The special appetizer was beautiful and prepared with authentic ingredients, with old-fashioned aromas that hark back to true tradition. 21/10/2025: The "Santa Maria" bakery is a must-visit not only for its delicious homemade bread, baked daily by Mr. Iemmolo, but also for enjoying the delicious local biscuits. The highlight is undoubtedly the delicious impanatiglie, a typical Modica dessert. We were greeted by Mr. Iemmolo's daughters, Grazia and Valentina, who were incredibly friendly, always smiling, and always ready to recommend the most tempting products. Highly recommended

The dishes arrive at the table with the reassuring generosity of the past: authentic, straightforward, unpretentious cuisine, where every flavor tells a story and every bite tastes like home. Nothing is left to chance, and for this reason, everything feels authentic. The atmosphere is that of the trattorias of the past, where time slows down and you feel like a guest, not a customer. The service is friendly, familiar, never intrusive, as if you were sitting at the table of someone whose cooking is, first and foremost, a passion. A place that resists time and trends, and for this, deserves sincere praise. Trattoria Maria Fidone is more than just a restaurant: it is a memory that lives on, and is always worth reliving.

01/03/2026: I had lunch at La Sirenetta restaurant and the experience was simply impeccable. We opted for the tasting menu, and it was a truly exquisite gastronomic journey. The quality of the ingredients is unquestionable: ultra-fresh fish enhanced by innovative dishes and surprising combinations, masterfully combining technique and flavor. Beyond the excellence of the food, I truly appreciated the atmosphere: it's a quiet, intimate, and relaxing place, perfect for fully enjoying the evening. The attention to detail truly makes the difference, both in the elegant presentation of each course and in the service. Compliments to the entire staff, a well-deserved 5 stars. We'll be back soon!

28/10/2025: I was with friends strolling around Marina di Modica. Despite the late hour, we noticed the place was packed, so we chose it as our spot. They quickly set us up at a table, even though it was on the roadside but well-located. We chose a little bit of everything, from pizza to fish, to pasta dishes, accompanied by a good, authentic Sicilian Grillo. We chose the pizza with the fried fish of the day as an appetizer, and everything arrived quickly. Afterwards, we moved on to the first and second courses, from the peppered mussels to the pasta and fish. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place, although the price can be a bit higher depending on what you choose.

22/02/2026: You don't often find a little gem, and when you do, there is always some reservation in sharing the information in case notoriety somehow spoils or changes what you've found. Emporio Caccamo is one of those places, with charming, simple, eclectic decor friendly and attentive srvice from Santo, and excellent people in the kitchen serving delicious, well prepared and thoughtful dishes with something to please everyone. I see people hesitate at the door wondering what it will be like from the specials board - if I have a chance, I becon them is as I bet you will!

07/03/2026: We went for dinner two nights in a row. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. We dined with our 9-month-old baby. Authentic Sicilian home cooking. Seafood and meat dishes. The mixed antipasto was phenomenal! As were the cannoli and almond jelly.

24/02/2026: If we could give it a 0, it would be the fairest rating!!! I was having lunch in Modica for work with a colleague. We trusted them because there were two police vans parked outside the restaurant. The place was nice at first glance, but it was a shame about everything else. The waitress couldn't even understand what she was saying, and when she came to the table, there was a bad smell of sweat. Considering it's only February, I can't imagine how the waitress would behave in August. That said, we ordered an appetizer and two first courses. The frozen shrimp appetizer was the only thing missing, but the rest was insufficient. We waited for the first courses and hoped for a miracle, but that wasn't the case. I've never eaten such tasteless pasta; the fish flavor was nonexistent, and it even lacked salt. After this miserable lunch, we paid a whopping €59 for two. The owner didn't even bother to ask what was wrong, but instead just gave us the bill. After paying, my colleague told her confidentially that the pasta was inedible, and she could only say that she couldn't do anything about it, in an annoyed tone. I don't think more can be said than that. I hope for the lady's sake that the chef, if he has one, takes a cooking class, uses fresh fish since we're close to the sea, and takes a hospitality course since she works in the restaurant industry!

22/02/2026: I've been to Pizzeria Ristorante La Contea, a true institution in Modica, and the experience was decidedly positive. The pizza is good, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients used. The rest of the menu is also of a good standard, with well-prepared and carefully prepared dishes. The prices are average, but absolutely fair for what's offered. The service is good: courteous and helpful staff, attentive to customer needs and always ready to accommodate any request. The only downside is the lack of WiFi inside the restaurant; if you have a phone provider with poor coverage, you risk being completely cut off. However, the owners assured me that this is under construction, so it will probably be fixed soon. Overall, a place I definitely recommend 👍

05/10/2025: We can't thank Torre Palazzelle enough for making our wedding unforgettable. The event was held outdoors, and despite the wind, Serena, Massimo, and their entire fantastic staff were responsive, attentive, and always ready to make us feel at ease. We ate divinely, and every dish was delicious, meticulously crafted, and served with great professionalism. Thanks to them all, our celebration was perfect, full of joy and worry-free.
