09/05/2025: Like another reviewer mentioned the vibe was off from the start. Instead of bread we received prepackaged crunchy bread sticks. We should have left then. We ordered bruschetta and 2 pizzas. One of the pizzas was so spicy you couldn't even taste the gorgonzola. If you've tasted gorgonzola you know how hard that is. The second pizza just tasted off. I'm pretty sure it was the mushrooms. Every other pizza we had in Italy had fresh mushrooms on the pizza. These were slimy like they were canned or jarred. The bruschetta was missed. Not a big deal. I ordered house sparkling wine. It also didn't come out. In the middle of the meal the waitress brought a big bottle of water. We wanted to check the bill to make sure it was correct. The waitress went through it with us. No apology for the missed drink or bruschetta until later. Her first priority was to get the large bottle of water added into the bill as we were only charged for a small one. She had an exchange in Italian with the waiter who took our order since she didn't return after we said we wanted to wait a bit to order. He seemed pleasant so that was a plus. After that she said she would leave the charge of the small bottle of water for the inconvenience of not receiving our order. We're not even really that picky. It just makes me suspicious of other reviews. If you are anywhere else at local, homegrown Italian places you'd know how unauthentic this was. We had better pizza for €8. Piece of advice. if no one around you is speaking Italian; run.

24/04/2025: Direi che è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Servizio professionale e cortese, ma le portate hanno fatto centro! Moglie e figlia altrettanto soddisfatte. Arrosto e patate e bigoli per il sottoscritto, spaghetti alla verdi per mia moglie. Mia figlia le erbette e la cartelletta. Corollario di pane ed altro come entrata e qualche pizzico di dolci per addolcire il caffè e l'orzo. Poco più di un ora da casa. Da ripetere assolutamente. PS Montagnana merita comunque di essere vista!

14/04/2025: Best Restaurant in Montagnana. Best, impeccable, 5 STARS service. Best food ever, highly recommended. We had a truffle asparagus risotto..just divine. Mare monti delicious starter and a lot of complementary types of freshly baked home made bread and focaccia samples, plus LOCAL EXTRA sample of desserts. We felt like we had. MICHELIN STAR Experience. We traveled over one hour just to get there because we heard of the excellent reviews..we totally confirm them. Just go there and let yourself be pampered to their delicious food, excellent choice of wine and extra sample. Then..have a Stroll in Montagnana, this UNESCO Medieval walled City..it is definitely worth it. 5 stars

30/04/2025: A pearl found by chance. We were returning from the Euganean Hills on April 25th and found this restaurant by searching on Google. We stopped in this pearl managed by a girl who is very knowledgeable about wines and at the entrance we found her mother having lunch and she told us that the jarfiniera is made by her (she even explained the whole process with the blast chiller etc.). However, we ate divinely: Vicenza-style cod, a platter of the right amount for two people with truly excellent cheeses and cured meats and obviously the giardiniera, a plate of bigoli with duck ragù. To conclude, a particular biscuit made by them whose name I don't remember, really good with a good coffee. Absolutely justified value for money, but above all an environment with a touch of personality certainly given by the creativity of the girl who manages it. We add that we were with our dog, therefore kind also in this sense and we say goodbye to the three cats who act as reception at the entrance :-) Congratulations indeed, these are the places you always want to find when you go around. 30/04/2025: I find it anomalous to say the least in a place that calls itself a "tavern", but which doesn't have bulk wine available. In an area, among other things, (the Euganean hills), where there is a winery that produces wine practically every km. And even more anomalous is the fact that it doesn't even have a wine list. And be careful when asking! The owner might resent you and reply (as happened to me) "I'm the wine list!". If you then order a first course and ask if they can bring you some parmesan, the answer will be that it is already there. And then you have to insist, so in the end they bring it to you. Snorting, but they bring it to you. And as if that wasn't enough, you eat like in a restaurant, with a placemat and paper napkin, but you pay like in a restaurant. And what's more, you are treated badly and with disdain. Honestly, I'm surprised it's still open.

13/04/2025: A surprise in a commercial and not very central area. The quality of the raw materials and the cuisine are high and with an interesting price ratio.

03/06/2025: Having the possibility to visually choose the meat and have it cooked is simply wonderful, if we then add the friendliness as well as the mastery of the cook... well what can I say, congratulations!!! Small but nice place, well-kept and clean (including bathrooms), correct quality-price ratio. I recommend it to everyone

31/05/2025: Spectacular meat in a place that if you look for it you will never find it. A beautiful and welcoming environment. Nice the possibility of choosing between different cuts of meat and weighed in front of the customer. Well done.

18/05/2025: Good place for family, has big space, but parking not available and have to search in area.

13/05/2025: I had dinner a few days ago with my family. There were five of us, but we were assigned a small table, and the wait to take our orders was a bit long. That said, the pizza was really good: well-made dough and quality ingredients. The staff was also kind and friendly. Overall, a very positive experience. I would happily go back.

24/04/2025: Booked for some time, I called and called back to make sure there was no lactose (the slightest traces make me sick) on my mother's menu. They assured me there wouldn't be any and instead it was terrible. Unreliable. If she had been allergic enough to risk my life I would have died. These things cannot be taken lightly in the restaurant business.

23/05/2025: A visit to the very beautiful town of Montagnana with its medieval walls. We had lunch in this restaurant, very nice and welcoming, we ate really well and the prices were reasonable, we will be back.

10/05/2025: ho ordinato una pizza margherita e mi è arrivata dopo 1 ora che è la piu semplice del mondo! sono venuta qui con delle mie amiche e nel pacchetto nn ci hanno lasciato giocare a pallavolo in un PARCO GIOCHI! mi sembra assurdo nn disturbiamo.siamo li in uno spazio lontano dalle macchine e dal ristorante ! assurdo !!! nn ci verrò mai più 😩 😡

01/05/2025: First time in this place, large and well-kept parking, surrounded by greenery, welcoming & clean interior, large, thin pizza with the right ingredients... well cooked as requested... and easily digestible... Fair prices, I will definitely return.. Compliments

16/06/2025: Stay away from this place... Family dinner with 2 children aged 7 and 9... Ordered 2 pizzas (the dough was practically rubber and tasted like nothing) 1 club sandwich (acceptable) and 1 chicken nugget (inedible, old chicken tasted like frozen, we asked for a change and the owner told us that they were all like that and that therefore she would bring us a cutlet. In addition to having made us pay for it, it was the same as the nuggets...). Trust me if you want to eat well go elsewhere, this place is in full decline.
