09/06/2025: Passing through Modica we decided to choose this restaurant which turned out to be an excellent discovery. Very good food, not the classic veg/vegetarian, with few ideas, but a very organized restaurant with many beautiful and delicious proposals, All accompanied by the courtesy of the owner and the chef. 👏👏👏👏👏

27/04/2025: Avevo sentito parlare da amici di questo locale e nel mio immaginario pensavo a una trattoria ubicata in un edificio storico di una località agricola. Mi sbagliavo in quanto il ristorante è costituito da una grande sala e da una più piccola che funge da ingresso. Purtroppo in un ambiente così concepito, quando il locale è pieno (e pare ciò sia ricorrente) vi sono problemi di insonorizzazione. Per il resto il locale ha soddisfatto le aspettative: - ottima qualità del cibo e buona cucina; - servizio soddisfacente sebbene il locale fosse pieno e in un giorno festivo (25 aprile); - molta attenzione alle esigenze dei clienti (cibo senza glutine e senza formaggio); - ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Sicuramente ci tornerò e, possibilmente, concorderò i piatti tipici di stagione.

31/05/2025: This one was a bit hit and miss for us. Some dishes were great, others we weren’t so keen on. The waiting staff were lovey, friendly and attentive. What spoilt it for us was the atmosphere. The entrance to the restaurant has nothing more than the name over the door, and there is nothing inside other than a spiral stair case going upwards, but nothing inviting or telling you you are going in the right direction. Once you get to the top still nothing of notice other than glass door, where we were met by the friendly staff once we walked through, but nothing inviting a very welcoming entrance. The atmosphere was completely lacking, not helped by the fact that it is a large room in pleasant surroundings, but being a Sunday evening there was only us and two other couples which made for a very quiet environment. Don’t think my wine choice this evening helped either. This one missed for us which was a shame.

15/05/2025: Esperienza fantastica! Un viaggio alla scoperta di sapori e interpretazioni di piatti locali e non. Tutto veramente molto buono! Il menù segue le stagioni e i prodotti tipici. La chef Francesca é veramente impressionante. Complimenti anche a Carla e Paolo che in sala ti fanno sentire a tuo agio e sono attenti ai minimi dettagli.

16/06/2025: Cibo buonissimo. Cucina casereccia e piatti tipici siciliani. Vini ottimi. Personale gentile, preciso e garbato. Una bellissima esperienza. Consiglio!

15/05/2025: Excellent food and good wine. Very casual restaurant with a few tables and a great atmosphere. Interesting dishes on the menu.

08/06/2025: Very good local pizza and a great atmosphere to soak in the vibes of the city. Absolutely not touristic. The wine options were amazing. The prizing for the pizza was very fair and moderate. Definitely consider getting dinner there if you’re in modica 🍕

09/06/2025: Large, easy to reach, very welcoming place to enjoy a good pizza or to taste some good fresh fish accompanied by excellent wines. Good service. Place equipped with a large free parking lot.

07/06/2025: Had dinner on a holiday weekend We were definitely unlucky because there were 3 events: 2 communions and 1 birthday We had 2 first courses: spaghetti with lemon and prawns (the red prawns from Mazzara were delicious, the spaghetti tasted too much butter and was too al dente), spaghetti with clams (good clams, spaghetti not seasoned at all, oil needed to be added); 1 second course: tuna with onion (perhaps the best dish even if the quality of the product was not top) Paid €62 in total (with water and service) The service was not up to par, we asked for oil 3 times before it arrived (and in the meantime the pasta got cold) Overall the quality/price ratio was convenient. I'm sorry but the coincidence of the events must have had an impact. I would like to point out that we dined outside on a cool and breezy evening, requiring a jacket, but the outdoor area was not protected and there was no heat mushroom (not working)

30/05/2025: Every time we come to the Ragusa area and its surroundings, we plan to have lunch here and we always leave satisfied. Welcoming place. Clean with friendly staff. The place is what it says it is... a trattoria, with simple but well-made dishes. They do not imitate refined restaurants with elaborate plating. If you come here, you come to eat traditional dishes. And the bill does not disappoint either... perfect like everything else.

06/06/2025: I am not writing this review as a customer but as a worker because I worked for 1 month in this place as a dishwasher, a super negative experience, the chef named Luca is a terrible person, he thinks in his own way and if you have a problem he doesn't care, he kicks you out and doesn't want to know anything, so even if you have a fever of 40 or other types of unforeseen events you have to go to work, he is not an understanding person but the opposite and a person who only thinks about himself and at work you can even die, he doesn't care. So if you have to deal with this person, run away because you will have a bad time if you work there. Having said that, I am super happy to have left because in work there must be tranquility and respect which this individual absolutely does not have

25/04/2025: We had reserved the table that same morning for lunch. The wait was a little too long especially for the first course, the starters. The fried ricotta and radiccio with ragusan provola are very good, must try! Among the first courses chosen, in order of preference: cavati alla norma, truly exceptional, excellent sauce and ingredients; lollini with pistachio pesto, also in this case really tasty as the flavor of the pistachio was strong; finally for the seafood linguine, I think we could do better. The location as well as the welcome is very familiar and rustic. The lady is really nice!

30/05/2025: Vale davvero la pena arrampicarsi fino a qui per godere dei sapori autentici della tradizione che troverete in ogni morso. Personale molto cordiale, atmosfera autentica, locale storico e cibo ottimo. Da non perdere assolutamente.

31/05/2025: Amazing pizza!! So many options.

12/06/2025: Dinner, nine of us, during a vacation. We start with a series of good and abundant seafood appetizers after which we are all full. Only three of us decide to try the spaghetti with clams: two portions for three. Then sorbet or dessert for eight. Then to the cashier. Surprise: bill 360.00 euros. "What 360 euros?" we ask. "Yes" replies the one who seems to be the boss, "you took the set menu that costs 40.00 euros per person." " Excuse me, we ate appetizers for eight, only two first courses and the sorbet." "Yes but since you started with the tastings we understood that you were choosing that menu..." In short, there was no way to make it clear that in a restaurant you should pay for what you eat and not what the manager thinks you would like to eat. Our fault, first of all, because we should have called the finance police and asked for an inspection, but is it possible that now, wherever you go, you have to think about how to defend yourself because there is always someone trying to screw you?

11/06/2025: Good restaurant and pizzeria. You can try both meat and fish at honest prices. Possibility of outdoor seating in the garden. Courteous and helpful service. If you pass by those parts it is worth the stop

14/04/2025: We booked by phone at the last minute, but already by phone you understand the care and attention towards the customer. I saw really interesting and well prepared dishes being served. I ate an appetizer of artichokes and roasted mushrooms which were cooked and very tasty. A 1kg steak cooked to perfection and a simple but truly tasty orange salad that complemented the tasty meat, all accompanied by a bottle of wine from the Donnafugata cellars. Excellent experience
