04/05/2025: Stopped by this place while driving the panoramic costal road. We were able to score a terrace table with a view of the castle. The food wine and service were excellent. The seafood is not to be missed. English menu available.

03/05/2025: Che dire.. Veranda esterna accattivante. Personale preparato e accogliente. Tutto molto buono e sopratutto mix di antipasti differenti da quello che trovi comunemente. Se poi aggiungi un po’ di crudi raggiungi livelli altissimi. Tutto bagnato dai migliori vini sardi a prezzi competitivi. Esperienza da ripetere certamente

29/04/2025: Siamo stati qui recentemente a pranzo e devo dire di aver mangiato davvero molto bene. Ho letto di recensioni dove si parlava di porzioni rosicate, al contrario io alla fine ho dovuto chiedere di prepararmi le teglie da portare a casa perché talmente abbondante da non riuscire a finire. È vero non c'è un menù e ci si deve affidare al cameriere che consiglia sui piatti del giorno. Gli antipasti di mare erano tanti, originali e abbondanti. Tra questi i a zuppa di lenticchie fagioli farro e frutti di mare buona da commuovere. Ottime le bavette ai crostacei (ed erano strapiene di crosta ei, non come in certi ristoranti dove ti mettono una chela contata). Io ho trovato tutto davvero perfetto e tutti cordialissimi. Grazie ancora dell'ottimo pranzo.

21/04/2025: If you are looking for real Italian food, great service and don't want to pay what you pay for the crappy food in the Centro Storico, this is the place to go. Really! None of the trattorias in the centrum of Alghero are as good as Lanterna.

25/05/2025: Pranzo di domenica in compagnia di mia moglie. Premetto di essere stato già tante volte in questo locale e di apprezzare la qualità, la velocità con cui vengono servite le pietanze e la gentilezza dei camerieri in generale...cosa che però quest'ultima volta non è stata ripetuta. Non pretendo il tappeto rosso all'ingresso, ma almeno un buon giorno all'ingresso ed un arrivederci all'uscita sarebbe già un bel segno di cortesia ed educazione, un modo di fare della cassiera che mi ha veramente colpito in negativo e che sempre più mi fa preferire altri locali. Peccato.

18/05/2025: Siamo stati l’altra sera a mangiare in questo locale, bellissima scoperta, il locale si presenta molto bene, arredato in stile moderno con riferimenti alla tradizione, si presenta anche molto pulito. Una volta seduti dopo aver preso la comanda ci sono arrivati gli entrè di benvenuto, e successivamente abbiamo preso il “coniglio di mare” con il “finocchio fondente” (da apprezzare le alternative vegane che non sempre si trovano), e successivamente io ho preso una lasagna di mare, piatti visivamente belli, e anche buoni, complimenti gli chef per la buona mano.

Exceptional cuisine and pizza, okay, well-kept and welcoming place, okay... but here you will find customer care that unfortunately has become a rare thing today. Staff always available but never intrusive, certainly thanks to impeccable management and a pleasant environment! Compliments to all the staff

25/05/2025: The "second shift" on Saturday is not recommended. We booked a table in the morning and were assigned a table with a time slot of 9:00-9:30 PM so, as requested, we arrived at the restaurant at 9:00 PM. At the entrance, a waiter welcomed us, saying that as soon as the table was free, they would have us sit down. Like us, many other people heard the same sentence repeated. In the end, we managed to enter at 9:50 PM. We were served quite quickly and the quality of the dinner can be judged average, the service not so much: novice waiters who were quite clumsy. I advise those who take reservations to indicate the time of 9:30 PM directly, especially on Saturdays, so that customers can also arrive calmly.

21/05/2025: Dinner with friends in the evening on the veranda...very pleasant atmosphere. Fast service and kind and attentive waiters. I recommend it.
