The day, spent in the company of my wife and a couple of friends, was made even more special by the enchanting scenery, creating a bright and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for slowly savoring every moment. The service is distinguished by a natural kindness and impeccable professionalism: attentive, meticulous, and elegant, yet never intrusive. Everything is enhanced by a pleasant touch of humor and charm, measured and intelligent, which contributes to a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is the true protagonist: delicate and balanced dishes, crafted around noble, top-quality ingredients. Each course is enhanced by excellent, refined, and harmonious plating, pleasing the eye even before the palate. Also worthy of special mention is the extensive and carefully curated wine cellar, packed with prestigious labels and interesting discoveries, designed to expertly and sensitively complement the dishes, offering pairings worthy of the gastronomic offerings. Overall, a wonderful culinary experience, where the view, service, cuisine, and wine cellar interact in perfect harmony. A lunch that leaves a lasting impression and one I can only recommend to anyone seeking quality, elegance, and a true passion for hospitality.

30/09/2025: I'm sharing my very positive experience! We were four of us at this restaurant on July 11, 2025. The welcome was typically touristy, but the restaurant actually offered impeccable service, good food, and excellent value. It's a shame about the portions, which were really small.

19/10/2025: “Incipit” is almost a hidden gem, tucked away from the busy High Street and tourist-heavy areas. This spot comes highly recommended by locals — and for good reason. It has a gorgeous outdoor terrace with views over the piazza, but the real wow factor comes when you choose to dine indoors… in the cave! Yes, a beautifully lit, cosy cave with an incredible atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel special. The service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The menu is fantastic, offering a perfect mix of local favourites and creative twists. We went all out and enjoyed the full experience: antipasto, primo, and secondo. The tuna tartare was outstanding, bursting with freshness and flavour. I had the Fileja al ’Nduja ragu, which was absolutely mind-blowing — and high on my Calabria culinary wish list. My partner chose the hazelnut risotto, which was equally exceptional. For mains, I had the pistachio-crusted seabass while my partner had the cod — both dishes beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. 27/10/2025: The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we felt comfortable. The apartment was comfortable with a kitchenette and outdoor space. There was ample parking, a good restaurant, and everything you need to relax in a pleasant atmosphere. There was also a swimming pool and beautifully landscaped grounds.

16/01/2026: An elegant, refined restaurant, with excellent food, impeccably presented and served. The waiters were kind and courteous, and the atmosphere was comfortable and elegant. I appreciated the towels in the bathrooms (in addition to paper towels) and the sanitary pads in the women's restrooms.

02/11/2025: Beautiful and charming location in the heart of Tropea. But I really can't say enough about the deliciousness of the food I tasted. I didn't go for typical products, but for classic seafood and meat dishes. I don't recommend the seafood appetizers; they're really nothing special. The ravioli with shrimp and scallops were good. Otherwise, everything was normal, with excessive prices. The wait for the food was exaggerated, despite the good service and numerous staff. Worth a look.

30/10/2025: Found on a recommendation. The charming atmosphere begins right at the entrance, where you stand on a glass platform overlooking the old wine cellar. The tables are well spaced. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and conversation. Luckily, we reserved a table. Very attentive service. Delicious bread served in a paper bag. The €2 cover charge is reasonable. Good selection of typical Italian dishes. We enjoyed the food, and the meat was exceptionally tender.

03/01/2026: Fantastic seafood restaurant in the heart of Pizzo. We started with a fragrant peppered mussel stew, perfectly flavorful. The shrimp tartare was incredibly fresh, delicate, and meticulously prepared. The spaghetti with clams was simply spectacular: creamy, balanced, and made with a lot of bread. And then the fried fish... incredible: dry, light, crispy, with top-quality fish. An experience that smells of the sea and passion. Definitely worth returning. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

07/10/2025: I went with my wife and son in September for dinner in the ancient cave. The seafood appetizer smelled bad and tasted nothing like seafood. The octopus was transparent and smelled bad—you couldn't tell it was octopus carpaccio; it was literally transparent, like tissue paper. The rest was anything but anything that reminded you of the sea. Everything was frozen and poorly treated. Parmigiana was the sore point!! It wasn't parmigiana, but a mixture of boiled eggs drowned in tomato sauce. I don't think they even know what eggplant parmigiana is; there were only boiled eggs. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me; it was a TERRIBLE experience that's hard to undo. They have no idea what Italian or Calabrian cuisine is. What a shame! These people were improvised and had never worked in a kitchen!
