11/05/2025: I entered the restaurant “A maidda” by chance because I didn’t know it had reopened and I discovered that you can have the pleasure of eating there only on weekends. The place is suggestive and very romantic! I had the orecchiette scented with fennel… Amazing dish… Impeccable cooking and delicate and tasty fennel cream. The chef who is also the owner of the restaurant is very knowledgeable as well as very kind and friendly and the staff is very kind and very friendly He explained to us that the menu varies according to seasonal products. I also learned that the place offers experiences and culinary journeys of a certain depth. I promised myself to return more often!

26/04/2025: We had dinner here on a Saturday night and had a very good meal. Well-prepared traditional local foods, excellent flavors and very inviting combinations. The appetizer is highly recommended. Very friendly staff, particular place with some tables inside a small cave. Absolutely recommended!

Leímos sobre Retroscena en una guía de Rick Steeves y decidimos probarla - ¡estamos tan contentos de haberlo hecho! Tenían menú para especiales del día, así como un extenso menú "regular". Mi marido tenía la pasta de marisco y yo disfrutaba de un filete de besugo. Gran selección de vinos, también.

26/04/2025: Una stupenda prima volta presso questo ristorante. La bontà dei piatti incontra la convivialità e l'esperienza del personale, che con calore ci ha accolti e consigliati. I due primi ottimi e ben bilanciati nel gusto. La "pasta ca muddica" mi ha riportata indietro nel tempo a quando la mia nonna preparava questo piatto. Ottime anche le linguine con bottarga e asparagi; Come secondo, consiglio "tonno a cipuddata". Complimenti l'amore che mettete nel vostro lavoro. Grazie per la piacevolissima esperienza. 31/05/2025: I am from Greece and i fish. This place has the best sword fish, calamari ,shrimps that I have ever eaten. I went 4 out of 5 days that I was in Syracusa

31/05/2025: Fantastic food, fresh fresh fish, the grilled tuna and swordfish were the best I’ve ever eaten as were the fried calamari and sardines. Don’t forget to order the orange and fennel bulb salad with pink peppercorns. Friendly welcoming staff and very reasonable prices

The pizza was good but the digestibility of the same was really complicated. So my judgment on the food cannot go beyond two stars.

04/06/2025: Consigliato da mio figlio Tommaso e Valentina la sua compagna, siamo riusciti fortunatamente a prenotare in questo meraviglioso posto in cui fare esperienza del mangiare bene curato da un ottimo chef. Ottima l'accoglienza e una carta molto completa che abbina sia un menu alla carta di pesce sia un vasto menu di pizze e fritti. Ho scelto per l'accasione una pizza con burrata e pistacchio, veramente ottima cosi come ottimi i fritti. Vale il posto e vale il cibo. Tutti gli altri miei commensali hanno scelto cose diverse e tutti hanno apprezzato le loro pietanze. Ottimo anche l'accoglienza e la gentilezza e raffinatezza della proprietaria. Ho conosciuto anche lo chef che ci ha salutato e conversato amabilmente con il nostro gruppo prima di lasciare il locale.

24/04/2025: Top 🔝 on everything and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's among the best pizzas I've eaten. Immersed in nature, among the hills and mountains of Canicattini Bagni. Breathtaking views and clean location with the possibility of having lunch outside.
