19/10/2025: A truly pleasant experience at this restaurant. It's spread over two levels and seats a decent number of people. You can choose between the à la carte menu and the tasting menu. The staff is attentive and friendly. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. Recommended if you're in the area.

11/12/2025: I went to this little restaurant with my family for my birthday. It was a fantastic experience, with excellent food from appetizers to desserts, all accompanied by a fantastic selection of wines. Highly recommended.

08/12/2025: The menu features traditional Piedmontese dishes and some more innovative ones. We ordered traditional dishes like vitello tonnato and ravioli del plin. Excellent in both taste and presentation. The wine list is excellent, and the service is excellent. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. The price was reasonable for what we ate and drank. I recommend it.

13/06/2026: What can we say about Vecchio Castagno? We couldn't have asked for anything better for such a special day! We got married on June 1, 2026, and everything was perfect. We can only thank Mariagrazia and Roberta for their endless availability and attention to every detail, from the initial organizational decisions to the menus created specifically for guests with special needs. A special thank you also goes to the head waiter and all the staff: thoughtful, extremely organized, attentive, and always available, without ever being invasive. They were a solid and reassuring point of reference on a day filled with emotion and wonderful chaos. We weren't the only ones thrilled with the choice: our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on the dream location and the exquisite food. 18/04/2026: A restaurant in the heart of Asti. Beautiful and welcoming both inside and out on the stunning veranda, open both summer and winter. You can sample a "cicchetto" of Cantine Sant'Agata products, but also enjoy exquisite lunch or dinner dishes, original in their flavor combinations and presented with great professionalism and imagination. The owner and staff are courteous, attentive, and always on point.

10/06/2026: Very nice restaurant in a very small village (about 100 inhabitants) with a beautiful scenery (old buildings, a church and a tower) located in a green and beautifull mountanious landscape in the south of Piemonte. The restaurant is in a tastefull Italian atmosphere decorated. The staff is very friendly. May 2025: They offer an excellent menyu, 4 or 5 courses from wich you can choose among ca. 4 items per course and an extensive winemenu. The diner (all 4 courses) was/were excelent. An excellent price to quality ratio. I can highly recommend this restaurant. And at about 100 meters from the restaurant are 2 EV chargers (22KW), at the parking area before you enter the village.

03/06/2026: We always love returning; on a breezy, sunny day, it's the perfect restaurant. Good quality, a reasonably wide selection, a beautiful view from the terrace, and adequate service. Prices are moderately high considering such a remote location, but it's worth it. Ample parking in the square just steps away.

28/04/2026: Excellent Piedmontese cuisine, with a different fish dish every day (which is also excellent). The Piedmontese appetizer is a must, along with the first courses and meat dishes. Excellent value, and attentive, friendly service. The atmosphere is perhaps a bit too refined for those seeking a traditional experience, but still pleasant and quiet. Our only suggestion: add a vegetarian main course to the main course menu (other than cheese).

14/04/2026: Excellent Piedmontese cuisine and innovative combinations using seasonal and regional ingredients. Tradition with a touch of imagination, always flavorful and refined at very reasonable prices. Top-notch! Good wine list and friendly service. The Easter menu was also very good!

08/05/2026: A wellness day at the spa: a beautiful, welcoming facility with meticulous attention to detail. The heated infinity pool with a breathtaking view of the Langhe hills surrounding Asti is fantastic. The selection of sweet and savory snacks is also excellent, along with a variety of herbal teas. The villa's outdoor area, a manicured lawn surrounded by trees and rosemary hedges, features pairs of loungers with canopy gazebos, truly comfortable and inviting for relaxation. Definitely worth a try!

22/10/2025: Good, kind, and hospitable. Refined yet simple and complete dishes. We opted for the traditional €65 fixed menu. It was worth every penny. The charcoal-baked plin pasta was truly fantastic. The wine list offers a wide selection and the cellar is very scenic. If you're passing through Canelli, it's definitely worth a stop.
