05/04/2026: Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the atmosphere was initially cold but then welcoming. The food selection included a traditional cooked appetizer and scallops. I expected something more given the restaurant's caliber. Everything was very fresh, and the cooking and boiling points were just right, except for the crostini, which, in my opinion, didn't live up to the standards of the creamed cheeses. The bread basket, however, needs revisiting: mine seemed unprepared, and the quality of the bread definitely needs improvement. The lemon licorice sorbet with a dusting of meringue was very good, but perhaps the table setting could be improved. Only white wine is served by the glass, and only one type for both still and sparkling wines. No rosé, no red. Perhaps I would expand this aspect to make it easier to enjoy the wine. The style, artwork, and decor make it a delightful restaurant. I'll be back to try the rest.

27/04/2026: We've become regular guests and have never been disappointed! The atmosphere is intimate, warm, and welcoming, informal yet refined and elegant at the same time. The ingredients are top-quality, the fish is incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and with the utmost respect. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and ready to meet all of their guests' needs. They're exceptional in every way! Even the bread bag selection! And last but not least... pets are more than welcome...welcome, well-liked, and warmly welcomed! Thank you! <3 Highly recommended!!!!!

27/04/2026: I chose this restaurant based on its very good reviews and was unfortunately very disappointed. While the service was attentive, the three of us didn't manage to eat a single dish together; everything was served with significant delays. I wanted to cancel the main course because it was already too late for me to eat, as we had a reservation for 7:30 pm. The main course wasn't served until 9:30 pm. Our wine was never refilled, and it was presented in a tacky plastic bucket, presumably meant to be funny. The three of us were seated at a table for two, even though I had reserved a week in advance, and we were practically ignored. Not a word of apology was offered after they realized our mood had soured due to their disregard and unprofessional service. There are countless, far cheaper restaurants in the area. The price-performance ratio is completely out of whack! I can't think of a single positive thing to say about Bacaro La Baia dei Porci.

19/04/2026: We arrived by chance; the outdoor seating was booked. They gave us a cozy spot upstairs. I must say the dishes were good, except for the cod with polenta. The cod was too wet, excessively so, so we didn't like it. A sore point Finally, when asked the fateful question, Is everything okay? When we said we didn't like the cod, the answer was, "That's how it should be." I think this makes the difference between a classy restaurant and a good, touristy restaurant. I know the owner will be offended. But I hope he thinks about it and accepts a serious and competent review.

18/04/2026: This restaurant in Chioggia has been highly praised by others for its excellent food, and after visiting with my husband, I can confirm that the food is excellent. It's a bit small and cramped, but their menu isn't extensive, but they do what they offer divinely! The tagliolini with cicadas is truly delicious, the spaghetti with clams is excellent, and the fried fish is delicious and perfectly golden! I highly recommend it!

25/02/2026: A lunch I stumbled upon by chance on a weekend in February. The quality of the dishes served was excellent, the ingredients high-quality, and the service truly attentive and formal. A place to recommend; the price is appropriate for the dishes and the service provided. The first courses were truly appreciated. Advance reservations are highly recommended.

01/05/2026: The restaurant is spread over two floors. The waitress seated us on the lower level. The owner welcomed us and said, "Have them sit downstairs and bring your water. How would you like it?" My God, what a rush! Sorry to bother you. We sat down and the table wobbled, but no one offered to fix it; in fact, they completely ignored the problem and put the paper from the bread basket under it ourselves. I ordered seafood salad and it arrived cold from the fridge after 2 minutes. Okay, not hot because it's seafood salad, but not frozen either. Two minutes after I picked up the appetizer, the first course arrived (crespelle with scampi and asparagus). Cold. With parmesan and two sauces on top that weren't specified on the menu. I left the entire plate there and the waiter kindly asked me why. I replied, explaining the reason, and he left. I was quite shocked, because usually people ask, "Do you want us to do it again? Would you like something else?" No, nothing. He comes back 2 minutes later with a dish (I don't know what it was), saying it was a free gift from the chef and that they were reheating the crepes. I thank him for the gesture, but first he asks if I want it back or if I want something else. He doesn't act on feelings like that. I was so upset, I refused both the free gift and the remade first course. I'm sorry, but their lack of attention and too much haste ruined my dinner. When my husband paid, they didn't ask for anything and charged me for the dish. I won't be back.

08/05/2026: Excellent restaurant. We had dinner for two with a small child. The mixed boiled fish appetizer was delicious, and the raw fish appetizer was excellent. The first course and dessert were also very good. The quality/price ratio was definitely above average. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

20/02/2026: It was almost fun (sorry for our guests who bought us lunch) trying to figure out which mathematical equation you can use to order first courses (which aren't listed on the menu): multiples of one or maybe two divided by the root of pi, half. The fact is, if there are four of you at the table and three of you want to order three different first courses, you can't... Or maybe you can. The second time I tried to figure out the mathematical equation, the annoyed waitress exclaimed, "Maybe I can't explain myself very well." I replied tersely, "YES." The four of us didn't understand. So we ordered two identical appetizers and some mussels, no first course (because it's not allowed), a fried dish, and two grilled fish. Two appetizers arrived, the third didn't, and a first course arrived 10 minutes later... surprise! Since we can, we ordered another. The second appetizer arrives, and after two minutes of the diners eating it, the second main course arrives and they tell us there's a third if we want, but unfortunately, there's none of the main courses. Funny. We order another fried dish instead of the grilled fish, and it's brought exactly two minutes later. So, the appetizer, the first course, and the main course are on the table. Meanwhile, the waitress, like a captain, shouts directions to the crew from one side of the approximately 300-square-meter room to the other... A sort of lunch with a murderer where it turns out you're the murderer... Picturesque! Aside from that, the quality of the fish leaves much to be desired; the mussels and clams had sand in them, and the prawns and scampi tasted like ammonia. Unfortunately, nothing to be saved.
