11/05/2026: Eating at Franco's is a truly sensory experience, combined with the richness of the place and his friendliness (as well as his artistic talent!). The menu is chosen by the chef based on your preferences (meat or fish), and the dishes are delicious and carefully prepared. A one-of-a-kind location, like stepping back in time... Not to be missed!

08/06/2026: The service was very friendly and attentive. The food, however, was merely okay. We ordered the fried calamari, the fried fish mix, a mixed salad, and a pizza. The pizza at least tasted like a pizza. I thought you couldn't go wrong with fried calamari, but it was absolutely bland. The fried vegetable side dishes were also quite tasteless. The mixed salad came in a large bowl that was only half-filled and carelessly arranged. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this restaurant.

19/05/2026: A quaint and welcoming trattoria in the heart of Genoa, discovered during a visit to the Aquarium. Excellent food and generous portions. Several gluten-free options, including fresh pasta and fried fish. Friendly and helpful staff. A must-try!

05/02/2026: This summer I spent my vacation at "Domus Vittoria," a 19th-century vacation home in Sannicola (not far from Gallipoli), and the owner raved about the place. Since I was in Genoa, I took his advice and treated friends to dinner: excellent food and generous portions. The staff were very professional and welcoming.

15/05/2026: Unfortunately, our reservation was suddenly cancelled without explanation just one hour before! It's a shame; the restaurant's planning needs to be better! If there's no space available at that time, they shouldn't accept reservations in advance!

26/04/2026: We were staying at the hotel and wanted to try the restaurant. The view was magnificent, but we were very disappointed with the food, which we found quite bland, even the chocolate dessert. A disappointing €200 meal for two… The aperitif at the Skyr bar, however, was very good.

02/06/2026: Beautiful location right on the waterfront, nice touch they give u a prosecco when you sit down. Food was super, fresh fish, perfectly prepared..we enjoyed it so much we booked a table for another night before we left!

30/05/2026: A blast from at least 25 years ago for a gathering of friends who frequented it almost every night! The old Pirata remains, perfectly satisfying all your needs, where you can have fun with friends, enjoy good food, and enjoy good music! I definitely won't wait that long to return for another enjoyable evening!

19/04/2026: For every anniversary, celebration, or occasion, we spend a couple of fantastic hours here in our favorite restaurant, where everything is perfect! Great atmosphere, excellent food, service, and attention to detail, all of which we treat as friends!

19/08/2025: As indicated by the 5-star rating for the food, it's definitely a place where you eat well. Even if it's quite expensive. That said, I find it incredible that the atmosphere is so neglected. No ventilation (and I don't even mean air conditioning). The bathroom is dirty and old, and within a single evening, it practically became a stinking latrine. Tradition and history are one thing. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't give the place dignity. And respect our customers.

30/07/2025: The place is noisy and the service is rather slow. The appetizers are excellent, the first courses are average.

20/05/2026: Beautiful location and delicious food!

19/05/2026: If you are staying in Monterosso or even traveling to Cinque Terre, Il Casello is a must visit! We stopped here the first night and were lucky enough to get a table outside without a reservation (definitely call ahead if you can). We were promptly greeted by friendly servers and sat with a spectacular view. Great selection of wine and food. The first night we had the stuffed mussels and then the gnocchi and local fish with lemon sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! Finished with their house made tiramisu which was spectacular. One of the owners, Jennifer, was so great and made sure that everything was perfect. We came back on our last night because we loved it so much. We had the award wining stuffed anchovies (highly recommend!!) and the octopus ragu pasta and the seafood spaghetti. Again, everything was terrific. You cannot beat the service, the view, and the food. Cannot recommend this place enough! We cannot wait to come back once we are able to visit Cinque Terre again. Thank you Jennifer!

29/05/2026: Fabulous pizza restaurant in San Michele di Pagana between Rapallo and Santa Margherita Ligura. Best described as elegant casual dining. Lots of menu choices for every appetite. We enjoyed Pizza Diavola paired with the “Italia” salad. We loved the crust and the spice of the pizza. Enjoyed the flavors and freshness of the salad. Bitburger Pils on tap was our beverage of choice. Atmosphere suffered a minor deduction due to restaurant location on a very busy corner. That did not take away from the delicious meal. We will definitely return!

10/05/2026: A fairly busy place, offering pizza and seafood specialties. The pizza is good, the fish is nothing special, and the service is a bit inattentive and slow.

24/04/2026: We loved this place! Service was adorable even though the waiter was by himself, serving he whole restaurant. It took a bit longer to order but it was worth the wait. The food was delicious, fresh and super tasty. We will come back to this gorgeous place.

19/05/2026: Extremely slow service, I waited 1 hour after ordering a simple focaccia, and they didn't take into account the small child who got impatient. In other family restaurants they are more considerate if they see a child at the table and try to serve you as quickly as possible, so in the end it was a negative experience for everyone.

18/05/2026: This place in Sori is a true gem of Liguria ❤️ It's a true local spot, a true local haunt, and honestly, the best restaurant I've ever been to. Everything here is incredibly delicious—especially the local focaccia, which makes you want to come back. Everything is homemade, warm, and full of love, like your mom was feeding you. 💕🫶🏻
