11/06/2026: If there's a place where good humor rises along with the dough, it's this out-of-this-world pizzeria, capable of catapulting you into orbit with the first bite. Phenomenal appetizers: bruschetta that smells of heaven, pettole as light as cosmic clouds. Excellent wine, quality perceived throughout, from the welcome to the coffee, super-clean bathrooms. From what I understand, this place is a must-try for the people of Matera because it was packed, yet we were very comfortable and received kind and efficient service.

30/05/2026: Never again... sky-high prices.... 2 very simple pizzas, 2 medium-sized, poor-quality pizzas... the lady at the cashier looked like she was three million euros in debt... all for only €42.50... we're exaggerating a bit!!!!

10/04/2026: On the way back, we stopped at a roadside shop. It turns out the shop doesn't open until 12 o'clock, but the owner, seeing how pitiful we were, opened an hour early so we could eat. It was delicious!

04/04/2026: As a true Bari native who has stayed in Lagopesole, I can honestly say that "Lo Sfizio" is better than a Michelin-starred restaurant. Absolutely 5 stars!

25/07/2026: On Monday evening, July 20th, we celebrated our wedding vows here at Talpa, and we couldn't have chosen a better place!!! ;) The location is truly enchanting, nestled in the splendid setting of our Sassi di Matera, filled with fairy lights, music, and dancing that created a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. At just the right moments, we even got to hit the dance floor and let loose!!! ;) The Talpa team was extraordinary... from the wonderful owner Donatella, to our dear chef, to the talented and friendly waiters... they were all impeccable, professional, kind, welcoming, and attentive, and even extended their closing day to allow us to celebrate. Furthermore, they served us delicious and abundant food... the chef was so skilled at turning simple dishes into true delights for our palates that we asked for several seconds; all our guests were amazed and super satisfied. 18/05/2026: It's one of those places where, when you return, you always feel at home. The food is excellent, and the cuisine reflects the local area: the ingredients are locally sourced, and the recipes are traditional. You know exactly what you're in Melfi and that you're eating the most authentic Melfi, without frills. The pizzas deserve special mention: there's so much to choose from, you can order with your eyes closed; each one is better than the last. The family who runs it is simply wonderful: they remember your tastes and always know what to recommend from the heart. In fact, they should be the ones to rate us! When we go with our kids, despite the confusion we sometimes inevitably create, they never, ever complain. They have an old-fashioned patience and kindness.
