09/11/2025: Family-run restaurant. Super fresh fish and top-quality ingredients. Traditional dishes masterfully prepared with simplicity. Perfect service, Alessio was fantastic, even introducing us to some exquisite menu items! Very fair prices for the quality and quantity of food. So far, among the many restaurants we've tried, even the more renowned ones, this remains the best. We'll definitely be back.

06/11/2025: We’d love to recommend Il Tavernino restaurant when in Sottomarina, Chioggia! We went for lunch couple of weeks ago and we were treated so very well! From the moment we opened the front door to the moment we said grazie, arrivederci. We were welcomed very, very warmly and serviced the entire time with big attention and professionalism — something you won’t see so often around Italy unless you’re in a Michelin stars restaurant. The food was amazing — clean and beautiful utensils and plates, loved the fabric of the tablecloths and napkins, pretty glasses, beautifully arranged food, and oh my so delicious! As a person that doesn’t like coffee, that day I had a bad headache so I ordered one, and I must say I loved it! Very tasty! Oh! And how about the deserts! Please, order at least one! Just one little something to the chef — you have a beautiful smile! Do wear it more often ☺️🥂💕 Thank you il Tavernino staff! You are incredible! We’ll for sure be visiting you again when in the area!

16/09/2025: We came here for dinner with colleagues, a real discovery of local cuisine. There's no menu, but Nicola is there to present all the daily specials featuring local fish, with their respective prices. He's very friendly and very characteristic. The fish is incredibly fresh; on his recommendation, we ate everything from appetizer to main course, without a doubt one of the best in the area. Excellent steamed boiled meats, very good gnocchi, divine fried freshly caught calamari... We'll definitely be back, bringing more colleagues for the great value. 04/12/2025: I returned to this restaurant after a couple of years and I have to say that I had a wonderful meal. I definitely recommend it.

23/11/2025: After a long time, I finally managed to have lunch at this beautiful place. The service and food were excellent. The raw appetizers, cooked appetizers, first and second courses were all excellent, including the homemade desserts!

09/11/2025: Nice atmosphere and adequate service. Unfortunately, I expected more from the food; the peppered mussels lacked flavor; even the man at the next table wasn't satisfied. The pasta with clams was good overall, but I still didn't digest it very well. Something probably wasn't stored properly, because I experienced various gastrointestinal symptoms in the hours that followed.

26/09/2025: It is located in a beautiful place, the view is wonderful, the food is good, the service is kind.

25/09/2025: Garden overlooking Chioggia, inside the dock. Fried mixed seafood and a boiled meat appetizer, both delicious. Excellent service. Very fair prices.

28/11/2025: There's a nice, small dining room. The service was friendly and attentive; the food was good. The turbot on potato slices is especially recommended. The meat dishes (Wiener Schnitzel) were also good. The white wine on tap was very tasty.

19/11/2025: A little updating wouldn't be a bad thing. Otherwise, we ate quite well, except for the spaghetti with clams, which wasn't particularly flavorful. The fried food and mixed grill were also very good. The service was also good.

22/10/2025: Definitely one of the best restaurants in Sottomarina. The food was excellent, and the service was truly excellent (I assume from the owner), so it deserves 5 stars. I gave 4 stars to the atmosphere (even though it's very clean and charming) only because I like eating outside (especially in the summer), and unfortunately there's no outdoor seating. That's more than fair considering the quality of the food and wines. Congratulations!

13/09/2025: We played for Elisa and Matteo's wedding as a string trio and were particularly impressed by the beauty and attention to detail of the venue. I hope we'll play for them again. Weddings in Music Italy

07/11/2025: A SPECIAL place, a classic osteria with excellent, carefully prepared seafood. The friendly staff is a plus. We'll definitely be back if we're in Chioggia.
