We went to Bar Carbonara for dinner: the food quality was good and the dishes were well-presented. The prices are quite high, but in line with those in Villasimius. However, it wasn't the restaurant that impressed us the most during our stay.
One area that could definitely be improved is the service: we waited over 25 minutes for two simple appetizers (casu furriau and a selection of cheeses), despite the dining room being almost empty. This somewhat spoiled the experience, as we expected quicker service, given the situation.
Overall, it's a nice place, with dishes in line with the local offerings. If they improved the service, the experience would certainly be more enjoyable.

31/07/2025: We ate there a few days ago. The wait was long, the table was narrow, and the waiters used the window exit and kept coming by, asking to move our chairs.
The bar staff is rude. Very rude.
Highly not recommended.

07/08/2025: The tiramisu was delicious, and the passion fruit Aperol was also amazing. We ordered raw prawns, and the dish consisted of one prawn 😂 Otherwise, everything was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely.

04/07/2025: We decided to stop and eat something, my partner took pizza and I took spaghetti with clams and bottarga..my partner said the pizza was not bad, the spaghetti arrived and it looked like boiled pasta without a drizzle of oil, the pieces of tomato, I didn't even see the pan for cooking it. Without garlic and parsley I had to ask for oil and chili pepper to be able to eat...disappointment that the raw material was there but put in the wrong hands

03/08/2025: Benché sia un ristorante storico io non c'ero mai stato. Ed è stata una piacevole scoperta. Location molto bella: sobria, non sfarzosa, ma piacevole. View da favola sul golfo di Cala Caterina. Servizio ottimo. E ottima interazione con il personale di sala che, discretamente e senza essere invadente, dava ottimi consigli. Prezzo adeguato alle aspettative e all'ottima qualità del cibo. Tornare.
02/08/2025: Io e mia figlia abbiamo soggiornato in una delle cala Caterina rooms e visto il bellissimo tramonto della spiaggia di santo stefano abbiamo deciso di disertare l’idea di una cena a Villasimius optando per il ristorante collocato affianco alla nostra camera.
Siamo stati accolte divinamente dai titolari e dallo staff e abbiamo vissuto una super soddisfacente esperienza culinaria.
Non mi resta che ringraziare chi si trova a capo sia della struttura ricettiva che del ristorante, in quanto sono riusciti a soddisfare le mie esigenze di relax sia a livello di mare, di riposo che culinaria !!!

16/07/2025: During our two-week summer vacation on the beautiful island of Lipari, we enjoyed three wonderful evenings at Graziano's restaurant, El Pirata, in the picturesque old harbor. We highly recommend a visit to the restaurant. You will be pampered and enchanted by the culinary delights. The specialties here are of the highest quality and flavor, lovingly prepared. The service is very attentive and warm. They even provided me with a stool for my handbag! The surrounding scenery is uniquely beautiful and romantic. The prices are completely justified for what you get here. Thank you for this delight!
