waters, and half a bottle of Ischia white wine. For appetizers, we had fried shrimp and calamari and vegetarian bruschetta. Both served just enough for five people. The fried sea bream was crispy, and you could tell it was fresh. We then ordered spaghetti with clams, deliciously spicy just right, with parsley and a generous amount of clams. A very light and fluffy pizza. Last but not least, three bucatini pasta with mussels and pecorino cheese, which I've always been reluctant to try. For the first time, I wanted to try this typical Neapolitan recipe. I made the decision after reading the reviews, and to this day, I don't think I'll ever try this dish anywhere else because I'll never find anything this good! Huge and delicious mussels with an intense flavor, perfectly cooked bucatini, and just the right amount of pecorino cheese that made everything perfectly balanced. The staff was superb, both in the dining room and the kitchen, as everything arrived on time. They also gave us tips on how to visit the beautiful places on Ischia. I'd add that I'm from the South and now live in the North, but when I find myself in places like this, I know how much potential there is in our region. Thanks for everything, I'd go back any day for my first cozze e pepe.

03/09/2025: First experience, and certainly not last, at this truly excellent pizzeria. For the location, the staff, the pizza, and especially the croquettes (I call them panzarotti)...excellent! Personal advice: go there!!!!!!

13/07/2025: We had reserved a table for five in the early afternoon and were asked whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. We chose the inside. The restaurant divides its evening service into two time slots: from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM and from 10:00 PM to midnight. We opted for the latter. We arrived well in advance, around 9:45 PM, but they didn't seat us until 10:30 PM. Understandably, given it was a Saturday night, we were told we'd have to sit outside, despite having reserved inside, because the inside was full. We ignored this, too, and adjusted. They seated us outside at two tables with a noticeable difference in height, which were quite uncomfortable. Of the five seats, only three were set, and there were no menus. After about a half-hour wait, a waitress came to take our order. We explained that we hadn't yet been given a menu. She rudely replied, "You could have said so," despite having tried several times to get the staff's attention. To avoid further delays, we decided to order the pizzas immediately, without a menu, at 11:00 PM. After further reminders, the pizzas didn't arrive until 11:50 PM. I completely understand the chaos of a Saturday night and the staff's workload (there were only three people in the dining room), but I find it unacceptable to have to wait almost two hours from our reservation time for a pizza, without even having been able to order anything else. Some customers even fell asleep at their tables during the long wait. It's a real shame, because the pizza is good, perhaps the only real plus in an overall disappointing experience.

11/07/2025: Terrible experience with the service, shame about the pizza, because it was decent. Yet this time, some pizzas arrived completely burned; I'll attach photos. Many pizzas, like the Margherita, lacked ingredients. Special mention for the fried pizzas, which were very good. We arrived with an 8:30 PM reservation on Friday to a half-empty pizzeria, and at 10:30 PM, after a full two hours, we were still waiting for our pizzas. Furthermore, no explanation was given, so no attention was paid to the service. In fact, when we asked how long it would take, especially for older people who need to take medication close to mealtimes and by a certain time, we were told that the pizzas were in the oven, which wasn't the case...

02/03/2025: Sono stata in questa famossima pizzeria, nota soprattutto per il suo Panuozzo, definito il più buono di Gragnano, venerdì 28 febbraio. È stata la prima volta che mangiavo questa specialità. Eravamo in due, avevamo provato a chiamare per poter prenotare 2 posti ma purtroppo la linea risultava sempre occupata e comunque abbiamo scoperto che il weekend non accettano prenotazioni per la grande folla. Arrivati verso le 21 e qualcosa, sapevo già che ci sarebbe stata attesa, infatti c'erano tantissime persone ad attendere. Abbiamo lasciato il nome, ricevendo in risposta che ci sarebbe stata un attesa di 30 minuti. Non sono stati 30 minuti ma un oretta, penso che comunque in un locale con così tanta fama e gente di venerdì sera, sia più che accettabile. Siamo stati fatti accomodare e abbiamo ordinato un panuozzo metà gusto ortolana e metà gusto tarantella. L'attesa per il panuozzo è stata poca, siamo stati serviti quasi subito. E che dire?!? L'attesa ne è valsa veramente la pena. Non ho mai mangiato un Panuozzo così buono, proprio l'impasto era straordinario: croccante, saporito, cotto alla perfezione e super farcito. La dimensione del panuozzo poi? Veramente esagerata. Se siete in due, vi consiglio di ordinarne uno che sarà poi diviso in 4 parti, 2 parti ciascuno. Ogni parte è veramente grande. E poi il ripieno? Non ho mai visto così tanta farcitura. Tutti e due i gusti sono stati buonissimi, non ci sono parole per descrivere la bontà ma il gusto tarantella con salame, funghi, carciofi, mozzarella, olive nere aveva una marcia in più. Anche il gusto ortolana con friarielli, melenzane, peperoni, zucchine era buonissimo ma ci ha conquistato l'altro gusto. In due abbiamo speso 25 euro, 2 euro per l'acqua minerale, 2 euro per l'acqua naturale, il coperto più un limoncello. Un prezzo più che accettabile per un prodotto di altissima qualità. Siamo rimasti troppo soddisfatti e felici, un Panuozzo veramente eccezionale. Spero di ritornarci prima o poi per assaggiare qualche altro gusto.

07/09/2025: I was there on a summer Saturday evening, where service is outdoors. Although the pizzas are good, the experience was ruined by the incredibly long wait: an hour and a half for three pizzas is unacceptable, even for a Saturday night, a sign of poor and improvised service. The waiters wandered among the tables, looking confused and agitated. Even a simple beer order was rushed three times. Finally, after waiting 15 minutes for the bill, I got up to go inside to pay. An experience I won't repeat, a shame.

01/06/2025: Hemos estado regresando a este restaurante durante 6 años, la comida es increíble. Beppe es un anfitrión fantástico, muy profesional como todo el personal. Está muy bien situado con vistas impresionantes. Es uno de los favoritos para la gente local, lo que siempre es una buena señal. Nos presentaron este restaurante y Beppe hace años por nuestro buen amigo Luigi y nos reunimos con él y otros amigos cada vez que volvemos a Seiano. I'd like to highlight the attention-grabbing behavior of the head waiter, and the waiters were called out in rude, unsuitable ways. I also recommend simply and comprehensively explaining the menu, avoiding unkind comments about customers. Overall, an excellent offering, delicious pizzas.

20/07/2025: Siamo stati al Ristorante Da Filippo in occasione di una cena. Posto leggermente affollato ma personale efficiente nei tempi di attesa. Abbiamo ordinato un primo piatto, due tagliate di carne e un dolce. Prezzi modici per la qualità del posto e del cibo, inoltre le porzioni erano adeguate ne abbondanti né insufficienti. Che dir si voglia, ma non che non abbia rispettato le nostre aspettative. Citando un noto poeta: “fu tzoppu beddu stu manciari sangò”.

The waiters were rude and even thought they had clean cutlery, but in reality it was dirty and filthy. Ambience: There's not even air conditioning, and it's a disgusting restaurant.

12/08/2025: We always look for a restaurant like this, where local guests apparently come back to enjoy delicious food. This is exactly one of those restaurants, where we received a friendly welcome from the owner and were seated right away. After a quick order, the most delicious snacks arrived...pizzas, seafood, beer and soft drinks! We came back the next day because of the great experience, when they even remembered who had eaten what the previous day. This made us feel that it was important to our restaurant host that we leave satisfied. It was no problem that the two families of 4 asked for the bill separately. Thank you for the hospitality and the local atmosphere!

23/07/2025: Abbiamo preso le pizze d'asporto a cena, i tempi d'attesa sono stati superiori a quelli previsti, c'era stato un errore nelle comande che ci ha fatto aspettare molto più del previsto, cosa che può capitare, ma poteva anche chiedere scusa per l'accaduto. Inoltre tornati a casa ci siamo accorti che il conto effettuato era errato... Le pizze sono buone e hanno una buona varietà di gusti...
