08/12/2025: Rosa d'Oro Pizzeria Restaurant - Cold Dishes and No Recognition We arrived at Rosa d'Oro Pizzeria Restaurant promptly, at its opening time of 12:00, intending to enjoy a good lunch. Our first impression upon entering was immediately mixed: the decor is an indecipherable mix of Trentino-style dining and German-style echoes, complete with signs referring to Munich. The aesthetic identity is unclear, but we were there for the food. Hyper-Fast Service, Absent Quality After perusing the menu, we all opted for the option that seemed the most interesting and complete: the single dish. This dish included a mix of Alpine and Bavarian flavors: dumplings, goulash, Nuremberg sausages, würstel, sauerkraut, and polenta. The excessive speed with which we were served was our first warning sign. The dishes arrived at the table literally less than 3 minutes after ordering. While quick service is appreciated, in this case it was a clear sign that the dishes had been prepared well in advance. Unfortunately, the confirmation came when we tasted them: everything was lukewarm, verging on cold. The polenta, dumplings, goulash, and even the sausages weren't the right temperature, which completely ruined the experience. No Compensation or Concrete Apology. We reported the issue to the waitress. After checking with the kitchen, she told us she apologized for the inconvenience, explaining that "perhaps because they had prepared it earlier, it got cold." This was an unacceptable excuse for a restaurant serving food. A cold dish, especially a single dish combining several dishes, should be reheated and plated properly. The height of disappointment came when it came time to pay. Despite the obvious mistake, acknowledged by the waitress herself, no attempt was made to apologize to the customer through a discount or even a small gesture of courtesy (like offering a coffee or water). We paid the full bill for a meal that wasn't up to the quality promised. In short: We arrived first, were rushed to the table with cold dishes, and left feeling neglected. This is no way to treat customers.

30/09/2025: Excellent seafood dishes with generous portions and fresh ingredients at reasonable prices! Pleasant atmosphere with a lake view and friendly staff. The pizza is average; I'd opt for the seafood dishes.

20/09/2025: Beautiful place in the center of Riva del Garda. The guy who served us was extremely knowledgeable, gave us advice, and pampered us. The food was fantastic—the best tuna tartare and calamarata I've ever had. The chef was very helpful and truly talented. The price was incredibly fair. I highly recommend it and will be back!

04/09/2025: I was traveling alone, so I went there for lunch. Unfortunately, there were no fried anchovies on the menu, BUT: I asked nicely, and, of course, they made me a huge portion. Absolutely delicious. Friendly service. Great view of the piazza.

22/07/2025: We went to the Zefiro restaurant for a special occasion. Everything, from the food to the hospitality, was perfect. The waiters were helpful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable in explaining the dishes the chef was preparing. Traditional Trentino dishes, revisited with a modern twist! Very interesting. At the end of the evening, we also had the opportunity to chat with the chef, a very pleasant and, obviously, very knowledgeable person. We will be back. Thank you for a pleasant evening. 19/10/2025: A very nice little restaurant on the mountain not far from Torbole. The view of Lake Garda and Torbole from the terrace is magnificent! You can dine outside or inside. A rustic ambiance in vaulted rooms, friendly service, and delicious food. We loved it and would happily recommend this little restaurant!

Everything in Gasthof Kohlern invites you to slowly appreciate the beauty of life: the natural environment, with an amazing view of the surrounding mountains; the cuisine, with delicious and refined dishes, the wines, the breakfasts; the simple elegance of the rooms; the peace and quiet; and last but not least, the generous and considerate kindness of the staff. Viele Dank: you make this place a perfect combination of charming and soothing.

06/12/2025: I'll start by saying I frequented this restaurant before it changed management and thought it was AMAZING! EVERYTHING has changed under the new management (starting at the end of November 2025). The potato tortel was full, full of oil, and had no accompanying sauce. Then I ordered the canaderli, and that was the biggest disappointment: they used VEGETABLE STOCK for the broth, and the canaderli had a sour aftertaste (maybe there was a particular spice, but they were inedible, so I left them there). Four of us went for dinner, and all four of us had reflux, nausea, and heartburn. Total disappointment! I've brought several friends and family here to try Trentino cuisine, but of course they'll never see me again!

06/12/2025: This restaurant recently changed ownership and is definitely to be avoided. The wait was too long. The sour dumplings were served with stock cubes. The pork cheek (which was supposed to be with Teroldego but wasn't, despite the menu specifically stating it) was tasteless; it tasted like Simmental cheese. Flavorless polenta. The potato tarts were too greasy and tasteless, served without sauce (it's usually served with blueberry or berry jam). The only thing I appreciated was the 18-lune grappa, simply because it's not homemade. The food under the old management was much better, and I frequented it for a long time.

11/11/2025: We've been coming here for half a century, and even when I look at the black and white photos of Villabassa when it was pure—not that it isn't—but those were better times... it gives me goosebumps. We have a house along the river.

19/10/2025: So... so much magic? We went for dinner on Saturday, October 4th; they were closing the next day. Everything, or almost everything, was magically transformed: the veal rosticciata with potatoes and turnips became a veal rosticciata (not at all soft) with onions and turnips, the caramel cube with fruit crumble transformed into a chocolate cube with a little topping and a few blueberries... pure magic????? The only truly good thing was the wine. Huge disappointment!

29/10/2025: We visited the restaurant 2 consecutive nights while staying at Ortisei. Ordered the Tris de bales and Maltagliati with roebuck ragout on the first night and went back to try the Spätzle, lamb chops and chestnut dessert. Foods were amazing and delicious. The restaurant setting was cozy and service was great and attentive. Thank you for the complementary hazelnut liquor too. 👍💯

27/09/2025: It's been a long time since we've eaten so excellently. We had a bit of everything from starters to main courses to dessert, plus a fantastic wine recommendation. First-class service, so incredibly friendly, courteous, attentive, professional, and humorous—a truly great pleasure. A cozy and stylish ambiance, friendly guests, and a lovely atmosphere. When it comes to food, you don't know where to start—such a special selection of dishes, or rather, creations. An absolute delight, not just for the palate but also for the eyes. The desserts we had were divine. Pure culinary delights and truly delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening and a great pleasure to be a guest in this special restaurant! Anyone in Merano or the surrounding area should definitely not miss a visit.
