04/01/2026: I'm sorry there are only five stars, because Trattoria degli Abbatazzi deserves many more: the ingredients are top-quality, the atmosphere is small but extremely comfortable and welcoming. But the service is the highlight of this little masterpiece nestled in the Baroque town of Acireale. The kindness, helpfulness, and attentive service make it a place you absolutely must try...and then fall in love with it, as we did.

Beyond that, the food was excellently cooked! The presentation was perfect! Fabrizio is second to none; he controls the dining room, not a thing out of place; he's incredibly attentive to his customers and always available to answer any questions, not to mention his mastery in recommending and explaining the dishes! I highly recommend the "swordfish sausage"—it sounds strange, but it's something you can't understand until you've tried it at least once! Congratulations! We also had the sea bass with mashed potatoes, and both were bursting with flavor—fresh, delicate fish paired with incredibly rich and comforting potatoes done just right. The meal started with excellent Sicilian bread and olive oil, followed by thoughtfully paired wines that complemented each dish beautifully. We finished with a delectable tiramisu, the perfect ending to an already flawless meal. Beyond the food, the service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, making the entire experience feel special from start to finish. 20/10/2025: The food is absolutely delicious, the best that we had in Sicily. Waiters are very helpful, polite. We are traveling with 20 month old toddler, the stuff helped us to arrange the food for the kid. Pizzas are outstanding, second dishes very very tasty. The waiter Joseppe was absolutely the best, very friendly, polite, and helpful!

22/10/2025: We were disappointed. The portions were small. One of the pasta dishes was not really cooked. We had to pay 3 Euro coperto per person, also for the children. The fish and seafood were very fresh. The service were friendly but could not guide us to a good wine in english. The location of this restaurant is of course very good, right in the city centre.

05/01/2026: I ate two meals during the four-day trip. The green plate of noodles was fettuccine with pesto, and it was delicious! It was very convenient to get there because I was staying nearby! If you eat dinner around 7 pm, you don't need to make a reservation.
