19/07/2025: Wow, best tomato sauce ever. Out of the crowd place with terrace. Had a pizza & salad and it was delicious, the homemade tomato sauce was so good I would eat it with a spoon. 😂. Nice staff and great lunch!

02/09/2025: ..AWAY FROM THE CROWDS! Absolutely lovely restaurant in a quiet setting away from the center crowds, heat and noise. We were eager for light lunch and they had just what we wanted…a delicious seafood salad…and a limoncello spritz! We hope to get back for dinner

12/07/2025: A good restaurant in the quiet Piazza Salvatore di Giacomo, in the Posillipo neighborhood. The quality of the ingredients is good (but be aware that some products are frozen), and the preparation of the dishes is equally excellent. In short, if you're looking for a good-quality restaurant where you can eat as if you were at home and without too many expectations, Al Poeta is the right choice.

07/09/2025: This restaurant offers pasta dishes as well as pizza. Average wait times. We had a good experience overall; we ate inside and the place is elegant. We ordered two carbonaras, one paccheri with meat sauce, and one pasta and potatoes. The carbonara was spectacular, with a truly delicious carbonara cream and truly crispy bacon. The paccheri with meat sauce were delicious, with a unique and enviable flavor, and good-quality meat. Finally, the pasta and potatoes: despite its banality, it was, in my opinion, the best of the rest. Friendly staff, and the welcome could be improved. Overall a positive experience.

As soon as I approached that kind of rusty gangway, they rejected me and screeched like chickens, telling me that it was private and I couldn't get close.... Be more kind because one day it could happen to you too....

07/07/2025: Este restaurante está situado en una hermosa ubicación, justo sobre el mar. Es realmente impresionante. Este es un restaurante familiar. Nos atendió el nieto del dueño, fue muy amable y nos explicó todo lo que teníamos dudas y no fue para nada intrusivo. La comida estaba deliciosa. Para empezar comimos mejillones, luego mi hijo y mi marido pidieron linguini con almejas, yo pidieron pasta con calabacines y mejillones y mi hija pidió calamares fritos. Luego compartimos un poco de pescado para terminar. Todos estaban realmente sabrosos, frescos y deliciosos. Lo recomiendo altamente.

04/07/2025: Ristorante posizionato al passaggio tra Amalfi e Atrani, con una vista privilegiata sul mare e le barche, soprattutto la sera. Possibilità di mangiare all'aperto, in atmosfera piacevole e rilassata. Personale molto gentile e molto disponibile, sempre sorridente. Cibi ben preparati e gustosi, ma i prezzi, considerando tutto, sono forse un pò alti. Tuttavia consigliato, specie per le serate estive!

10/09/2025: Had a fantastic meal here! The food was delicious, the view over sunset was absolutely stunning, and the service went above and beyond. I accidentally spilled pasta sauce on my white top, and the waiter immediately brought out a stain remover spray to help, such thoughtful hospitality! Highly recommend for both the food and the experience.

16/08/2025: We went here for lunch on August 15th based on the good reviews, but unfortunately we had a bad experience due to the terrible service and unprofessionalism of the staff.

25/08/2025: Attracted by the reviews, we decided to try this restaurant, convenient for its location and opening hours (service begins at 7:30 PM). Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations: the scampi risotto only had the heads, and the only thing that was spot on was the cooking. The rest was a tomato and cheese soup (with scampi heads) for the modest sum of €20 per dish, and the minimum order is two dishes. We moved on to the fried food, which wasn't particularly good, but we noticed that some tables had richer dishes than others (for example, with anchovies, shrimp, etc.), so when paying, we asked for an explanation. Moreover, the same person who served the dining room was at the cash register. We were told (without any indication on the menu or by the waiter) that the fried food is based on what you order... but it would have been nice to consider the options, in my opinion... anyway, we spent almost €80 and didn't make a fuss. Having abandoned the idea of ​​​​first courses, on our last evening we ordered takeout pizzas: burned on the bottom and edges, without any seasoning... in short, it's not the best place we've been, but obviously that's my personal experience. I think there are better places in this area.

24/08/2025: A very popular place in the area, the place is nice but a bit dated. We ordered two spaghetti with clams, which remained unremarkable. They were without the seafood-inspired sauce, and the clams were a bit sparse. My daughter had the gluten-free pizza, while I had the mixed grilled fish... 30 euros for that dish seems really excessive. The service was courteous and attentive... We went in with high expectations based on how our friends had described it, but we left feeling a bit disappointed.

15/08/2025: My boyfriend and I called the property to ask if we could stay a room for a few hours since we're not from the area and wanted to freshen up and rest before returning to the beach in the afternoon. I assume the owner who answered the call was not only very rude but also vulgar, saying that my boyfriend needed to have sex with his mother because his property isn't a brothel. Then he added other words that I honestly didn't even understand and tried to translate into Italian. Zero professionalism.

24/04/2025: Abbiamo scelto il ristorante per la nostra prima cera qui in costiera. La cordialità del personale di sala ci fa da subito affascinati. Abbiamo potuto assaporare pesce di qualità e ottimi abbinamenti. Anche i dolci locali sono stati impeccabili e ricchi di gusto e note aromatiche delicate. Prezzi decisamente equilibrati per l’ottima qualità. Ci siamo trovati talmente bene che abbiamo deciso di ritornare più volte. Rinnovo qui i complimenti per la cucina e per la passione che mettete nei piatti e nel servizio.

29/07/2025: Terrible experience! It's expensive for ridiculous food! We order spaghetti sea urchin and spaghetti several sea food. We got one spoon, and the taste was awful! The presentation was okay, but both pasta came with sand. We couldn't continue to have it. Servers did not even ask why we sent back the whole dish. Anyway, I wasted my bday over there and found another one! Our experience was not good, but if you gonna eat it there, good luck!

24/08/2025: We stayed with six people, divided between two rooms and a suite. The hotel is simply wonderful: the view is like something out of a postcard, a truly memorable experience. The restaurant service deserves a 10/10: we're used to high standards, but we can say without hesitation that this was the best hotel restaurant we've ever stayed in. Excellent food, impeccable service, and attention to detail at all times. The rooms are bright, welcoming, and meticulously maintained; the extremely comfortable bed made our sleep pleasant and rejuvenating. The bathrooms are clean, tidy, and meticulously finished, confirming the impeccable management. Special praise goes to the staff, exceptional in every way: always available, kind, and smiling, they made our stay even more enjoyable. Making this experience even more unique is the family management: the owners run the hotel with passion, dedication, and a care that is evident in every detail, conveying a rare and precious authenticity. Congratulations on your excellent work: hospitality that deserves to be recognized as a true benchmark. 13/08/2025: Tried it for the first time in 2021 and returned this year, where, unfortunately, the quality has dropped. While in 2021 the menu featured sophisticated pairings and were accompanied by precise explanations from the staff, today the dishes are much simpler and presented to the customer (after a somewhat lengthy wait) without a word, not even about which fish was served as the catch of the day. What hasn't changed, however, are the prices, which now seem excessive, especially for the appetizers, where a caprese salad with anchovies (undoubtedly excellent quality) is not far off the price of the first courses, for a dish consisting mainly of a chopped tomato. After excellent first courses, the second courses were disappointing. I wouldn't recommend the catch of the day given the absolutely meager portions, and I'd also point out the tempura. Expecting an Asian twist, I received a classic mixed-fish fry. My rating would be two stars, but an extra star is deserved by the friendly, welcoming, and very honest waitstaff, such as when it comes to pricing a glass of wine versus a bottle. The desserts, too, include a truly exquisite ricotta.
