02/11/2025: Amazing... truly... unique flavors... my compliments... The fried pork belly with its side dishes was truly something unique for me... Everything was truly exceptional. I had high expectations and they were far exceeded... I really recommend it and I hope to return soon. The saffron risotto with ossobuco was exceptional. But then be careful with everything... from the homemade felafel with red carrot cream offered by the restaurant while you wait, to the excellent bread and focaccia made by them. With the coffee they offered two desserts (just one coffee but there were two of us... so super sweet)... Thank you so much ❤️🙇🏼👍👌🥇🤙... everything was super at the right price 🙇🏼❤️🙇🏼🫶. I forgot about the dessert... what skill... a place I truly recommend with all my heart... I had a wonderful time. The girl in the dining room was also super kind and attentive... A truly sincere place in every way with extremely high quality ❤️. Trust me, it's truly SUPER 🙇🏼🥇👍❤️. 28/09/2025: Wow! I rarely give 5 stars, but this place truly enchanted us. The location is warm and welcoming. The staff is kind, helpful, and super professional. We had two appetizers, two main courses, and a dessert, along with wine and water. The portions were adequate and the prices fair. The food was excellent, showcasing local products. Highly recommended!!! PS: If I may recommend something... I would have liked some honey on the cured meats and cheese platter.

26/09/2025: Welcoming place, attentive staff, and fast service. The menu is rather limited, but in my opinion, that's a good thing because the dishes are expertly prepared. Personally, I can say that the Fassona steak is one of the best cuts I've ever eaten: crispy on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside. Truly delicious! I'll have to come back to try the desserts.

13/10/2025: A delightful lakeside restaurant offering both freshwater fish and a variety of vegan options. It's hard to find a restaurant on this island that isn't a tourist trap, and this was a wonderful discovery! Reservations are required, well in advance.

23/10/2025: We went last night with a little girl. We had a wonderful time, the waitress was very friendly and explained in detail all the gluten-free dishes (practically all of them). A paradise for anyone with a celiac disease, and also suitable for vegans (they had a selection of vegan cheeses). They also have a children's menu (gluten-free too!). We had gluten-free fried fish and fondue with GF potatoes/crostini. Thank you, because it's truly a blessing to find a place where celiac disease isn't a problem!

10/10/2025: I'll start by saying that it was recommended to me by locals, so despite the high but mixed reviews, I decided to try this Osteria. The road to get there, in my opinion, is accessible and typical, but only if you have no particular driving difficulties. We're not in the plains, so it's typical mountain roads, weather-beaten... but they're easily passable. If you have trouble parking in Milan, leave your car on the main road and take a walk that won't ruin your appetite. As for the restaurant itself, I'd say it's worth a visit; it's very characteristic and offers a truly evocative view. Personally, I think the location is worth the effort. As for lunch, I have to say I enjoyed it; the dishes were good and the portions were normal, except for the platters, which I found a bit on the small side. Sometimes tastes can confuse the perception of flavors. I found the first courses to be very light and delicate; I personally had the linguine with porcini mushrooms, and I usually find more bold flavors. For the platters, I think it's different... the cured meats were good, as were the jams, but the portions were very small. The dessert was good, but described differently than it was when it arrived. There was ice cream, but it wasn't mentioned. It didn't detract from its deliciousness; in fact, being an apple tart, it paired perfectly. Sometimes, however, different expectations can be confusing and risk disappointing. I would return, for the location—certainly, it's best if it's a nice day, but it's still beautiful regardless—to better understand the flavors and dishes. Sometimes in certain places, you expect strong, bold flavors, while here everything is very delicate. Worth a try...

20/09/2025: Hidden away in the tiny hamlet of Stropino. The restaurant's unusual name derives from local umbrella makers' slang, apparently. The quirkiness doesn't stop there. No written menu, Basil Fawlty-type "welcome." We were the only non-locals there, and glances from the regulars were initially suspicious, hostile even. We hadn't booked and had to wait on the naughty step. But if you can get past all that - and try to speak some Italian - then this is an authentic and very enjoyable dining experience: excellent value, good-quality wine by the carafe, everything home-made and local. And everyone was friendly by the time we left! Light years away from the tourist traps on the Borromean islands.
