19/01/2026: My wife and I went with a reservation yesterday, Sunday, January 18, 2026, to eat grilled meat. We ordered at 1:05 PM and arrived at 2:30 PM. When we asked several questions about how long we still had to wait, no response was given. When we left, no apology or anything else was said. The only thing we heard was "PAPER?"—no greeting or anything. All the other diners, with small children, were also complaining about the wait.

11/10/2025: I tried this restaurant a few weeks ago and returned recently. In both cases, we waited over an hour after ordering. The place was very hot, making the atmosphere almost uncomfortable. The food was delicious.

24/02/2026: Excellent staff... excellent food for a work lunch... couldn't ask for more. A regular customer...

03/02/2026: Excellent seafood dinner. The Chef's risotto was delicious 🤩 and the prices were great. We paid for two people, including two glasses of wine, water, one shared appetizer, two seafood entrees, and one dessert. 25 each. Excellent for these times! I want to go back to try the tuna steak (the girl at the table next to us said it was very good).

09/03/2026: After years of frequenting this place, I find myself writing one of the worst reviews I've ever written. We went to Jerry's yesterday with my family (who had never been there) and immediately found ourselves surrounded by a clientele of questionable taste. Aside from that, we also ate decently, but the prices skyrocketed and the portions became meager (€120 for a baked turbot!), and the wine was even worse (€60 for an Altemesi, which sells for €15 in supermarkets). We then found ourselves immersed in a karaoke scene we hadn't been warned about, and for a classy place, the way it advertises itself had absolutely nothing to do with it. We left as soon as we finished our main course, and when we asked the owner about the situation, he apologized and, as a gesture of apology, wanted to offer us a bottle of wine (a charity we obviously didn't accept). After more than 10 years of frequenting this place (which has always been in our hearts), I don't think we'll be returning. I advise Mauro (the owner) to change his attitude if he doesn't want to ruin everything he's built over the years.

05/04/2026: Chain restaurant or pizzeria? When a pizzeria becomes a chain restaurant, something always gets lost in the shuffle. In this case, it's simply the service and the personal touch that you miss in Italy. Here, everything is geared towards throughput and revenue. The service was fast, young, and neither trained nor customer-oriented. There's a huge selection of pizzas. We ordered pizza bread as an appetizer, but it was very bland and tasteless—just plain pizza dough. The spicy pasta had a flavor that came purely from the tomato sauce; you had to imagine the chili or other flavors. If you're looking for a stylish evening with good food and ambiance, this isn't the place. If quantity and speed are your priorities, then it's certainly the right spot. We didn't enjoy it and wouldn't recommend it or come back again.

21/04/2026: I was here with my family for dinner. The waiter – a young Italian – was very friendly. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. We were completely satisfied 👍 On the bus ride home, the young man even recognized us and greeted us warmly 👋

20/04/2026: After a trip around the city, my husband and I wanted to have an aperitif/coffee in the evening before leaving. When we placed our order, the waiter seemed confused and claimed he had specifically asked if we wanted dinner and that this was a restaurant. We were quite taken aback – he cleared everything away, and to be honest, we didn't know if we were getting anything until our drinks arrived. Incidentally, the sign above the windows says Café Liston 12, not Restaurant Liston 12 ;-) Furthermore, there were plenty of seats available for other guests, so we understood his comment even less.

23/02/2026: Lunch with friends. We booked last-minute, and they kindly found us a place even though the place was packed. It's an old-fashioned inn, but the food is delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. The chef, who I believe was also the owner, took our orders. We ordered various dishes, including appetizers, first courses, and second courses, and everything was delicious. The staff was friendly, and I'd say the value for money was perfect! We'll definitely be back.

07/04/2026: A lovely, lovely place to eat. Great Lake views even if not by the window (book at least 3 days in advance for a window seat - thank me later). The food is full of flavour, and the ribs were absolutely delicious – a real highlight of the meal. I had my heart set on lasagna, which unfortunately wasn’t available, but the alternative we chose (not the seafood pasta, but the closest option to it) was still very tasty and satisfying. One of the standout touches is their “fortress bread” concept, inspired by what military soldiers ate in the 1800s, complete with a little bit of history alongside it. That combination of food and storytelling really hits the sweet spot when you’re on holiday. If there’s one improvement to suggest, it would be to offer butter alongside olive oil. It may not be traditionally Italian, but many international visitors – particularly from the UK and the US – would appreciate having the choice. Overall, a memorable dining experience in a beautiful setting.

12/09/2025: I went for dinner with my wife and grandchildren. The outdoor seating was cool, under the trees, and the patio was lined with umbrellas. For the children, there's a small playground nearby where they can have fun, but be supervised. We chose the fried calamari, a large fried dish, and the kids' menu with breaded cutlet. Generous portions, crispy fried food, and quick, friendly service. Overall, we had a great time, and the price was in line with the cost of a mostly seafood dinner. We'll be back!
