A special thanks goes to the cook, a lady who, at the end of the meal, takes the time to come into the room to personally ask if everything went well — simply perfect!

In the charming village of Cirigliano, nestled among the hills of Matera, the restaurant-pizzeria Il Mulino turned out to be a real discovery, a place where the Lucanian culinary tradition is expressed with authenticity and passion. From the first moment, you are welcomed by a warm and familiar atmosphere, typical of the trattorias of the past, where the smile and courtesy of the owners make you feel immediately at home. The environment, well-kept and welcoming, is the perfect prelude to a gastronomic experience that celebrates the genuine flavors of the territory. We had the pleasure of tasting different courses, and each of them told a story of very fresh ingredients and recipes handed down with love. The appetizers, a triumph of local products, from cheeses to cured meats, tantalized the palate in a sublime way. The first courses, with homemade pasta, are a tribute to grandma's cooking, rich in flavor and prepared with skill. 25/06/2025: Historic restaurant that unfortunately I had never had the pleasure of visiting. On Sunday 22nd, returning from Maratea, we stopped for dinner. My wife opted for a slice of beef while I wanted to try the pizza. And I was right. Pleasant surprise. Contemporary dough, excellently leavened and quality products. Excellent digestibility. I then had the opportunity to chat with the owner, a kind and friendly person. He spoiled us the next project which concerns the opening of the pizzeria in another location soon. Obviously I will also go to visit the new location. Better late than never.

20/02/2025: Small restaurant in a residential area. Lots of parking but always occupied by residents who live in the area. Food: appetizers failed, I didn't like the fried foods they offer, burnt and dry. Decent first courses. Excellent desserts. In short, no too many demands

Refined cuisine and dishes prepared with care, using fresh and excellent quality ingredients. I highly recommend going back several times to try the whole menu! The atmosphere is fantastic, elegant and cared for in the smallest details. Highly recommended!

21/05/2025: Karaoke delirium with sky-high volume with peaks that touch 100 decibels. This was the element that determined and conditioned the evening. The rest unfortunately is in the background, average the hamburger on the plate with grilled vegetables. Rejected the pizza. Nice place with attentive, fast and polite service. 04/05/2025: Posto bellissimo e suggestivo, ben curato e con panorama mozzafiato. L' ospitalità, la cordialità e la professionalità di Rocco è andata oltre le nostre aspettative. Servizio ottimo, celere e ben attento alle nostre necessità. Pietanze con portate equilibrate e gustose. Rocco ci ha servito due primi di mare differenti tutti e due davvero ottimi e a seguire grigliata di mare e frittura di pesce. Il vino della casa merita una votazione eccellente. Rapporto qualità/prezzo soddisfacente. Ci ritorneremo presto.
