16/08/2025: Papaveri e Papere is a guarantee. The atmosphere is relaxing and elegant, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, even when it comes to wine selection. We had the seafood tasting, and every course was a harmony of flavors, everything was delicious; we were completely satisfied. I recommend reserving a table; it's very easy, even online.

Good wine, excellent food (we tried the egg with pecorino and truffle, the paccheri alla carbonara with cod, and the zucchini risotto with basil oil and burrata), and friendly staff. In the heart of Cortona, this bistro offers simple yet innovative dishes, expertly crafted with seasonal ingredients. From aperitif to dessert, the dishes are well-balanced in flavor and combinations, offering an excellent dinner at prices in line with average fare. Great work, keep up the good work!

22/08/2025: We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance as we walked down from the Basilica of Santa Margherita. The tables with panoramic views and the exquisitely refined interior immediately won us over. The menu is varied and suitable for all palates, as is the selection of wines and beers. Although sophisticated, the portions are not lacking in size, leaving us fully satisfied at the end of the meal. Special mention goes to the duck pici, as well as the chocolate caprese cake (incredible!). The service was absolutely attentive, professional, yet friendly! If we were to return to Cortona, we would definitely book a table in advance so as not to miss out!

26/08/2025: We chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary, and we had a wonderful time. From the moment we were greeted in the parking lot, we felt pampered. The chef is a true master of the house, checking with all his guests to determine their tastes and create the most satisfying menu possible. The rest of the staff is equally outstanding and very professional. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return, even if it's just for a special treat. Excellent wine list. I hope the guys will convey our greetings and heartfelt thanks to this wonderful family I've supported for years. I had the Kobe beef, and it was just as I always imagined it: buttery and extremely flavorful, although next time I'll have a nice Apple Meat. The atmosphere is charming and relaxing; I love the sound of the water drowning out the chatter of other customers, and the soft lighting creates an intimate atmosphere at every table. 14/09/2025: I came here for my 30th birthday; it was a dream my boyfriend and I had been wanting to do for a long time. From Rome to VdG by public transport was a journey... And then Fabrizione and his team take you on a journey through exquisite dishes that tell a story of study, passion, care, and research. I experienced so many flavors all together that I had never tried before. We both had a tasting menu, and the wine they recommended paired perfectly with the dishes. I loved every dish for different reasons, and I'm going home enriched. Many thanks to the entire VdG team. Oh yes, we had two bottles of Buccia d'Arancia. Pefforza!

09/07/2025: Locale particolare , tavoli apparecchiati con accanto abiti, manichini, t-shirt e macchine da cucire il tutto abbinato con gusto e molto piacevole alla vista. Il servizio, efficiente e veloce , e la qualità del cibo ,più che buona e abbastanza ricercata sono perfettamente in linea con lo stile del locale. La ragazza carinissima e sempre attenta. In addition, the first courses were perfectly measured, satisfying the appetite without leaving anything left over. I recommend!

26/07/2025: I chose this place based on photos of the dishes and reviews, and I can confirm my positive impression. The staff were extremely friendly, the service was fast and attentive, the dishes were truly delicious, original, and the ingredients were top-notch. I was very satisfied. The squid ink ravioli del plin filled with fish, with a delicate sauce and crispy cuttlefish, and the sea asparagus and saffron tempura were truly delicious. Also not to be missed was the crispy octopus tentacle on basil mashed potatoes and beetroot chips. The desserts, which were homemade, were also quite good.

22/08/2025: Stumbled on this place on our way to the leaning tower. Would not have found it without a sign placed on the sidewalk. Worth the detour! Old school charm with a waiter in his 30s teamed up with the owner and chef well into their 60s at a guess. Felt a bit crowded with too many decor touches and bottles literally everywhere. But the food was amazing! Highlight was a sea bass ravioli which was super fine pasta perfectly cooked. Excellent seafood spaghetti. The reviews don’t lie. It’s far better than you’d expect when you walk in.
