19/05/2026: We had lunch on Monday the 18th and there were 3 of us. The food was good but it was difficult to fully appreciate it due to the terrible service. The wait times were extremely long: we were the first customers to come in but they forgot about us. Two dishes arrived and the third much later and only after being asked for. Water was ordered but it arrived only after a long wait and a further request. The feeling of total disorganization. Even getting 3 coffees was difficult and since they never arrived we had to ask for them. When it came time to pay, others in the queue at the cash register complained and told us that they were expecting fewer people and there were only a few of them! It would have been more correct not to accept any more customers beyond the number for which adequate service could be offered.
18/05/2026: A legendary restaurant for tortellini. All the other dishes are also excellent: siamo fritti, branzino alla griglia, mille folie di Manzo, and the semifreddo. The service was outstanding and attentive.

03/05/2026: A lovely place with a beautiful outdoor area. Given the name, I would have expected a more "horsey" feel, especially in the decor. The quality of the ingredients is good, but for a trattoria, the portions are a bit small, especially the cold cuts. The friendliness and attentive service are paramount. We'll be back.
01/05/2026: There were 15 of us, and we had a starter of cured meats with giardiniera, a trio of tortellini, and dessert. Everything was delicious. Excellent service and a beautiful veranda. We had a great time. Recommended.

15/06/2026: A very good restaurant with fantastic ravioli specialties. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. The wine selection is excellent and perfectly complements the food. Beautiful location and pleasant atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing evening. Highly recommended.
14/06/2026: Fantastic restaurant in a superb location. It's a second-generation family-run establishment with very friendly owners. The food was excellent; we had the four-course menu with local pasta and wine. The ambiance is unbeatable, and the riverside location is magnificent. Highly recommended!

08/06/2026: Amazing tortellini, I highly recommend them. The location is really nice, especially if you're eating outside.
The meat is very good, the chicken delicious; you can tell it's not farm-raised.
Unfortunately, the dessert wasn't very popular, as it was too creamy for a mille-feuille. Another negative was the woman at a nearby table who was smoking.
07/06/2026: A spectacular place with a view of the hills.
The food was excellent and the price was fair.
The staff were very kind and friendly.

The service could be improved, as it's run by young, but unprofessional, women.
Definitely recommended.
15/05/2026: Everyone was kind, explaining the dishes to us, and for three of us with gluten intolerance, they brought us bread and breadsticks on the side, as well as gluten-free pasta for those who wanted it.
The portions were generous, which is not a given.
Fresh, quality ingredients.
Fair prices for the quality of the dishes.
Recommended dishes: tartare, gnocchi, and tortelli.
Recommended.

02/06/2026: Dinner with friends with a menu pre-arranged by the organizer. The appetizer was unique, featuring polenta, soppressa, and tomino cheese. Tortellini di Valeggio, always a sure thing, and an excellent veal fillet. Quality ingredients, fantastic atmosphere... Borghetto.
The service could perhaps be improved a little, but the food makes up for it.
Highly recommended.

16/06/2026: Unfriendly, indifferent staff. The food was far from the quality one would expect at that price. Dishes weren't cleared for 15 minutes, and after another 30 minutes, no one even asked about dessert. There are much better restaurants nearby.
14/06/2026: We made a reservation, specifically requesting a riverside table, which was approved and confirmed over the phone. We arrived and were made to wait at least a good five minutes (despite there being no people) before being taken to a table that didn't match our reservation. After learning that we couldn't change tables, we sat down and shrugged. During our stay, we repeatedly saw the staff being scolded by what appeared to be a dining room manager, and every time we asked anyone for any information or to order, we were always told "I'll ask my colleague," with a ten-minute wait for each request (most of which, by the way, we didn't even get a response).
For dinner, we strongly advise against the roast beef (among the appetizers) as it was completely tasteless, and the fried octopus among the main courses, which was saltier than the sea.
We only had one problem with the wines when they brought us a different wine than the one we requested.
At the end of the meal, at the cashier's desk, they wouldn't even let us split the bill as requested.
Overall, a disappointing and bizarre experience considering the location's potential.
Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

13/03/2025: A pochi km da casa, ma incredibilmente provato da poco seppur ne avessi sentito parlare molto bene. E devo confermare tutto ciò che di positivo si dice di questi ragazzi… lavorano con passione e dedizione e offrono un interessante menu’ di pesce con eccellenti materie prime. La qualità si vede e si sente tutta, i prezzi sono corretti e per me che sono celiaca fa la differenza anche l’attenzione che riservano alle proposte senza glutine (e all’assenza di contaminazione).
E’ diventato il mio posto preferito a Valeggio! Consigliatissimo.

Pizzeria con cucina

19/09/2023: Torniamo spesso da Guido perché per noi la pizza è la migliore in assoluto! La pasta è ottima e il condimento sempre di qualità.
La cordialità dei titolari e del loro personale completa il quadro, è sempre bello quando si esce a cena trovare un sorriso e fare qualche parola amichevole. Grandi!
