05/07/2026: We decided to have an aperitif, and while we were standing outside, they immediately informed us of the €15 deal, including a drink. We asked how it worked and were told it included a platter of cured meats and cheeses, plus focaccia, gnocco fritto, and appetizers, with a hot first course and battered vegetables at the end. We were served a platter with mostly pizza and fried foods, all of them poor quality, a slice of mortadella split to make it look like 4 slices, two pieces of roast beef that were three days old, probably because it wasn't chewy, and three pieces of parmesan cheese. Also, mistaking the gnocco fritto for frozen round fritters seems absurd to me. We didn't eat the platter and left with only our glass of wine. A subpar aperitif, completely unremarkable for a place that's supposed to serve traditional Pavia cuisine. What a disappointment.

19/06/2026: I had lunch with my husband and daughter during a day of leisure in Pavia. I found this osteria online based on reviews that mentioned it as a good place, and I must confirm that it truly is. The interior is stunning, spread across two floors, and we'll definitely be back. We had lunch outside with the €10 menu, which includes a choice of first course, second course with side dish, water, and coffee. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

10/07/2026: First time at Roby's, and a review is a must. The welcome was excellent, and the food was excellent, with successful and delicious pairings. The portions were just right for trying the entire menu. She's already a friend after the appetizers. Only two tables, seating eight in total, perfect for this format.

25/06/2026: A nightmare. You dine in a dark place where the stench of cat urine takes your breath away. There are two tables, no background music, a chilling silence. The food is home-cooked, nothing special, there's no wine list, and the menu is a fixed price. Insane prices, highly discouraged. We didn't leave just out of politeness.

07/05/2026: Excellent traditional cuisine is served in a pleasant atmosphere. The process for reserving a table is a bit cumbersome. But I'll be back.

21/05/2026: Excellent service. Delicious food, plentiful appetizers and first courses, excellent risotto, and delicate tagliatelle. We were a group and chose the traditional menu, but they accommodated some of our special requests. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar.

19/05/2026: All the dishes were excellent. The food was beautifully plated. The service was fast and very refined. The waiters were friendly. I recommend it for both lunch and dinner.

14/06/2026: Fresh, local ingredients, expert cooking and preparation, welcoming staff, and a relaxing atmosphere. The beetroot risotto with gorgonzola and the truly Piedmontese veal with tuna sauce are worth a try. The house dessert is a real treat for a Sunday lunch at grandma's.

05/07/2026: The restaurant's theme is unclear, perhaps even to its creator. The atmosphere isn't particularly comfortable, and the seating leaves much to be desired. Even upon entering, the staff seemed somewhat disorganized in managing the influx of customers. The service was rather lacking: it took about 10 minutes just to receive the paper menu, while consulting the digital one was virtually impossible due to the poor internet connection. The drink selection is extensive but unclear, while the accompanying food options are virtually nonexistent. Curiously, in some parts of Italy, "pozzo" is a colloquial term for "ugly"—and in this case, the name seems to describe the experience quite well.

28/06/2026: Super friendly waiters, life-saving air conditioning, simple but not banal decor. The buffet was very rich in plant-based options (we're vegan), and everything was tasty, well-cooked, and healthy. I had a cocktail called Una cosa buona (A Good Thing) that deserves a special mention. Breathtaking, fresh, and light. Definitely an experience we'll repeat every time we're in Pavia.

29/05/2026: My review will be different from the others, but I wanted to write one. Unfortunately, I didn't stay at this property because I was forced to cancel my reservation two days before my vacation. I booked through Booking.com, and just two days before my arrival, the reservation stipulated full payment for the stay in the event of cancellation. I contacted the property by phone, and they very kindly canceled the reservation with a 100% refund—and, I repeat, two days before my arrival. I'm deeply sorry I couldn't stay here; from my experience, I can see the kindness and professionalism of the people who run this beautiful agriturismo. I hope to be their guest soon.

24/05/2026: Positive experience. The photos are from this morning with the fireplace still lit (beautiful). I'd start from the beginning, though. We arrived yesterday afternoon after visiting the Certosa di Pavia (about an hour away on the main road). Is it worth it? I'd say yes. At reception, a lady greeted us and calmly explained the agriturismo to us and told us to wander around wherever we wanted to explore. I'd say it was a good suggestion. The pool (unfortunately, we forgot our swimsuits) is very nice, and some people even took a dip yesterday. There's a lovely park, and we saw where they keep the animals (geese and pigs). Overall, a lovely, relaxing experience despite the heat. Luckily, there were some benches (perhaps in need of some updating), but they did their job in the shade of the trees. The room was clean and tidy and was on two floors: the ground floor had a small living room and TV, with an adjoining bathroom with shower, a staircase, and an upper floor with an open-plan bathroom and bedroom. We dined there that evening. I believe it was a tasting menu. I'd say the quality of the food is beyond discussion; among the various tastings, the coppa was exceptional, and the first course with mushrooms was excellent. Unfortunately, I can't drink wine, but I could see the guests happily (lucky them) sipping and enjoying it. This morning, we had breakfast with a cappuccino (really good), but especially with the jams/compostellas (you can see the selection in one of the photos posted), which were described to us by a waiter and are all their own. I tried their cherry jam and blackberry compote on warm bread...to say they were both excellent is an understatement. The only downside I could find (though I still have to look for a needle in a haystack) was the parking. Here, too, like the parking lot near the Certosa di Pavia, gravel instead of asphalt. I don't know the results if it rains, but maybe I'm wrong. There are clearly visible signs where the management declines all responsibility for damage/theft to cars in their parking lots. In a context where we are surrounded by drones and cameras, perhaps 4 cameras, one per parking lot to monitor customers' cars, wouldn't be a bad investment (a small and impartial suggestion, debatable or not). Overall, a positive experience. Recommended.
