Excellent food, lovingly prepared and absolutely delicious. The wine recommendation was particularly lovely; the red wine served with the meal was a perfect match and rounded off the evening beautifully.
The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy; you immediately feel welcome. The service was attentive and warm, especially the wine recommendation – a big thank you for that!
A place you'll gladly recommend and visit again yourself.

The antipasti platter for two was fantastic.

The place is welcoming, clean, and well-kept, with a truly pleasant atmosphere.
We had an appetizer, more than enough for two to share: plentiful, very good, and made with the freshest ingredients.
For our first course, we chose paccheri, truly excellent, prepared traditionally and in generous portions.
The mimosa cake was also very good, soft and tasty.
The staff is kind, smiling, and attentive.
A place where you eat well and where we will gladly return.

20/02/2026: San Michele restaurant in Catania is a true gem. The food is fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the chef personally ensures everything is to our liking.
I tried the squid ink pasta for the first time, and it was a revelation. The quality was exceptional, and I was completely satisfied. Stefania, in particular, is excellent at recommending the best dishes.
Overall, San Michele is a top-notch restaurant. I highly recommend it to anyone in Catania.

We are traveling with 20 month old toddler, the stuff helped us to arrange the food for the kid. Pizzas are outstanding, second dishes very very tasty. The waiter Joseppe was absolutely the best, very friendly, polite, and helpful!

15/02/2026: We recently went on holiday to Taormina and wanted to hike up Mount Etna. On the way, we stopped in Zafferano Etna, where a woman recommended that we don't eat in Taormina, but instead in a beautiful place called Forza d'Agro. It's about 30 minutes from Taormina, nestled in the mountains with stunning views of the sea and Calabria. Incidentally, scenes from the film "Il Padrino" were filmed there! We had a wonderful meal at this trattoria, of course with fish, and the value for money was excellent! Highly recommended!

01/03/2026: A quick stroll around the city, we tried this little place and let's say it's average... the sore point that led me to give it two stars is that they have to serve bread... the foundation of the table... you can make business decisions about a thousand things but not about the lack of bread! I'm sorry, even though the wine was excellent, I wouldn't return due to this small but very important detail.

22/02/2026: This was an amazing experience! The restaurant is beautiful, food is great, and the service! Everyone friendly, funny and it doesn't matter that they don't speak much English, it's even better, you will always find a way how to communicate.
15/02/2026: We had lunch with some friends and chose a fish appetizer with both fried and raw fish, all delicious. We particularly enjoyed the raw fish and the extremely delicate mixed fried fish. We continued with two first courses (paccheri and spaghetti with squid ink) and desserts, especially the single-serving cassata. Regarding the quality/price ratio, it's worth noting that the prices are quite high for the area. The setting is nice, but the atmosphere is a bit cold. Yesterday (Valentine's Day) I would have put something colorful on the table or a few candles to add to the theme. But that's just my personal opinion. The wait staff was friendly and courteous.
