The flavors were too distinct, and the pizza was undercooked—burned on the bottom and raw on top. The prices were also a bit high. Awful experience.

18/09/2025: I went to this place for the first time with my girlfriend. I'd heard about "Monti la pizza fritta" and followed it on social media, but I'd never had the chance to try it. The place is located in the center of Battipaglia; you can park a few hundred meters away and walk. It's always a good idea to book on weekends to ensure a seat. This place has a very original look; as soon as you enter, it feels like you've stepped back in time, with a spectacular, meticulously designed setting. It makes a truly evocative impact, accompanied by delicious Neapolitan background music. We tried quite a few things: the frittatina, fries, fried pizza, bruschetta, and finally the fried dessert, all washed down with good beer. The menu is truly spoiled for choice. After ordering, you're given a light that sounds as soon as your order is ready. We sat down, and after just 10 minutes, our order was ready! Spectacular, fast service. Everything was delicious, and I didn't suffer from any stomach upset or acid reflux. I'm happy with this experience, and I'll definitely be spending more evenings there with friends. Appetizer: two mixed seafood platters divided into four; (photo) First course: vermicelli pasta with mussels and zucchini flowers; (photo) Dessert: classic tiramisu accompanied by coffee. The only flaw is that I think the price is a bit high, but nothing outrageous.

06/01/2026: My family and I had seen this place in passing every day on the way out of Porto when we caught the various busses to travel around the island. It fronts onto the busy road so is obviously very busy during the day. Do not, repeat NOT be put off by the location of this place, it is a fantastic little grill and the food is amazing and easy on the wallet. We had kebabs, chicken, fish, pizza, good God, so much really, really tasty food. Good service and friendly staff, what looks like a busy road side venue during the day turns into a great place to sit, relax and watch as people turn up to collect take away food. We didn't actually think we'd ordered that much, but had to take some home with us as we couldn't bear to leave it!!! To sum up, we spent a week on Ischia and dined all over the island, I can honestly say Antico Girarrosto Ischitano was by far the best place we had the pleasure to visit. Saluti Antico Girarrosto Ischitano!!!

16/12/2025: I think it's fair to say that this pizzeria/restaurant is a must-visit for Ischia residents. The place is simple and welcoming, and the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The fried foods are delicious, the pizza is good, and the meat is excellent. Fair prices.

03/02/2026: The Wagon Wheel Pizza is more than excellent, very light and easy to digest. It's my favorite! The staff is friendly and helpful. You can even book on Saturday evenings. Try the Giglietto, which is more rustic.

19/01/2026: I ordered a Diavola pizza, but unfortunately I received a Margherita with salami. Besides the mistake in the order, the pizza wasn't spicy at all, which is essential for a Diavola. The dough was very thin and overall it didn't fill me up. A disappointing experience; I definitely expected better.

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, there's a lot of speculation about gluten-free options, greatly inflating prices on everything. Since we're a group of eight and I'm celiac, we booked here. Cover charge: €2.50 33ml Coke €3.50 A mini pulled pork meatball €7 Capricciosa €12; I had sausage added, which cost €14. It's unfortunate that we charged €30 per person to friends who basically ate a Napoletana and a drink. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. Regarding the service, the waiters ask for our order as soon as they seat us, causing the table to turn over 6 or 7 times in one evening.

10/12/2025: This is our second time here. The pizzas are very good, but the soups are the real treats! Especially the chestnut and mushroom one. Perfect service, and Sabbatino was warm and helpful as always! I absolutely recommend them!

09/12/2025: Looking for Neapolitan pizza outside Naples? Yes, in Baiano, Pizzeria Pulcinella offers an excellent selection of pizzas and also food. The first time I tried the pizza, it was worth it for its digestibility, ingredients, and dough. Recently, I also tried the grilled meat, which I absolutely loved. All at affordable prices. Definitely recommended!
