06/07/2025: Nothing to say about the food and service, the restaurant is worth a visit. Tasty and well-prepared dishes, excellent quality raw materials. Personally, I was unlucky and had dinner with only one great desire: to finish quickly and leave as soon as possible. At the table next to ours, 3 people were dining with a dog, who for the entire duration of the meal was free to approach almost to my chair and to run around between the legs of the waitresses while they served the various courses. Furthermore, the dog was free to stand up on its hind legs and put its front paws on the tablecloth, table, chairs, etc. Finally, the dog also gave himself a good shake a couple of times and this left me quite perplexed, thinking of fleas, insects and various parasites that could have been spread around. Not everyone likes furry friends while dining... I found great disrespect on the part of the owners of the animal, and little attention on the part of the manager of the place who, despite there being several free tables, positioned us in the corridor and near the bogeyman... Last but not least, every minimum hygiene rule is gone beyond if the dog on duty has the opportunity to rub against the clothes of the waiters who enter and exit the kitchen or if, even worse, the latter pet them between one course and another, without sanitizing their hands properly.

17/07/2025: We had a great last evening here. The food, especially classic dishes, was great. Loved the tranquility of the restaurant with great views over Rapallo, Portofino etc. Also great value for € Get away from the city and spend an evening heter.

03/08/2025: Pedí los espaguetis de marisco e IT fue fácilmente lo mejor que he comido durante todo el viaje. La salsa era exquisita - picante y lleno de almejas, langoustine y gambas con tomates cherry. La pasta también estaba fresca y cocinada a la perfección. Delicioso, de verdad. Ojalá hubiera descubierto el restaurante antes, para poder volver más veces. No puedo recomendar IT suficiente.

27/07/2025: Gran pequeño restaurante en el corazón del casco antiguo de Monterosso, que sirve pasta casera, mariscos frescos y una gran selección de pizzas. Todo estaba delicioso.

20/07/2025: We dined at the restaurant on the lower level of the Brasserie, sitting outside at a somewhat cramped table for three, due to the rather close seating. The view is undoubtedly one of the restaurant's strong points, as is the quality of the ingredients, which is truly excellent. That said, in a setting like this, we would have expected greater attention to detail. The cover charge, which costs a hefty €4, is rather basic: no tablecloth, no welcome entrée, and service lacked attention in some respects. Breadsticks and bread, for example, were counted precisely based on the number of diners, and the wine, served by the glass, was not offered for tasting. The portions of the dishes are in line with the restaurant's caliber, and the proposed pairings are well-balanced. Overall, we had a lovely evening and ate very well, although we lacked the extra attention to detail that would have made the experience truly complete.

05/07/2025: Since it was a Friday night I expected to find a lot more people and instead the people were outside and inside the completely empty room. I chose this place because of the quite high reviews that I read from various guests. Unfortunately, it went badly for me in the sense that there was something that made me feel sick. I left the restaurant with a very swollen belly and in the middle of the night I woke up feeling sick in my intestines and that continues to this day. I ate the lean ravioli with tomato sauce, the chicken cutlet with chips (half a portion of which was left behind because they were not cooked well) and the lemon sorbet. I don't know... what a shame 😞

23/06/2025: Full marks!!!! The fish is extremely juicy and not overly seasoned. The aromas of the fish are excellent. The price-quality ratio is really great. A whole fish costs 18 or 24 euros. The vegetables are also extremely juicy. The interior is simple, functional and cozy. You have to book a place here in advance the day before to be sure you get in. I went there a couple of times and couldn't fit in anymore. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come here again. Even a standard Warsteiner tasted heavenly here.

25/07/2025: Had an evening meal here with my wife and son (11). Beautiful setting, service excellent… food was a little mixed… I would recomend simply for the setting!

23/07/2025: We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen door de supervriendelijke staff. Het eten was excellent, lekker, mooi opgediend. Op een heel idyllisch plaatsje.

01/08/2025: I've read some reviews, especially the last one. We've been going to this restaurant for 15 years, and in my opinion, there's no other restaurant/pizzeria that compares to it, both in terms of quality and price. We come from Brescia and spend almost as much here at Ventanargo. The permanent and very professional staff, as well as the occasional staff on busy evenings, do a decent job, but I can never, ever, say in 15 YEARS that I've experienced any poor service or rudeness. It's well known that customers are never satisfied; they want to be served immediately, and they don't realize that on some very busy evenings, there are longer waits than usual. But as for me, I prefer to wait up to an hour for service if necessary, but I wouldn't change places in Arma or the surrounding area if I want quality and value. Leo from Brescia.

29/07/2025: We went to dinner a few nights ago, reserving a table for the first shift. As soon as we were seated, the annoyed waitress started telling us there was an hour wait for pizzas! We asked why, and she replied that the place was full (??). If a pizzeria can't serve all its customers, perhaps they should reduce the number of tables or avoid doing takeout, giving priority to customers seated at tables! We've never had anything like this happen to us! Furthermore, one of the pizzas that arrived after an hour was burnt, but given the time we had, we didn't dare ask for a remake. Terrible experience!

31/07/2025: Dopo anni scelgo di ritornare in questo lido perché conservo uno splendido ricordo! Gestione familiare, cucina curata sia nella scelta che nel trattare le materie prime. Andrea e Mario proseguono la tradizione di famiglia con amore dedizione e passione. Ti fanno sentire a casa, disponibili e professionali. Cosa volere di più!!! Spiaggia attrezzata con spazi molto ampi. Grazie di tutto! Consigliatissimo!!!!

24/07/2025: Mi marido y yo fuimos a Ventimillia por el día mientras estaba de vacaciones en Niza y tuvimos la mejor pasta y pizza de todos los tiempos y a un precio muy razonable! Restaurante encantador, personal amable y un gran servicio. Sin duda volveré de nuevo.

02/07/2025: A beautiful place. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the service was even better. The location, an open-air terrace surrounded by beautiful little houses, allows you to listen to the chimes. We loved it; it's so charming, yet it conveys a sense of familiarity and simplicity. We'd love to return!

12/06/2025: Abbiamo cenato fuori nel dehor personale attento e preparato. 2 antipasti 2 secondi vino pigato (hanno portato secchiello con ghiaccio), piatti molto belli alla vista e ottimo pesce. Prezzo giusto per il contesto (100 euro)

19/07/2025: Good food quality, terrible service. The waiters threw chairs to clear tables late, rushing around and slamming plates to get things done quickly. The food was salty, but the wine list was good; perhaps it deserves a second chance during the week. The waiters could definitely be more friendly and professional, even when the restaurant is busy.

15/07/2025: L’antipasto perfetto. Le linguine buone ma con eccesso di scorza di limone che attribuivano al piatto un retrogusto amaro poco appetibile. Servizio curato se tralascio di essermi dovuta sorbire ( è andato per ke lunghe ..) la reprimenda di un cameriere capo (?)? Ad un cameriere di colore. I panni sporchi vanno lavati altrove.

27/07/2025: Torniamo in questo locale dopo anni....passano gli anni ma la magia di un ottima cena non è cambiata...anzi... Proprietario meraviglioso...,come le ragazze che collaborano e addette al servizio ai tavoli... Gentili disponibili e simpatiche...insomma top! Qualità prezzo direi impareggiabile.... Abbiamo mangiato piatti davvero gustosi a dei prezzi comunque davvero sotto alla media... Penso che questa politica sia assolutamente vincente visto il pienone.... Una proposta di piatti ottimi a prezzi contenuti direi più che ottimo... Abitiamo un po lontani altrimenti ci vedrebbe più spesso... Non vediamo l ora di tornare ... 25/07/2025: Very welcoming and just steps from the sea, Alì's Ristorantino is attractive in its simplicity. Its real strength is the quality of the ingredients used by Alì and his staff to prepare delicious seafood dishes in generous quantities. Highly recommended.

25/07/2025: I'm only reviewing the surreal phone call I had with this place. I'm doing so because, as a Ligurian, I'm honestly tired of seeing all the clichés about hospitality in my region confirmed. First call: a woman answers. I ask if there might be a table for two available that evening (it doesn't hurt to try). She says, "Just a moment," puts the phone down (without putting it on hold) and begins talking to her colleagues for a good two minutes. I assume there was some problem in the dining room, but so be it. She picks up the phone and simply says, "Call me back in five minutes, please." Okay, don't worry, I answer politely. I call back after 5-10 minutes. A man answers. I ask if it would be possible, if there were availability, to have a table with a view (not knowing the restaurant's table layout) at the time indicated. His response, in a clearly annoyed and rude tone: "Look, when you come here, if there's room outside, we'll put you outside; if not, we'll put you inside." His tone was so arrogant that I had a hard time not hanging up and telling him to go fuck himself. An incredibly rude and inappropriate attitude. I immediately crossed this place off my list, and I should point out that I've never even eaten there. Reading other reviews, I see I'm not the only one to have experienced this "pill of arrogance" branded Orto di Ameste. Only in Liguria... Until restaurateurs, hoteliers, and the like understand that not everything is owed just because they're lucky enough to work in wonderful places (thanks to nature, not them), we'll never escape the stigma we carry.
