08/06/2025: La terrazza sul lago è bellissima. Vista meravigliosa!! Piatti di pesce ci sono piaciuti, siamo stati piú volte. Un consiglio che diamo è modernizzare l’arredamento interno, davvero molto datato. Per il resto, a noi è piaciuto e i camerieri molto gentili.

03/06/2025: Avevo prenotato per portare degli ospiti ad assaggiare una pizza autentica, pensata per veri estimatori e non per turisti. Già all’arrivo della pizza al tavolo si è notato il cambio di gestione. Peccato, perché era una delle migliori pizzerie della zona. Cinque stelle solo per la vista, che resta meravigliosa. Per il resto, una pizza banale e sotto la media !

26/05/2025: Locale carino con dehors vista lago, arredamento semplice ma accogliente. Le porzioni dei vari piatti sono abbondanti, buona la qualità del cibo. Professionale e molto simpatico il cameriere (napoletano) che ci ha servito. Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

18/05/2025: I had a warm seafood appetizer, first course garganelli with asparagus and shrimp, and second course mixed grilled fish. The food was very good, worth it, the portions are generous and fish The service was fast even though there were 2 tables of 10-15 people. I spent the right amount. I will definitely go back.

09/04/2025: As a big “Bib Goumand” fan, Ristorante Villa Aurora was one of my “food trip” destinations on Lake Garda. Judging by the prices, the food was good. Ingredients, preparation, mise en scène – it works. But for a “Bib”, I personally was missing a little more finesse and WOW.

12/06/2025: This is the umpteenth time we return to this restaurant, and each time it is a truly pleasant experience. The food is excellent, the service always attentive and friendly, and the setting is simply enchanting. Highly recommended, a place where you always return with great pleasure!

11/06/2025: At lunchtime, when it's crowded and hot everywhere in Sirmione, this restaurant is a lovely place to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Of course, the pizza is a bit more expensive than at other restaurants, but it's also better! The other dishes also looked better, and the salmon we had was very, very good. One star deducted for the service because there was an unfinished grissini bag in our bread basket, and the bread slices weren't positioned correctly, as I noticed later when paying. There were also dead insects on the blanket and in my glass. But otherwise, it was very good!

19/05/2025: The new owner is sending aggressive responses to poor reviews which took place before they took over in March 2024 apparently . Due to THIS reason, and not the original reasons I wrote over 3 years ago, this is clearly not a place I wish to visit again. As requested, I deleted my old review (2star) and posted a new review (1 star) with my current experience of the restaurant.

19/05/2025: Edit to the owner: Thank you for your response of 05/19/25 Before you cry foul and threaten me, which also amounts to legal action on my part. You'll notice that the review is from 8 years ago. I'm not supposed to know that the management of the establishment has changed. So, learn to read and this will prevent you from being made to look like someone you're not with this ridiculous comment. For the trouble, it's downgraded to a 1*. Beautiful location, beautiful decor of the dining room and exterior. The wait time for a table was decent, the staff were friendly but not very welcoming. The food ordered was good, but nothing special. I expected a little better.

13/04/2025: ⸻ Il locale si trova in una zona abbastanza centrale di Brescia, facilmente raggiungibile e con comodo parcheggio. L’ambiente è un po’ datato, ma nel complesso si presenta bene. E qui, purtroppo, si conclude la parte positiva della recensione. Scorrendo il menù, si trovano primi piatti di terra e di mare a prezzi decisamente sopra la media. Capisco l’inflazione, la guerra, il caro energia e tutto quello che volete, ma vedere i primi partire da 15 € lascia un po’ perplessi. Un esempio? “Spaghetti alle vongole” a 17 €… a Brescia, in un locale così, ha davvero senso? Altro esempio: “Casoncello con gamberi e dadolata di calamaro” a 22 €. Passiamo alle pizze. Le “classiche” hanno prezzi tutto sommato in linea con il mercato attuale: dai 7 € ai 12 €, purtroppo ormai standard. Il problema vero arriva con le cosiddette pizze “gourmet”, che non sono altro che pizze napoletane contemporanee con cornicione alto e ingredienti un po’ più ricercati, ma proposte a prezzi totalmente fuori mercato. Un esempio su tutti: la pizza “Positano”, con mozzarella di bufala, pomodoro, spinacino, carpaccio di branzino, pan trito aromatizzato e scaglie di limone… 24 €! E ora il servizio di sala. Arriviamo alle 20:15, ci fanno accomodare e ci chiedono da bere. Ordiniamo due birre medie che arrivano dopo 15 minuti. Dopo altri 5 minuti chiediamo di poter ordinare il cibo: due pizze e una porzione di patatine fritte, specificando al cameriere: “Le patatine portatele quando volete, anche prima delle pizze, facciamo aperitivo.” Le patatine arrivano abbastanza in fretta, circa 5 minuti dopo, fritte al momento ma in una porzione piuttosto misera (5 €), comunque nella media. Finito le patatine iniziamo ad attendere le pizze. Avevamo ordinato intorno alle 20:25. Alle 21:15 ancora nulla. Eravamo già spazientiti da almeno venti minuti: due pizze in una pizzeria dovrebbero arrivare al massimo in 15 minuti. La goccia che fa traboccare il vaso? Una tavolata vicina a noi, arrivata almeno 40 minuti dopo, comincia a ricevere le pizze. Chiamiamo il cameriere, segnaliamo la cosa e ci dice che ci sono stati problemi nella gestione della comanda. Dopo la segnalazione, le pizze arrivano in circa 10 minuti, quindi alle 21:25. Le pizze, per fortuna, erano buone e di dimensioni nella norma. Durante tutta la cena, il personale di sala sembrava completamente in balia degli eventi: piatti portati ai tavoli sbagliati, camerieri che non sapevano a chi fosse destinata una comanda, rientravano in cucina e poi tornavano in sala confusi. Una gestione veramente allo sbaraglio. Chiudo con una “chicca” che forse farebbe piacere ai NAS: un addetto della cucina – non so se cuoco, aiuto cuoco o pizzaiolo – va in bagno contemporaneamente a me (già discutibile che usi quello dei clienti), entra, fa quel che deve fare in fretta, esce… e rientra di corsa in cucina senza lavarsi le mani. Bella immagine, vero? Sorvolo infine sulla fetta di torta presa dalla mia compagna: non merita neanche un commento. Al momento del conto, segnalo alla (presunta) proprietaria l’attesa eccessiva per le pizze. Mi risponde: “Eh sì, ce ne siamo accorti, abbiamo fatto confusione con le patatine e aspettavamo quella comanda per farvi poi le pizze”. Di fronte a questa risposta, preferisco non aggiungere nulla. Ci fa uno sconto di 4 €, e chiudiamo con un conto da 50 € per: due pizze (attese un’ora e un quarto), due birre medie, una porzione di patatine fritte e una fetta di torta. Spero sia stata solo una serata storta per loro, ma noi di sicuro non ci torneremo mai più.

05/06/2025: We are two people. It was a gloomy evening and the restaurant was fortunately not full. Definitely excellent food, homemade sea bass ravioli with a truly fragrant and well-defined fish filling. Tagliolini with clams were delicious. The second courses were equally good: cod with chestnuts, truly special, and char with almond flakes and special fragrant herbs. Coffee brittle with meringue and delicious cream!!!...Sorry, I took a picture of the dessert a little too late!

12/05/2025: VERY GOOD PIZZA WITH FRESH INGREDIENTS, WITH FIRST COURSES PLENTY OF PORTIONS, COURTEOUS AND COMPETENT STAFF, NICE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

04/05/2025: I happened to have lunch with my wife by chance, and I can say that it was a great experience! We took "only" the cold and hot fish starters for 2, so €28 each for that dish, and we appreciated the quality of the fish, the quantity, the nest in which it was cooked. Kind service, informal environment.

02/06/2025: Absolutely fantastic food and service. The place was packed, so we probably had to wait a bit for our food. Unfortunately, the restrooms are neglected, so one point deducted.

03/06/2025: Welcoming place and exquisite staff. Excellent and fresh dishes, good value for money for the area: We took 2 first courses and a shared second course, half a prosecco, 1 water and 2 coffees.. spent €83 I recommend it. Satisfied!

02/06/2025: As for the food, everything is perfect. A very tasty octopus salad, for example, was a starter. A very good steak. The location is fantastic, with a view of the mini harbor. Only the service could be friendlier. They just get the job done, without being particularly friendly or attentive. There's still room for improvement...and the prices are a bit high.
