11/04/2026: The food was very good. The appetizers we ordered were especially delicious: cod, buffalo mozzarella with shrimp tartare, and vegetable flan.
The fish main course, sea bass with mashed potatoes, was also very, very good.
Of the two first courses, the gnocchi had a slightly strong sauce. The lemon tagliolini were good.
The desserts: mascarpone with strawberry jam looked better on the menu, but too many strawberries at the expense of the mascarpone; tiramisu was good but had too much cocoa on top. The staff was very kind, helpful, and polite. The place is very beautiful and well-kept.
Recommended!!
11/04/2026: A truly charming and welcoming place on a side street off the Trieste waterfront. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very good, high-quality food. The appetizer was delicious. The tiramisu was excellent.
Only the first course (I had gnocchi) was a bit heavy, the sauce was too heavy.

02/04/2026: Good food, but ridiculously limited. €15 for 5 tortelli, I'd say, is embarrassing. The person who ordered spaghetti ate 50 grams of spaghetti, to say the least. Ridiculous. Charge me what I owe, but serve me a decent plate. Never again.
02/04/2026: Been there with 7 friends. Very small portions, ridiculously small for very high prices; anyway good quality of fish, good service. At the end of everything, answering the question "everything ok?" I said no, due to the lack of quantity of food, the answer was "you could have asked for more.....". Usual place where you eat well and this is exploited to ask for very high prices!!!

The pizza is excellent, as is the tagliata.
The babà, unlike other restaurants/pizzerias that claim to serve it traditionally, here is superb!
We'll definitely be back.

15/03/2026: Pizza ordered through Just Eat. It arrived cold, as pictured. I'm reheating it in the oven. And to top it off, it had a burnt edge. I'm sorry, but you can't do something like this! 20 euros for dinner.

They have a good red-pezzata fillet, fried lasagna (special)...
But what really struck me was the Gorizia rose...after finishing everything, after dessert, I ate another plate!
14/12/2025: I had dinner with my puppy and his partner. Super kind. Welcoming. Very nice location. The food and drinks were divine. Everyone was friendly and the service was excellent and fast.

24/03/2026: We dropped by spontaneously and, despite not having a reservation, were given a lovely little table by the window. The atmosphere was enchanting, and we felt truly welcome. We felt like we were experiencing authentic Trieste cuisine. The service was excellent! The food felt like being invited to a friend's house. Very tasty, but not fancy. The pasta was perfectly cooked and homemade. The wine was superb. We had a wonderful evening and would definitely come back again :))

02/05/2026: After reading the reviews, I expected much more, but I wasn't really satisfied!!
I had the gnocchi with scallops and porcini mushrooms; they were overcooked, tasteless, and the portion was disappointing.
My wife had the 60-year-old pizza; the dough was good and easy to digest. Perhaps it lacked a little salt, but that's subjective. Despite having a "special" topping, she found it quite tasteless and, above all, too much oil.
Good service.

Perfect for a business lunch, whether you need to chat or it's a proper business breakfast.
The traditional dishes are excellent; I tried the gnocchetti with a delicious duck ragù sauce.
In short, a place that feels more like a high-end restaurant than a traditional trattoria.
