26/08/2025: I give the service a zero because of a dark-haired guy with an unkempt beard, who responded rudely to me after we rightly complained about the excessive delay. I suggest he take a course in good manners. I heard everything he whispered; he's not kidding me, and I wasn't born yesterday. Instead of apologizing to the customer, he showed his true colors, even to the man at the cash register, the owner, who, unlike him, apologized for the significant delay in my order. I have a large following on Google, so I don't recommend the place due to the poor service, due solely to that very rude young man who undoubtedly still has a long way to go. The rest of the staff is friendly. I'm sorry I can't rate the pizzas because they never arrived: with a reserved table, I sat down at 9:25 PM and left at 11 PM. A shame, really. _______ I'm replying to your last comment below: It's certainly not my job to teach manners to that boy, a complete stranger to me, nor is it the owner's job, but I honestly expected a more objective comment from you, one that didn't justify that person's rudeness. The very fact that you write about teaching good manners to a boy only confirms what I'm saying. But then they complain about the poor entrepreneurial spirit of some businesses in Potenza! But what reason would I have to say one thing for another? If certain people don't know how to argue but only whisper behind their backs, that's not my problem. I say things to their faces, because I know I'm right when I offer constructive criticism for the good of the business and especially the owner. Do you remember the tone the boy had with me at the cash register, especially with you there, constantly apologizing? The other people turned around too. By the way, mine isn't the only negative review about your restaurant's service and the slowness of the kitchen. I encourage you to read them all. And reread the positive comments I had about you and the other staff. What a disappointment! Why would you apologize if you wrote such things to me? Do you even realize it? Who's disparaging whom? I repeat: I don't recommend this place.

20/09/2025: We walked up without a reservation and were seated right away. The waitress was excellent as was the food. We had the fresh fish of the day and split it between us. It was worth the money.

18/09/2025: Nice restaurant runs by owner but very pushy to get the order. Very clean and big seating. Food is towards high side if you compare with the quality of food . I didn’t see the olive oil and vinegar on any table . No crush pepper or peperoncino or freshly grated parmesan cheese. Staff is friendly . Located in a restricted area .

11/09/2025: I really enjoyed the appetizer; the ceccio was fantastic, eaten hot. The spaghetti was very good, although heavy and quite oily. But it's a matter of taste. The appetizer pictured and 2 spaghetti (for 2 people) total €81

28/09/2025: Welcoming place, very kind staff, we felt at home. As soon as we sat down, they pampered us with meatballs made with raw pepper cream and homemade bread with olive oil. After a few minutes, the first courses my husband and I ordered arrived, followed by second courses. Everything was delicious. We'll be back to try the other specialties. Thank you, thank you.

28/09/2025: We were passing through Latronico, and seeing as lunch was approaching, we stopped. When we arrived, we found a well-kept and clean environment. The staff was very friendly. They offered us a taste of Campomaggiore olive oil with some really good bread, which seemed to be made according to tradition, and some bread meatballs with fennel and a cruscko pepper cream. We wanted to try two platters (one Amara Lucania and one from the delicatessen), each better than the other. And a portion of cod, very tasty. Creamy cheeses, accompanied by honey or fig jam. Delicious cured meats, reflecting old local customs. For starters, some paccheri from the tavern, a Lucanian pesto, and a mischiglio. All three were very good (we liked the Lucanian pesto a little less because of the overly bitter flavor of the peppers, but obviously that's subjective). I highly recommend it. P.S. I would have liked to find local chips, or at least local ones, and not frozen ones. Recommended.

03/09/2025: Superb food, scialatielli with all kinds of delicious fish! Chef Vincenzo was very good.

02/09/2025: On a Thursday, we arrived from a nearby town because someone had recommended the pizza there. My wife, my son, and I ordered two pizzas, a plate of pasta with tomato sauce, and a potato chip. The pasta for the son arrived cold and the pasta was poorly cooked (the child barely ate anything), and the chips arrived cold and overcooked. The pizzas were adequate in terms of both size and ingredients. Overall, let's say it was a 5.5 experience. The service was friendly and helpful. I forgot after a while that we were having a nap, and the child fell asleep, so we ordered two truffles to go. I have to say they were excellent, but the price was moderately high.

04/10/2025: We've always stopped here for business lunches or dinners. Always available, and the food is good and excellent value.

01/10/2025: This inn is located in the center of town. Nothing special, but... for that price, what could you expect? I highly recommend it.

28/09/2025: Returned after years, renovated venue, different clientele. Overall, not bad. Prices are slightly higher than average, in my opinion. Pizza is acceptable, but I remembered it being different.

25/08/2025: I wonder how such a renowned restaurant (Scalera location) with exquisite, award-winning pizza could be so lacking in service. On a Sunday evening, with the town festival also underway, there was only one waiter (very professional and kind) in the dining room managing everything. Consequently, the service was very slow and disorganized, despite the waiter bending over backwards to accommodate us. The girl at the cash register was busy handling both payments and drinks... Chaos! What a shame! The pizza is always delicious.

15/08/2025: The atmosphere and location were very nice, as were the staff and the service, which was fast and friendly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. Many dishes were sold out (the tripe and the fusilli). The appetizer of cured meats and cheeses also included other dishes (all potato-based): stewed fava beans, cruschi peppers, followed by cavatelli with cherry tomatoes and ricotta cheese, and cavatelli with breadcrumbs. The pasta was overcooked and I think precooked. It must have been a bad day. The prices are absolutely not high.

21/09/2025: Everything is super new and spotlessly clean. Beautiful rooms, plentiful breakfast, friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent price! Recommended.

21/08/2025: We loved everything. The family atmosphere, the simple, authentic food, and the wood-fired pizza, generous in size and toppings. It felt like dining on your own terrace. Recommended for those who love a casual dining experience with excellent value. We'll be back if we're passing through again!
