08/07/2025: I had a great time. The food is good, well-cooked, and the ingredients are fresh. The service is fast and they're very friendly.

23/06/2025: Stopped for a drink after visiting the Canischio with my 92 year old father, the place where his ancestors are from. Some Wonderful residents of the area took us around, explaining the history of the town. We ended our visit at this lovely bar! Friendly staff and patrons!

10/08/2025: The staff were some of the most friendly and accommodating people on our whole trip in Italy. They were really helpful in figuring out transportation to an early flight out of Turin Airport. It's also a very affordable place. Rooms were nice, clean, though the walls were a bit thin and we had a noisy neighbor. Not a tourist hub, but the area has plenty of good cafe's and eateries nearby. Great if you enjoy walking around the city you're staying. Turin is a wonderful city!

23/08/2025: We ate here on a Saturday for lunch. The first courses were truly delicious, worthy of the "scarpetta" (breadcrumb) and the place was lovely with a lake view. It's a shame the staff was apathetic and unsmiling (except for the lady who takes orders and works at the register, who was kind and smiling).

16/08/2025: We can't bring ourselves to accept the €40 lunch on August 15, 2025. It's an exorbitant price for a bare-bones portion and poor quality, with potatoes in their skins and wine on tap. What Caritas offered to the poor is much better.

14/07/2025: A beautiful location for this historic Asti pizzeria. The wait was too long for a Friday night. The pizza was acceptable, but the overall quality fell short of my expectations. The tables were partly rusty, with plain paper placemats. I was highly recommended the dessert (€6), but I wasn't entirely satisfied with the quality.

20/08/2025: We came here based on the good reviews and were thrilled with our discovery. The restaurant is a bit hidden in a small alley, but as soon as you walk past it, you're immediately drawn by the magical lights above the terrace. Despite the late hour (we arrived around 9:30 PM), the terrace was still full. Fortunately, there's a very large room on the first floor where we could freely choose a table. It's understandable that the atmosphere inside doesn't match the terrace, but there was nothing to complain about. As with most places in this region of Italy, communication is a bit tricky for tourists (only Italian), but here the lady serving us did everything she could to help us as best she could. She even found a colleague who spoke some English to help us with our order. That alone deserves an extra compliment, in our opinion. The food itself was perfect. Oddly enough, none of us chose pizza, but opted for various pasta dishes. The dishes not only looked beautiful, they also smelled wonderful and tasted fantastic. We were more than happy there. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to come back.

16/08/2025: Excellent pizzeria just steps from the center of Savigliano, with a charming outdoor seating area in a brightly lit alley. The pizza is truly special: soft, light, and well-leavened dough, with high-quality ingredients that you can taste from the first bite. The pizzas literally pop off the plate, generously sized and well-topped. The staff is friendly and attentive, and all at more than fair prices. Highly recommended for those seeking uncompromising taste and quality!

15/06/2025: I have had the opportunity to have lunch at this place only once... I think it's the last time. The food quality is fair. There would be a list of negatives to list but to name just a few: The lady owner. She is certainly good at welcoming customers but the management of the staff is terrible. Too rude and yells non-stop at the employees for whom I myself felt a great pity. The place is quite old and not very clean. In my opinion it is unhygienic to keep the bread in the pans on a trolley in the middle of the room on which, moreover, a fan is placed, rightly so. This place is definitely recommended to NAS!

06/08/2025: I had been to this place on Tuesday evening after years, when it was still called L'ancora.....since I no longer live in Turin, I hadn't been there again...last night, being in the city and curious about the tasting menu, we tried it...horrible in every way, dirty, smelling of old fish, appetizer not definable with melted cheese on top to cover the old first course, risotto with seafood. It didn't arrive, but a risotto with sauce and 3 shrimp arrived...frozen fried food and all without an asterisk.....old, dirty place...never again, I gave 60 euros and the waitress, after showing me the menu, kept insisting that I had made a mistake (she knows). We looked at the menu together again, which said risotto or spaghetti with seafood...I didn't say a word, paid and goodbye.....not to mention the dirty, old, strange smell.....never again I recommend that, as I've been going to restaurants for years and I'm not a pain in the ass...get rid of this type of menu...work with quality products instead With higher prices but still edible... I would never, ever, bring such disgusting food to my guests' table... And I wonder how certain customers are happy to eat like this... never again... Graziano

02/07/2025: Terrible already when you arrive for check in the girl, very arrogant, seemed like she was doing me a favor even when she said the floor of the room and she had to repeat it because she didn't even make herself understood, room not very clean and air conditioning (old style) and it didn't cool at all. Excellent location, that's the only saving grace.

24/08/2025: Let me start by saying that this is a purely subjective review. I'm sorry because I've often had good experiences, but today it was completely negative. The pizza wasn't cooked, there was a pizza plus beer and dessert promotion on the menu that said "EXCLUDING FISH-BASED PIZZAS," but then they told us verbally that wasn't the case because he said so and so it should be fine anyway. I repeat, verbally, when I asked why it wasn't written, I was told that it wasn't necessary to write because he decided and it was the same thing. The only positive thing was the waiter (who, despite being treated badly by a rude member of staff), works very well, very kind, helpful, friendly, and smiling. When we got to the cashier, they didn't even ask us if we liked it, and they didn't give us any explanations on the website, saying that just reading it is all written down is enough. As for me and my friends there, we won't be setting foot there again, even though we've been eating here for years.

11/07/2025: La Pizzeria Centro era un'istituzione a Novara, ci venivo dai tempi della scuola, pizza buona, prezzi onesti. Ci sono tornata ora dopo un paio d'anno, che tracollo! Pizza salatissima, cozze passabili, birra alla spina con più schiuma che birra, dimensioni bicchiere più piccole della norma, buffet delle verdure decisamente triste, prezzi carissimi!!! Coperto 2 euro e mezzo, il personale nemmeno saluta. E la gestione non è che sia cambiata. Da novarese, la sconsiglio.

21/06/2025: We went there by chance and we had a good time, the price at midday on Saturday 18.00 is all you can eat, they don't make you wait long.

31/03/2025: Das Essen im Pontile war so ausgezeichnet, dass wir gleich 3 Mal dort zu Abend gegessen haben. Die Bedienung war äusserst freundlich, speditiv und sehr kompetent. Die Speisen waren äusserst lecker, ansprechend zubereitet und angerichtet und zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Wir können das Pontile nur empfehlen.

27/07/2025: We sat inside the restaurant, where the decor was traditional and very cozy. We ordered pizza. It's a traditional Neapolitan pizza with a thick crust, which can be made in many different variations upon request. We really enjoyed the pizza! We would recommend the restaurant to anyone who enjoys stone-baked pizza.

26/07/2025: We had a really good meal at Lo Scalo! Everything was consistently delicious. The Pasta Frutti di Mare is especially recommended – perfectly balanced, with plenty of seafood, and simply amazing flavor. You can easily enjoy three courses here because the quality is consistently impressive, from appetizer to dessert. One of the better restaurants on the promenade – a little more expensive, but absolutely worth the price. Great food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere – we'll definitely be back!
