04/05/2026: Arriving at this restaurant is like coming home: the waiters immediately bring you chips, pickled vegetables, seasoned Taggiasca olives, and a glass of white wine, making you feel instantly pampered. The menu ranges from excellent pizzas to traditional Italian first courses and meat and fish main courses, all excellent. When I'm in Chiavari, I always book a dinner at Promenade, which, in my opinion, is one of the best restaurants in Chiavari.

The food creations by Massimo are exceptional, always paired with great Italian wines. He keeps guests entertained throughout the evening with his charm and passion. If you’re lucky, he may play the piano for you, making the experience even more memorable. The service is flawless, with a real eye for detail, and the beautiful décor filled with art adds to the special ambiance. This has become our favourite restaurant — and even though we live in France, we happily travel back just to visit Massimo, who after all these years feels like family to us♥️

07/06/2026: The place stands out only for its large oven that builds fire and pizzas with the speed of a machine gun. The rest of the place looks like a place with slightly dated seaside decor. But that's no big deal, since you get to eat. And that's where things change: the pizza is light yet rich, like a simple dress made of the most expensive silk. I also had the tagliata, which left a lovely smoky flavor that opens up your stomach. The extra bill wasn't even high. The only downside was perhaps the wait, which was a bit long, but in the end, who cares when you're on vacation? The most important thing is the food; good.

01/06/2026: The outdoor seating area was beautifully set with tablecloths, napkins, and glasses. We enjoyed two delicious pizzas, and the service was quick and friendly. A lovely meal before catching the ferry to Corsica.

08/06/2026: We stumbled upon this delightful hotel almost by chance. It's dated but has modern, unique rooms! The welcome and parking were commendable, and the owners were particularly friendly. The breakfast was varied and tasty, including delicious homemade products made by the owner. Highly recommended!

10/05/2026: A truly evocative place with optically stunning dishes as striking as the blue of the bay. The wait staff are very attentive and knowledgeable in explaining the dishes offered by the kitchen. It's worth trying at least once, and if it's your date, it could make all the difference.

26/04/2026: We returned with our friends Paolo and Francesca for dinner. The atmosphere was very charming, the food excellent, and the service impeccable. We will definitely be back.

06/06/2026: Don't go there with a child. We received a terrible welcome; we were given a table in the sun with a two-year-old, even though there were tables in the shade available. The waitresses clearly didn't want to serve us.

01/06/2026: In Bordighera Alta, where the setting itself invites you to slow down, La Gritta Bordigotta offers simple, measured seafood cuisine, without unnecessary complications. The menu isn't overwhelming: just a few dishes, well-focused. And for me, that's already a plus. I prefer a short, thoughtful menu to endless ones that often lose the cuisine's identity. I started with the raw fillet of the catch of the day: clean, fresh ingredients, showcased without overshadowing them. A seemingly simple dish, because when working with raw fish, the quality of the fish must speak for itself. And here it does. For my second course, I chose the mupa fillet, prepared with the same logic: linear cuisine, respect for the product, and clear flavors. There's no pursuit of special effect, but rather an attention to the ingredients that is visible and, above all, tasted in the quality of the dish. As a gourmet, I also treated myself to dessert: dark chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream. A delicious, intense, yet balanced finish. A pleasant, yet not overpowering finish. For the pairing, I chose a Greco di Tufo DOCG – Cantine di Marzo dal 1647. A well-structured white wine from Campania, fresh and savory, with a pleasant mineral and citrus note. Cantine di Marzo recommends that this Greco be aged on its lees for at least seven months, which contributes to its complexity and body. With the raw fish and mupa, it proved to be a perfect pairing: upright enough to cleanse the palate, yet with enough substance to accompany the main course as well. Overall, a very pleasant experience: a few dishes, good ingredients, simple yet thoughtful cuisine. One of those tables where you don't feel like the fish is over-interpreted, but rather respected. And for me, when it comes to seafood, that's an important quality.

09/09/2025: Top restaurant! The owners are very kind and always available!! It never disappoints, the bathroom is clean and there's a pool, which is convenient with kids. The sea is gorgeous.

07/09/2025: Beautiful, clean facility with excellent beach service. The restaurant is also open in the evenings. They offer excellent, carefully prepared seafood dishes.

18/03/2026: I returned to try it again after a good visit, but this time I wasn't satisfied. I found the restaurant's walls stained and peeling. The dishes were downsized, and the bill was too high for what you get. The bread basket and breadsticks were excellent.

22/02/2026: This was my second experience here, and I have to say I had a great time again... the place is small and welcoming. I recommend the tasting menu for a surprise dinner... yes, to the Customer Care. Excellent products, delicate flavors. Perhaps I could make a criticism, to be picky about some things regarding the renovation of the space... the walls, the chairs, which in my opinion could be improved, but just to find a flaw, that's it... Nothing to say about the service in general. So, recommended especially for intimate dinners for the welcoming and quiet atmosphere.
