My recent visit to Trattoria I Bologna in Rocchetta Tanaro was an experience that awakened all the senses and warmed the heart. Being the guest for a lunch of a dear Friend for his eightieth birthday in this enchanting place allowed me to appreciate not only their extraordinary hospitality, the beauty of the location and the sublime quality of the food, but also to share with them my passion and profession for comic magic. 09/06/2025: The kind of restaurant you are looking for. Where people really care about you and cook with love — it is very easy to spot. The kindest service ever mixed with the best taste. Sad could come only once, will definitely come back once back to the region.

03/06/2025: We had four nights in Asti and dined out at Osteria della Piazza on one of those. We booked although it might not have been necessary. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed the Piedmontese food and wine choices very much. (We also enjoyed Osteria del Diavolo for similar reasons.) In Osteria della Piazza they do wine by the half bottle instead of by the glass, which really worked for us - the local wines we had were really very good.

11/05/2025: On weekends I recommend booking at least a week in advance. FOOD: we ordered several dishes to try as many as possible, all of excellent quality and well presented. The main actor: the Piedmontese mixed fried food. Advice: there are 14 pieces per person, you are warned about the quantity and quality (there is also the filone). Another gem is the finanziera with bargigli. SERVICE: we were looked after very well even though the place was full, the staff were very friendly but professional. EXTRA: we ordered a dish to share and they brought us a double portion so we could both enjoy it. AMBIENCE: nice, traditional, intimate and with a Piedmontese trattoria theme. The place was also scented with spa-like aromas. PRICE: about 40 euros per person, 3 courses + bottle + coffee and covers. (Rolling out and not walking) BATHROOM: clean, with toilet paper present, without fame and without praise. We are very satisfied, one of the few places where you can still eat Piedmontese food as it should be.

17/05/2025: The place is decent, the food is average, the problem is the miserable portions, seconds equally miserable that together do not make a decent portion. Pasta all'amatriciana pasticciata quite bad in flavor. From appetizers to dessert very small portions 3 appetizers 2 first courses 1 second course water wine coffee €35. Honestly it is not worth it. There is better for the same price.

03/05/2025: As soon as you arrive at Villa Fontana you are enchanted by the beauty and class of the structure surrounded by nature and with a wonderful view of the surrounding hills. Immediately afterwards, however, the pleasure of beauty is clearly surpassed by the warmth of the welcome from all the collaborators. They are extremely professional but also kind and smiley and make you feel like you are back with old friends you haven't seen for a while. A special thanks to Michela who is the icing on the cake.

09/06/2025: We celebrated our wedding at Ca’ Vittoria and it was magnificent. The attention of Valentina and her staff was impeccable and we, the newlyweds, felt truly pampered! Chef Massimiliano delighted us and our guests with delicious dishes that tasted like summer! Ca’ Vittoria is truly a treasure surrounded by greenery!

08/06/2025: We were for a wedding. Beautiful location, beautiful room where we had dinner and good dishes. Impeccable service with staff always available. Large rooms, I just, clean and comfortable. Decor a little retro but that goes well with the general style.

07/04/2025: What a magical moment. The guest rooms are spacious, comfortable, the bedding is top notch, decorated with great taste by Serena. The breakfast is perfect, fresh products and more than sufficient even if it is not a buffet. What can we say about the restaurant… the cuisine is tasty, explosions of flavors, only fresh, the chef is top notch! The room is also beautifully decorated. Fabio's service is perfect, attentive, discreet. The efforts to explain the dishes in French are so appreciable. The prices are quite reasonable between 34 and 39 for a 3-course meal. The view is breathtaking. I recommend +++

Jovial and friendly manager, attentive to local realities and the customer experience, welcomed in a very homely environment. We chose the tasting menu, with 3 appetizers, first course, second course, dessert and coffee, with wine and water included.
