12/11/2025: I highly recommend this restaurant. Friendly staff, and the food is excellent.

11/11/2025: We came back here for our last meal of the trip. We ordered the spaghetti Carbonara and spaghetti with pesto twice because they were so delicious. The pesto is very flavorful, homemade with quality ingredients; I've never had such an excellent one. The tiramisu is quite good, very light and airy. The waiters are a bit gruff, but I highly recommend it!

25/09/2025: We had lunch on 01/09, a place we found by chance, we ate very well, the very kind owner gave us very good advice, in any case everything we had was excellent from the homemade wine to the amaro, a nocino that was nothing short of fabulous, spaghetti and clams (and I say CLAMS and not lupins) excellent, excellent price-quality ratio, I recommend everyone to try it if you are in these parts!!

13/10/2025: Bad place, we recommend looking elsewhere. We ordered lunch and it never arrived. After 1 hour and 25 minutes, two pizzas arrived. We were four people. We had to ask three times about the food, and they always said it was coming out. Finally, the order that arrived wasn't what we ordered. When we complained, they got upset and said the restaurant was very busy. In my country, a pizza arrives in 15 minutes. Furthermore, the pizzas weren't good. What a bad experience. Almost everything was bad. They never warned us that because the restaurant was full, the wait time was so long. We also ordered artichokes as a starter, and they brought eggplant instead. They didn't provide us with olive oil or vinegar for any of the salad dressings we ordered. I'm never interested in criticizing for the sake of causing harm. I only hope my comments allow them to improve their service.

12/10/2025: We stayed in the hotel near the restaurant for over a week, so we often went to eat at Peppe's restaurant. What can I say? Excellent menu, delicious dishes, all worth trying and enjoying. The staff were incredibly kind. We felt welcomed and loved, like at home. A wonderful experience. Recommended 5 ⭐️

18/10/2025: Disclaimer: I love this place; we come several times a year. I have no complaints about the quality of the food; on the contrary, it's all delicious, and they were incredibly kind because one of the girls had numerous allergies, so they were very accommodating. This time, however, when we went to the cashier to pay (we each wanted to pay for what we'd consumed, and there were four of us, not ten), the owner told us it wasn't possible: "You've had time to sit down," and that we could settle down later. We stayed longer than the reservation time, that's true. It's also true that if a table had been served, we would have gotten up without a problem, but that wasn't the case. So I don't understand this kind of "retaliation." We'll definitely be back because the food and staff are excellent, but this, to be honest, left us a little perplexed.

14/10/2025: The risottos have become banal and unremarkable. The gnocchi are excellent. The portions are good only on individual plates...while on second and third plates...they're small.

08/10/2025: The food is excellent; try the homemade pasta (superb) and the meat (good and well-cooked), obviously with a cascade of porcini mushrooms. The place is a bit dated and could use some more tidiness; there are only a few tables. The wild strawberries in Nemi are a must; they're also available here, but I had mine overlooking the lake (spectacular).

I had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of homemade fettuccine with wild boar, which was a true masterpiece. The pasta, with its perfect texture, embraced a rich, flavorful sauce, with the wild boar adding a rustic, delicate touch to the dish. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that made me feel instantly immersed in the local gastronomic tradition. Next, the suckling pig platter was a real treat. The tender and flavorful meat melted in your mouth, its flavor reflecting the care taken in selecting the ingredients and preparing them. The platter was enriched with a selection of excellent cheeses, which, accompanied by a jam, perfectly complemented the experience. Every bite was a journey through authentic and genuine flavors. The combination of fresh ingredients, culinary expertise, and impeccable hospitality makes Le Scalette a must-visit for anyone who wants to savor the true cuisine of Nemi. 01/10/2025: Family dinner, both pizza and fish entrees were good. The service was a bit slow, but it was crowded, so they offered us a mini appetizer to help us while we waited.

27/10/2025: I came here for lunch with my family for the first time. The restaurant is nice and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I tried their risotto and pasta with salsiccia and mushrooms — both were amazing and delicious. They also offer pizza, as well as a variety of first and second courses, and many types of wine. I had the Dolcetto d’Alba, which is a red wine. Really recommended!

16/10/2025: We spent five days at a nearby campsite and ate there twice. The value for money was simply amazing. Everything was delicious. The pizza was very generous. The pasta portions were rather small. However, the paella was generous with seafood. All in all, highly recommended. Thank you so much!

26/09/2025: Very delicious food, the pizza is outstanding! Excellent value for money. Unfortunately, the owner seems to have had a bad day today; she's not very friendly. The outdoor seating is on the street, but you can tell that before you sit down. I'll definitely be back. And I have come back. Twice this holiday, in fact, and I was not disappointed. The pizza fruttidi di mare is a dream. The squid in tomato sauce with polenta was also delicious. The prices are also perfectly reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants in the area.

20/10/2025: Very tasty pizza. I especially liked that you could choose the dough: spelt, kamut, and regular. The tiramisu is homemade. 😛 Not your typical tourist spot. Very good value for money.
