09/10/2024: Very good restaurant delicious pizza!!

02/10/2024: The restaurant made a good impression from the outside, but this was deceptive as it was the first and last time we ate here. The service was friendly and quick, we were seated straight away and were able to order. Only two Hugos as an aperitif but then I found a protein side dish waiting for me in my drink that was definitely not ordered. I didn't think anything of it and asked the waitress about the toilet, she directed me to a garden shed at the back of the garden. So I went back to get my jacket because it was raining and I didn't want to get soaked. As was common in Italy in the past, I found that the women only had a squat toilet, there was no handle to hold themselves up... yeah, the toilets weren't old, so why didn't they install "normal" ones, I ask myself? Accordingly, clean was a rather foreign word, although I have experienced worse. When we returned, the main course was on the table. Spaghetti Carbonara for my partner and salmon with salad and boiled potatoes for me. The noodles were okay but not the best. The salmon, on the other hand, was old, charred, smelled strongly of old fish and was therefore inedible. There were several protein additions in the salad that had no place there and the potatoes were oily and completely overcooked. All in all, the food was very disappointing, and the beautiful ambience didn't help. Recommendation, not to eat there or if you only order pasta but no fish or seafood.

21/08/2024: Wine was nice and decor was lovely. We didn’t have a reservation but the restaurant was pretty dead so decided to eat. They told us all outside tables had reservations, however for the 2 hours we were there, nobody was seated there? The food was dreadful. We order calamari, and mixed seafood dish, chips and potato croquettes EVERYTHING was battered and deep fried. It also came out within less than 10 minutes. Which assured me it was nowhere near fresh. The staff themselves seemed annoyed for us to be there and were smirking and laughing at us the entire time although not sure why ?? Very bad experience. And we were talking about how if we sat outside and the food was nice it would have been perfect. A shame.

26/06/2024: Non esiste più … al Suo posto il ristorante inchiostro dove però giocano sull’ambiguità e non dicono che è cambiata gestione se non lo chiedte esplicitamente. Era deserto, c’è ne siamo andati

04/01/2025: The best service, the lady who serves customers is the god of the atmosphere here 😉 I have never eaten such good pizza and lasagna. The lady keeps the women intoxicated and the guys get smaller and weaker Aperol, which is a plus for us 😅 nice music and the lady. The staff sings very beautifully! 6/5! ❤️ I recommend! The best restaurant in Venice!

04/01/2025: The first thing that struck us was the heavy onion smell as soon as you enter. We took the "tourist" menus, the price was consistent with what we ate, nothing exceptional but acceptable. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired, starting from the glasses and ending with the dishes. Too long of a wait considering the place was practically empty. Bathrooms no comment and the soap diluted abundantly with water.

28/12/2024: Bravi, cucina tipica vicentina ma con un tocco di raffonatezza che non guasta. Cibo di ottima qualità, servizio giovane e sempre attento. Ambiente curato e pulito, BRAVI

14/12/2024: Tuvimos una maravillosa cena de noche en este encantador restaurante, el servicio era impecable, y cuando una amiga tenía una gota de salsa en su camisa, el personal fue a trabajar para sacarlo, muchas risas pero increíble más allá de la llamada de atención del deber.

31/10/2024: We stopped at this restaurant because it was one of the few open. We all got pizza and were disgusted as the mozzarella was sour and this gave a horrible taste to the pizza. Total crap! The staff were kind but too inattentive, always on their cell phones. They brought us dessert without bringing cutlery. Absurd prices, a coke €3.5/4. Never again! Check the deadlines!!!!

29/10/2024: I appreciated the service and courtesy of the staff; however, the food did not satisfy me. I found the fried fish heavy and difficult to digest.

09/11/2024: we went to eat attracted by the nice menu with many tasty dishes and the 50% discount from the fork. As soon as we sat at the table we discovered from the waiter that more than half of the dishes were not there because they would be closing in a few days. nothing bad but then you have to update the menu on the site and then it's up to us to decide whether to come and eat or not. moreover, the waiter was incapable because he misunderstood the reservation, bringing wrong or incomplete dishes given that several ingredients were missing. then the price: it is useless to double the prices and then give a 50% discount, you fool me once and that's it!! to avoid

07/10/2024: Venison Ragu was EXCELLENT. That's what I'd get again. Milano style chicken breast was deep fried and heavy. Beef cheeks was very tender; personally, I liked it more after I added a bit of the salt. Spaghetti with clams was decent.

29/09/2024: We arrived late, but when we contacted them, they welcomed us warmly with a smile. The dishes were seafood grill, vòngole, and seafood pasta, all of which were really delicious, and I was impressed by the very kind service, even wearing an apron to keep my clothes clean. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and filled my stomach and soul, making it a wonderful memory of my trip. thank you very much. If you are going to Cortina d'Ampesso, this is a store you should definitely visit. I highly recommend it!

11/12/2024: "A True Taste of Venice" ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taverna da Baffo was a delightful find! Tucked away on a charming canal, this traditional tavern transported us back in time with its rustic decor and authentic Venetian atmosphere. We were lucky enough to snag a table outside on the terrace, which offered stunning views of the canal. The food was absolutely delicious! We started with the Insalata di piovra (octopus salad) which was fresh and flavorful. For our main courses, we couldn't resist trying the Spaghetti al nero di seppia (squid ink spaghetti) and the Frittura di calamari (fried calamari). Both dishes were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were clearly of the highest quality. The service was warm and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Our waiter was happy to offer recommendations and even gave us a brief history of the tavern. If you're looking for an authentic Venetian dining experience with delicious food and a charming atmosphere, Taverna da Baffo is a must-visit!
