One of the best pizzerias I've ever eaten at. The place is literally a work of art. Each room represents a different historical period, and the wine cellar is antique. The pizzas named after actors are delicious, especially the Manfredi (with peperone crusco) and the Villa.

We went to dinner at "Negri" in Pontecagnano, an award-winning pizzeria, also known for the celebrities who have frequented it. The restaurant has several frescoed and carefully furnished rooms, a veranda and an outdoor garden, and a renowned cellar stocked with vintage wines. The pizza is worthy of its fame, made with excellent ingredients, soft and with a crispy crust. Another dish I recommend is the chicken Negri-style, topped with a flavorful tomato sauce and baked in the oven. For dessert, I enjoyed the sweet and creamy millefeuille with cream and black cherry. I suggest finishing with a bergamot liqueur, perhaps sipping it in the garden while smoking a good cigar. The bill is commensurate with the service provided.

I always come back with great pleasure. I always find the courtesy and food good. The menu is just right. Simple, without bothering to read a thousand courses. The internal dining room is beautiful. A very unique ceiling. In the summer I love being on the terrace, close to nature.

02/05/2026: Simple and basic pizzeria. Good pizza with a choice of toppings and dough (mixed flour or red with crusco peppers). The pizza—I opted for the mixed flour—is flavorful but not overly so, and has a light dough (though the crust seemed undercooked when bitten, it didn't leave any yeasty or other flavor). The pizza wasn't heavy. The tomato sauce was slightly tart but not bothersome. The buffalo mozzarella was okay. The atmosphere was clean and simple. Service was good. Cover charge is €2, but they serve the pizzas in a wicker container covered with disposable paper. This was a solution to avoid dishwashing. This solution is fine, but a smooth wooden or plastic container would be preferable, as wicker, not being flat and smooth, makes it difficult to cut the pizza with a knife (even though the pizza arrives already cut into 4 pieces). Prices are reasonable (€10 for the buffalo mozzarella). The wood-fired oven adds value.
08/04/2026: The food is delicious! Me, my husband and my daughter ordered two pizzas and the dough was soft and a little bit crunchy. I definitely recommend this place!!!

14/06/2026: We ate here during our tour of the coast... a great spot for lunch with a sea view, on the balcony. Super friendly and welcoming staff, great food!
13/06/2026: A local hidden gem with an intimate feel. Quiet and far from the crowds, but has an accessible bus stop that drops you off at Amalfi (takes ~40mins.) Views are beautiful.
