A restaurant in the heart of Asti. Beautiful and welcoming both inside and out on the stunning veranda, open both summer and winter. You can sample a "cicchetto" of Cantine Sant'Agata products, but also enjoy exquisite lunch or dinner dishes, original in their flavor combinations and presented with great professionalism and imagination. The owner and staff are courteous, attentive, and always on point.

Last night we had dinner at Cicchetto. They sat us outside on the terrace, and we had a really good time. Even though it was crowded, we had a quiet and intimate evening. The waiter was kind and polite, and the dishes were plentiful and tasty. We would have liked to try the creamy sauce, but it was sold out... maybe next time!

For a short trip to Asti with my family, I searched ahead of time on a review site for a suitable restaurant for lunch and found Il Cicchetto. I'm really glad I chose it, because we had an excellent meal. We each ordered a different local dish, and we were all very impressed. The service was also very friendly. This place truly honors Piedmontese cuisine.

Attracted by the delightful menu, we dine privately at this restaurant. The presence of many patrons, as well as the reviews, gave us confidence. It's a shame that there were many discrepancies between expectations and reality. Unfortunately, the waitress was alone and had trouble managing the dining room. Despite a short menu, she didn't know the ingredients (pumpkin ravioli with or without mustard? The kitchen says without, but the high sweetness might suggest otherwise...). After ordering two glasses of wine and a bottle of water (which never arrived), the orders were taken: "Mamma che bava" and "connubio." From the photos of the menu I've attached, you can see the discrepancy between expectations and reality. The plate was incredibly dirty with gnocchi (not to mention the difference in plating, quantity, and seasoning) and tasted very bland; the ravioli were very sweet, with a large amount of cooking water on the plate and practically no crispy leek. Finally, the dessert, "rocciomela," which would have been delicious if it hadn't been extremely hot and we weren't warned. So, unaware of this, I gave my wife a teaspoon to try before her. It's only out of kindness that I didn't file a complaint, having gone to the hospital first for the burn on my palate! Never again! P.S. The noise from the chatter on the outdoor terrace was unbearable, so much so that we couldn't even talk... maybe in the summer with everything open it will improve, but when closed, I recommend some sound-absorbing panels on the ceiling.

This place is very nice. We went for lunch and had a great meal, featuring typical dishes. The ladies in the dining room were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for the surprise after dinner on Valentine's Day. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised: the photos and wine will remind us of a delicious dinner in a very original and charming place.
