Staff and service I would say excellent. And its host who becomes the true reference of Catania cuisine.

27/02/2025: A real culinary experience The food at Catania Ruffiana was excellent - authentic Sicilian cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients and a lot of love. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I particularly enjoyed the pasta and seafood. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit. 25/02/2025: We are from Los Angeles, USA, and came to Catania, Sicily with a tour group. Our tour guide recommended us to go to this restaurant for dinner. We ordered two appetizers and wanted to order two entrees but were told one entree would be enough. This restaurant looks okay from the outside but the interior is very warm and fresh. The biggest highlight is that their dishes are delicious, reasonably priced and their service is friendly. It made our trip to Sicily even more wonderful memories.

01/12/2024: Il castello san marco è quel luogo dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato senza risentire dell’invecchiamento. Grazie alla famiglia Murabito ogni spazio è valorizzato in ogni piccolo particolare. Un luogo dove Charme e lusso si uniscono a professionalità e passione per garantire agli ospiti un’esperienza indimenticabile. I piatti dello chef Giuseppe Bonaccorso richiamano la tradizione siciliana e vengono riproposti con creatività e accostamenti di sapori capaci di soddisfare anche i palati più esigenti. Il sommelier Mario Cutroneo sembra essere un mago degli abbinamenti con vini d’eccezione che si sposano perfettamente al gusto prelibato dei prodotti a km 0 della nostra amata Sicilia. Nulla da invidiare agli stellati! 25/02/2025: We were very well received by the manager of the hostel who advised and explained to us despite the language barrier. The meal was excellent and we even had free donuts. A good address which changes from the restaurants for tourists in the center! Grazie!

08/11/2024: Cercavamo un ristorante dove si potesse mangiare del buon pesce e in tanti ci hanno consigliato da Serafino. Siamo rimasti non solo piacevolmente sorpresi per la qualità e l'abbondanza del cibo, ma anche per la cordialità, l'onestà e la schiettezza del suo titolare, Massimo. Il quale, dopo aver mangiato antipasti e primi, essendo in attesa dei secondi, avevo fatto richiesta di un piatto di spaghetti ai ricci, e lui, nella sua onestà e coerenza mi ha consigliato di aspettare che mangiassi il secondo di pesce e poi, se avessi avuto ancora appetito, avrei potuto tranquillamente ordinare il primo ai ricci. Consapevole del fatto che, dopo l' abbuffata non li avrei potuto mangiare. Inoltre il sorbetto al mandarino era spettacolare. Consiglio vivamente a tutti. Noi ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

20/03/2025: I also visited after watching the meat-eating man's YouTube. I rented a car on my way back from Mount Etna, and the location is a bit ambiguous for public transportation in Catania city. For two people, 4 pieces of Gambero Rosso, uni pasta, squid sundae(?), and a glass of water/white wine came to 49 euros. The interior is a bit chaotic and noisy, but it has a local atmosphere. Gambero Rosso is worth a try, and uni pasta is also above average. The squid sundae(?) is too much and the inside is melted, so it's edible, but a bit ambiguous. It seems that locals often order a raw fish platter and mix it with olive oil and lemon juice. If you have the chance, it seems like the best way to eat a raw fish plate + Gambero Rosso with a bottle of white wine is the best. The staff is friendly, and after you order, they call your name and give you your food.

20/03/2025: Small fishmonger/restaurant on the Catania seafront. The frenzy of a place/shop that offers excellent products with an incredible selection of products is pleasant. Don't be scared if the place is full, the food is worth the wait (they are very fast anyway). Absolutely recommended.

23/02/2025: We ate some good raw fish. As a suggestion and not as a criticism it would improve the quality of the frying.

18/02/2025: Very nice restaurants The food is delicious and the the service is very good, the degustation menu' offers a huge variety of starters and a pasta or a second dish , The amount of food for the price you pay is ridiculously inexpensive, a must try in Catania . The place can get quite busy suggest to book in advance easily also to book via google.

11/01/2025: Evening in the splendid Acitrezza, the restaurant is small but nice inside, very clean, a characteristic location in front of the marina. Very friendly staff and good service. The pizza dough was excellent except that the toppings (of good quality) were rather low in quantity. For this reason I don't think I will return. Sin!!!!!
