25/11/2025: Out for work, the perfect dinner to revitalize the day. Unexpected portions of exquisite roast caciocavallo cheese, roasted to perfection, without drying it out, melting the inside while still leaving the outside tender. The beef fillet in Tintilla wine was a superb experience: perfectly cooked rare, with a strong wine reduction for at least 300-400 grams of excellent quality meat. A vast and comprehensive menu for every craving. Truly satisfied, highly recommended.

31/12/2025: A pleasant discovery! We're tourists, and we decided to try this place because of its name. Upon entering, we were overwhelmed by Tonino and Flavia's warmth and friendliness, and we immediately felt like part of the family, something they care deeply about. The place is aesthetically unique, not to mention the quality of the products and cooking methods, and the dishes were served with care. The passion they put into it really shines through. I recommend trying everything, absolutely everything! Our experience ended with a warm hug. It's a shame about the distance that separates us, but we'd love to return. The place is managed with great care and flair.
The rooms are furnished with a unique and welcoming taste.
The food is delicious and the ingredients are high-quality.
The service is attentive and cheerful.
The coffee is served just like a grandmother would, with a coffee pot and old-fashioned cups with a sugar cube.
If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth a visit.

13/10/2025: A very well-kept restaurant with exceptional customer service. Excellent table service with detailed explanations of the dishes and the wine selection. Distinctive, as its name suggests, offers a selection of unusual and never banal dishes using local ingredients. An experience to remember and highly recommended! Lovers of platters should abstain! I'm intentionally adding very few photos so as not to spoil any pleasant surprises! Well done!
10/10/2025: I booked a table here for my partner's birthday, and the staff was truly amazing, even having a little surprise for the occasion. I highly recommend the Istinto tasting menu. Thank you so much again for a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back!

A mountain property surrounded by greenery just a few kilometers from Prato Gentile, where peace and tranquility reign supreme. A warm wooden cabin with a large fireplace made for a Sunday lunch to remember. The kindness with which we were welcomed made us feel at home; the cuisine offered is simple and homely, with authentic flavors and high quality. A delightful discovery that I highly recommend.

I also recommend the expertly breaded and fried anchovies.

05/04/2026: I'd heard about it and booked for Easter. I was informed that there would be a fixed menu, featuring fish.
A warm welcome from the very friendly Peppe, who makes you feel at ease and even recommends wines from a well-stocked and high-quality cellar. Excellent menu, quality food prepared with skill and expertise.
We will definitely return to try the à la carte menu.
08/03/2026: Truly a surprising place! You'd probably imagine finding such cuisine and high-quality seafood more along the coast. Yet, in the heart of Molise's hinterland, Mr. Peppe, with his humility and immense culinary artistry, delights us with unique and authentic dishes.
Taste, quality, flavors, presentation, and a very welcoming location make this place a must-see in the heart of Isernia.
10 out of 10!

01/04/2026: Fast service even on a Saturday. Very friendly and helpful. The pizza was good with good toppings, but due to the thin dough, the rising bubbles around the edges were burnt. It's a shame, because it wasn't possible to eat such an edge. The prices are good, average: 2 pizzas, 1 beer, 1 water, 1 potato chip, 1 truffle ice cream, and 2 covers, 34 euros.
21/01/2026: I went to La Vecchia Taverna in Macchia di Isernia and I have to say it was a fantastic experience! The place is welcoming and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff is incredibly kind, always helpful and smiling, making you feel immediately at ease. The pizza is truly delicious, with fresh and flavorful ingredients, but the real highlight is the desserts: absolutely worth trying, each one better than the last!
Another great advantage is the large parking lot, which is very convenient if you're driving. Overall, everything was perfect: food, service, and convenience. I'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a wonderful evening eating excellent pizza without any worries.
