12/10/2025: Great food and friendly service. I visit Sestri several times a year, but this time I spent my vacation there with my wife. I'd never eaten here before, although I'd passed by many times, and this restaurant pleasantly surprised me. We stumbled upon it by chance. It was the first restaurant near the train station open so early, and we had to wait until 2:00 PM for the keys to our apartment. I hope to visit them again. I drive past it on my way to Fivizano or Lucca at work.

05/10/2025: Personally, the restaurant is truly excellent, both for its meat and seafood menus. The pizza is tasty and well-made, and the atmosphere is quiet and quaint. The staff is helpful and very friendly, making the service excellent. I often come here to eat with friends, and it never disappoints.

25/10/2025: Excellent place in central Naples where tradition and flavor reign supreme. The pizzas are excellent and the selection is varied. The staff is very friendly and always smiling. My ratings: Price 9, Menu 9, Location 8, Service 9

11/09/2025: This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Me and 3 friends went and had a absolute feast. We had starters, mains with sides that came as a deal package and desert. I personally had mozzarella croquettes, spaghetti carabonara with steak & rocket as a side with ice cream for deserted and every bit of food couldn't be better. The photos on here dont do this place justice, half the food we ordered wasn't evem on the menu and it was still extremely tasty. Also all the food is so well priced. It was €8 for their house white wine and €15 for the main with a side which i would have paid €30 for anywhere else easily. For ordering so much the very very friendly service staff gave us a bottle of lemon cello on the house. I recommend anyone ever seeing this, go in and get anything, you wont regret it. Will be coming back.

02/11/2025: Excellent food and a stunning view, a discovery above La Spezia that we'll definitely be back for. It doesn't offer a wide selection of dishes, but that's the key to good food: stuffed mussels and skewers are phenomenal. Highly recommended!

30/09/2025: BELISSIOMMO! BONISSIOMMO! Delicious! We ordered the fish soup—it's a culinary masterpiece! I also recommend ordering the white wine made especially for this tavern, La Perla. The owners, a husband and wife team of venerable ages, continue to cook and serve guests alongside a young staff. The hostess sang us a song in the local dialect and wished us many pleasant things. Highly recommended.

27/09/2025: Such warmth from this incredibly loving couple, who are certainly over 80 years old and still run La Perla impeccably! We were absolutely thrilled; the quality of the food was top-notch and simple, just as Italian food should be! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. We were absolutely satisfied with the food (we had mussels, sardines, and tuna of excellent quality) and, above all, the service. We travel a lot in Italy, but this was a very emotional experience.

24/09/2025: I ordered a half-meter pizza with sausage and fries for €24 instead of the €18 price of a Margherita. On the receipt, I paid €24 for the pizza with fries, plus two portions of fries for €7. Total for the pizza with fries was €31. There are definitely not two portions of fries on a half-meter of pizza, but only one, and in any case, the pizza with fries already has a €6 surcharge, which should justify both the sausage and the fries. And to top it off, when we got home, we were very thirsty and drank a lot of water all night, a sign of poor leavening. It was a terrible experience; we felt cheated; we won't eat there again on principle. Let's see if anyone here will deign to explain how something like this is possible.

03/10/2025: Every aspect of the evening was amazing. Our hosts took such good care of us and the food was extraordinary. We love Italian food. The from pasta Bolognese made perfectly to mussels in wine sauce and spaghetti vongole... Everything was great. But the crown was the special pasta with truffles made in a parmesan wheel. I've tried this dish at many restaurants, but now I understand why it is such a specialty. Dessert topped it off with tiramisu and a ricotta cake with chocolate sauce. 26/10/2025: The salad was a bit disappointing, it came straight out of the packaging and little attention had been paid to the dessert.

07/11/2025: We visited this restaurant and ordered lasagna, which unfortunately contained only tiny amounts of filling, it really felt like we were just eating sheets of pasta. We also ordered a beer and water to drink, following the waitress’s suggestion. Later, we discovered from the menu that the bottle was returnable, which was shown to us only after the fact because, as the waiter admitted, his English wasn’t very good. I also wanted to take the water bottle with me, but was refused, even though I had paid for it. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, but the atmosphere was quite unpleasant. Three girls were sitting nearby, speaking loudly about their private matters and the worse I understood everything,to the point that I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. On top of that, one of them was applying makeup at the table, which I found quite disgusting while trying to eat. There was no reaction from the owners. Overall, I don’t think the food was worth the price, and we definitely won’t be coming back.

08/10/2025: We stayed for two weeks full board. The food was excellent, with a choice of meat and fish, and numerous tempting desserts. The room was cozy and equipped with air conditioning, a TV, a safe, electric shutters, and a small terrace. Highly recommended, although the outdoor area is a bit noisy due to the traffic on Via Aurelia.

06/08/2025: I'm in love with Imperia. Like every year, almost like a ritual, I have to go to Lanterna Blu to relive the same experience that has been with me since I was a child. La Lanterna Blu isn't just a restaurant; it's the symbol of this beautiful province. It's a magical place characterized by an elegant, distinguished, clean, and comfortable setting. Max makes you feel right at home, from the moment you greet him to when you leave. But let's move on to the dishes. What can I say? They're in keeping with the location and could sum it all up in one word: "Quality." The catch of the day I ate was sublime; the ingredients were fresh and served with care and elegance, the attention to the customer and their needs was attentive, and the wine list was vast. All these qualities should be taken for granted, but unfortunately, these days, they're not easy to find in the restaurant world. In short, maybe it's just me who has a soft spot for this place, but it's definitely a place worth visiting if you're in the area. See you soon, Max.
