24/06/2026: Perhaps one of the last places left in Orvieto where you can find traditional cuisine. Excellent food and equally good wines. So, ask the owner for advice and you won't go wrong.

19/08/2026: We dined at this trattoria on the recommendation of a woman from Orvieto. There were three of us, and we ordered an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses and a plate of bruschetta with cherry tomatoes. In my opinion, the cured meats were supermarket-quality, and the cheeses were generally good, but the nettle ravioli weren't homemade, partly because they were all identical in shape and filling. I can't comment on the desserts because we didn't order them. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it, especially since we've eaten elsewhere and generally had a great experience. It's a shame because the place is nice, but my opinion is very objective.

20/08/2026: In our search for a place to dine without having to cry over your wallet, we found an almost magical compromise in this restaurant, with a truly excellent quality-price ratio, very gracious and truly attentive service. I appreciated the attention to detail and the care in the dining room, the speed and elegance of the service, and the dishes too. The duck ragù was spectacular, it's hard to find better in the area. Compliments to the staff in the dining room and the kitchen. If we were to pass by here again, we would definitely return with my partner. ❤️

30/06/2026: I went with my son on a casual trip to Orvieto. After a peculiar exchange while waiting for our table, we laughed and joked about it with the owner and his partner. The cuisine is based on quality.

01/08/2026: Vinosus is a special restaurant, with a private and quiet terrace offering a wonderful view of the Duomo, perfect for a relaxing dinner. We were welcomed by Mattia, an impeccable host: attentive without ever being intrusive, knowledgeable, and deeply passionate about his work. We trusted his advice implicitly and couldn't have made a better choice. In the kitchen, the incomparable Nonna made every dish a masterpiece. We started with an excellent selection of cured meats and cheeses, enhanced by a true gem: bruschetta with chicken livers, with an authentic and unforgettable flavor. For our first courses, we tried gnocchi with Scottona white ragù and tagliolini with zucchini scapece, zucchini flowers, and pink shrimp: two extraordinary dishes, balanced and rich in flavor. To conclude, two exceptional desserts: a traditional tiramisu and a chocolate mousse with the addition of excellent local black cherries, accompanied by a cherry liqueur prepared by Mattia himself—aromatic, delicate, and delicious. The result? A perfect dinner, where quality ingredients, attention to detail, hospitality, and passion blend into an experience that will stay with you forever. 04/08/2026: We stayed just one night at Altarocca, and honestly, we wish it had been longer. The resort is spread across the hills near Orvieto, and the moment you step into the main building for check-in, the setting is clean, fresh, and immediately relaxing — the mood is set from the very start. Breakfast is served in the main building, and the spa is also accessible there; with our short stay we didn’t have time for a treatment, but the range on offer looked excellent. We were then driven by car to our room, a short 5-minute ride away in one of the villas. The room was fresh and spotless, with a lovely welcome touch of complimentary cold drinks waiting for us. The pool was just downstairs, right across from our room, with elegant white sun loungers and large umbrellas — the water temperature was perfect, not too cold and not too warm. We spent a wonderful afternoon by the pool, sipping a glass of the local Metodo Classico. For dinner, we walked through the vineyards to reach the resort restaurant — a beautiful, relaxing stroll in itself. We had a table inside but right on the terrace, enjoying delicious local food, the resort’s own wine, and a lovely panoramic view. The staff throughout was warm and attentive. Breakfast the next morning was equally good, with a generous spread of both sweet and savory options — I went for a classic Italian cornetto and cappuccino. We topped it off with another swim before checkout, wishing we could have stayed a couple more days. A beautiful, relaxing escape — highly recommend for anyone exploring Umbria.

11/08/2026: What a disappointment 😥 We used to come eat here every few weeks. Many times the service was slow and not so smiley, but the hamburger "il non originale" used to be very very tasty. Today the hamburger was really not tasty. The bun was awful :/

07/08/2026: The effort put into the atmosphere is commendable, even if the vintage furniture has its flaws. The service is efficient, if a bit blunt. Locally brewed beer, well-stocked bar. Excellent sauce with the bacalhau and perfectly cooked tagliata.

11/05/2026: Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant's cuisine, and for this very reason, we prefer not to comment on this aspect. However, we believe it's important to emphasize how much first impressions and hospitality impact a customer's overall experience. We had booked a table on April 25th, intrigued by the idea of ​​a day trip to the beautiful Orvieto. Before arriving, I called the restaurant simply to warn them that, due to the typical holiday traffic coming from Rome, we might experience a slight delay of about 15 minutes. This wasn't a certainty, but simply a possibility that we wanted to disclose for the sake of fairness, having also had to enter our credit card details to guarantee the reservation. Unfortunately, the person on the phone was rather rude and unhelpful. This was a questionable decision, especially since we weren't just customers, but also tourists. We were told in no uncertain terms that such a delay would be unacceptable and that the table would be cancelled immediately after 2:00 PM, adding: "After the toll booth, you have 20 minutes to arrive on time." We regret not having been able to enjoy what might have been a positive experience in other respects, but given these circumstances, we chose to cancel the reservation. Our intention was simply to be courteous and transparent, advising that we could arrive no later than 2:15 PM. We're still a little disappointed by what happened, but that's okay.

07/05/2026: I've known this restaurant for 6 years and returned to it on May 2nd for the 5th time (in October 2022 I also celebrated my birthday there) and I must say that the experience is always magnificent. It's the ideal way to escape the tourist chaos of Orvieto, especially in the midst of a long holiday like May 1st. The dinner was truly excellent, with masterful preparations of Umbrian cuisine and more; an excellent wine list; impeccable and very friendly service. Even though I'm not a regular visitor, I admit that returning is always a wonderful experience! See you soon!

14/08/2026: Poor dishes, the price did not correspond to the fixed menu, we had a price increase of around €30. When it came to paying, I asked for explanations and on top of that I was insulted.

14/08/2026: I don't recommend this place to anyone, stay away. There was a price on the poster, they gave us a beating. And who's going to forget that? The food wasn't good, we left hungry. We stopped at Orvieto Scalo and got a porchetta sandwich.
