13/10/2025: I had booked Friday 10/10 for Sunday 12/10 for a day in Monterosso. The owner or someone on his behalf told me, "Don't worry, we're in low season and there's no crowds." I'll leave my last name and cell phone number. On Sunday 12/10 we arrived for lunch and, to our disbelief, there was a note on the restaurant door saying they were closed due to a technical problem. It's okay that a problem could arise, but if you have reservations and you know you can't keep them with the contact details, it might be better to call to let them know what happened. Or, it's only the customer's obligation to call if they cancel. I'm sorry, but the problem was finding a place in other restaurants since we're in low season and there's no crowds. If we wanted to have lunch, we settled for a bit of focaccia and ate standing up.

24/09/2025: Very disappointing. Exactly 6 ravioli on the plate; we didn't taste the truffle. Not a bad dish, but €55 for 2 people and leaving on an empty stomach... I absolutely do not recommend it.

21/09/2025: A wonderful day at the beach! And why not end it with a good dinner? I booked and arrived a little early. A table right on the beach (it's the lido restaurant), with a splendid view of the island of Bergeggi and Capo Noli, with the bay of Spotorno and Noli itself. So far, so good. I ordered fried food (anchovies, shrimp, vegetables, calamari (frozen), and my wife ordered stuffed calamari (frozen). I don't understand. You have the sea 5 meters away, and you're serving me frozen products!!!! You charge me 22 euros for fried food! Well, I expect fried food to be delicious and worth returning for. Instead,...,... a soulless fried food (perhaps worth 14 euros). The calamari (3, actually) was 18 euros, meaningless. Wine (a half bottle of Vermentino) was 13 euros. The cover charge was 5 euros to finish off on a high note. Spending a lot and eating well is fine. Spending a lot and leaving disappointed by the absurd prices is NOT.

30/08/2025: It's embarrassing, rude people. Perhaps the right job for them would be to work alone in the archives, away from the public. Terrible, unhelpful, they don't keep separate accounts, and they hang the sign a meter off the ground. How embarrassing.

24/08/2025: We came back specifically for pasta and clams, but it was really, really bad. Spaghettini (???!! I've never seen pasta and clams with the very fine ones) were also undercooked. There was no seafood flavor, really disappointing! The quality/price ratio was out of proportion. Too bad. I made a bad impression on the people I brought.

24/08/2025: Dated restaurant, if you pay by card it seems like they are doing you a favor, unreadable receipts and very long waiting times, rude and uninterested owner, not a good choice at all, I strongly advise against it

10/04/2026: We had lunch at "La Cantina," and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences in recent memory. The food was terrible. Everything was of extremely poor quality, flavorless, and clearly carelessly prepared. The staff was rude from start to finish (when booking). The only positive thing is the sea view, which is truly beautiful. However, to enjoy the same view (or even better), just cross the beach and go to the other side, where there are several restaurants. In short: if you want to waste time and money on a mediocre meal and unpleasant service, La Cantina is the place to go. Otherwise, I highly recommend choosing one of the restaurants on the other side of the beach. It's worth it. I will never go back.

07/04/2026: I arrive in San Fruttuoso by dinghy with friends and, in the absence of buoys serving boats, I dock the dinghy in the small marina in the eastern bay, intent on disembarking to eat at La Cantina. After completing the docking procedures, I'm verbally assaulted by a young man who boasts about the La Cantina restaurant and rudely reminds me that I can't dock there, acting as deputy for the person who regulates mooring in that marina on a gray day with very little tourist traffic. He reminds me that the restaurant's buoys cost 50 euros without a shuttle service to the restaurant. It's a good caricature of what is jokingly called "typical Ligurian hospitality." Reading the other comments, I certainly don't regret the dishes, even if I haven't tried them, and I'll have even less regrets about the service, since a welcome like this has made me want to return.

23/07/2025: Horrible place. We ordered mussel soup—they brought us some kind of slop on a plate: shrimp with sand, mussels that smelled rotten. Abbiamo ordinato una zuppa di cozze—ci hanno portato una specie di schifezza nel piatto: gamberi pieni di sabbia, cozze che puzzavano di marcio. Come immaginavo, mi sono intossicata anche se ne ho mangiate solo un paio. Non lo consiglio a nessuno!

02/10/2025: And to think that it used to be a pretty high-end restaurant... we went there one evening... there was no one there, and that already alarmed us... we ordered a pizza (good food, but nothing spectacular), and a plate of spaghetti with clams (it felt like we were eating pasta with oil). Embarrassing, to say the least...

14/09/2025: 1 month ago we had a terrible meal, the bill was too high, maybe the chef had run away... Afterwards we went to eat a sandwich.

25/08/2025: Not reccomended, you can hear yelling from kitchen, staff is mistreated, saw food getting picked up from floor by owner when i went to the toilet, food isn't very good, just near the port for tourists, didn't recieve bill, nightmare, wrong oders delivered, and pasta that should have been yellow came out white, bathroom disgustingly dirty

24/08/2025: Costa del Sert. They were yelling in the kitchen, and the owner was even swearing at the staff. The waiter was definitely in trouble, or at least pretty out of sync. The recycling bins were inside, clearly visible when going to the bathroom (top quality). The pizzas were raw, the dough was white. We left everything behind. Never ever again! No point in talking about service, etc. Nightmare kitchen. We strongly advise against it!
