24/01/2025: Cogimos el ferry de Argegno a Varenna, que es bastante barato. Definitivamente necesito buenos zapatos para caminar como un montón de caminos irregulares. Solo un paisaje muy hermoso y tantos lugares agradables para almorzar. Pasamos 4-5 horas explorando. No te decepcionará Varenna.

20/10/2024: Esta fue la mejor comida que tuvimos en Italia! ¡Sus raviolis con salsa de crema de brócoli son exquisitos! El servicio es fabuloso! El restaurante es muy bonito y cómodo. Recomiendo encarecidamente esto!

07/03/2025: Me sorprende que este restaurante se encuentre tan “gruñón” como he estado allí varias veces con diferentes amigos y siempre tenemos buena comida, buen servicio feliz y un tiempo encantador. Es un auténtico restaurante lago di como, no turístico, (quizás esto es con lo que la gente se molesta 🤷🏻‍♀️) con una carta muy buena para gustos diversos.

15/01/2025: Una pizza davvero squisita. Ottima lievitazione, cottura perfetta, equilibrio di ingredienti. Che dire? Una pizza quasi perfetta. Il locale era pieno (a pranzo), ma nonostante tutto ci hanno servito abbastanza in fretta. Personale gentile. Complimenti al pizzaiolo.

29/10/2024: Varenna is worth every trip. If you're vacationing on Lake Como and want to stay in a small, romantic town, this is the right place for you. You can take the boat to several other places and are therefore flexible. We liked it best in Varenna. Look at the pictures ;)

24/03/2025: Excellent service and delicious food. You are greeted by the owner and he helps you on choosing the wine. Diego was an excellent waiter. We really enjoyed our dinner here.

11/11/2024: One of the only rooftop restaurants we could find in Varenna. While the atmosphere was beautiful overlooking Lake Como, the food came short. We weren’t impressed with the pastas, and we had ordered a bottle of hard cider that had gone bad. We did however enjoy the peaches and cream dessert. The servers were trying to rush us out as we were dining late, seemed to be a trend as most of Varenna closes down early.

08/10/2024: Personal encantador, ubicación fantástica, muy buena comida y café. Desayunamos aquí un par de veces. El personal del café nos reconoció cada mañana y fue muy amable y atento. Los cruasanes iban a morir por ellos. Se ejecutan a partir de las 9 am y también hacen una cena. Encantador.

18/09/2024: Este es un gran café que sirve excelente café y comida del almuerzo delicioso. tuvimos buschetta seguido de un atún y envoltura de mayo. no podía faltar este café. gran servicio por gente agradable

12/01/2025: We had a quiet lunch, everyone was very courteous, they had so much consideration for our little girl for whom they prepared a plate of pasta with the sauce which she devoured. We have very good risotto and casoncelli. Location on the lake.

08/03/2025: We came for dinner on 03/06/2025. The pizzas were very tasty at a fair price. The service and kindness is perhaps the best you have ever encountered. The lady serving was always kind and smiling. He saw all our wishes. You could learn about hospitality from him. The next time we are there, we will definitely eat here again.

10/01/2025: per essere un venerdì sera,è deludente attendere 30 minuti per ordinare,altri 20 minuti di attesa beveraggio e ulteriori 25 minuti per l'arrivo dei piatti.Carne dura,linguine allo scoglio pieno di frammenti di gusci,birra sgasata e bianco mosso amaro. Pizza buona,prezzi nella media.

24/11/2024: Highly recommended place. Excellent tonnarelli carbonara and pizza of the day, fast service and lake view. Fair prices for the location, especially when compared to nearby places. If we are passing through we will return.

02/11/2024: Lots of people. Impossible to sit down, plastic glass and out on the street after having paid €7 for each beer and without being able to enter the only bathroom because of the endless queue.

02/03/2025: Ho festeggiato la mia festa di laurea presso il ristorante Il Tetto Brianzolo, che consiglio moltissimo per la cura nell’allestimento della sala e per l’ottimo menú selezionato con attenzione dal ristorante. Il cibo era molto buono ed è piaciuto a tutti gli invitati! È stata una bellissima serata e se avrò un bel ricordo della cena è merito di tutto il team del ristorante, che ringrazio vivamente. Un’ultima cosa, consiglio questo ristorante per tutti coloro che hanno esigenze culinarie particolari, quali intolleranze. Il ristorante ha ottime alternative senza glutine, senza lattosio e vegetariane e vegane.

29/10/2024: Ho scelto questo ristorante per festeggiare il mio compleanno . La signora Margherita sin da subito si è mostrata gentile e disponibile , abbiamo definito il menù insieme ed è venuta incontro a tutte le mie richieste … la nostra sala è stata allestita in modo impeccabile e il servizio è stato curato in tutto , sul tavolo era presente addirittura il menù personalizzato a mio nome … Cibo buonissimo , i camerieri sono passati più volte a riproporre le varie portate e ad assicurarsi che non mancasse nulla … torta meravigliosa e buonissima ! I miei ospiti sono rimasti davvero soddisfatti e sono usciti TUTTI con il biglietto da visita ! Consigliatissimo se avete eventi da organizzare ! Io tornerò sicuramente presto !!!

23/01/2025: Partiamo da un presupposto: molta gente se non conosce il posto che sceglie per un pranzo o una cena spesso poi non si riesce a convincere di aver sbagliato locale e lo recensisce in malo modo. E questa è una provata verità. Nel caso di El Mercante siamo di fronte una trattoria rustica sotto forma di ristorante. Di recente riallocato e ampliato nello spazio, io trovo che il nuovo sito abbia dato nuovo lustro al locale. La cucina, più o meno, mi sembra la stessa. Piatti molto abbondanti (a volte con uno ci si mangia anche in tre volendo...), ma basilari, molto basilari. Le ricette tradizionali non sono esattamente rispettate, come gli Sciatt, che divergono abbastanza dal loro classico gusto, così come i Pizzoccheri che non rispettano molto la tradizione valtellinese. Andiamo un po' meglio con i secondi, anche se pure li un occhio di riguardo in più dal cuoco non guasterebbe. Alla fine il conto è in linea col servito e con la location. Si potrebbe far molto meglio, ma non siamo ai livelli bassi che qualcuno millanta esistano. Anche l'accoglienza è molto cortese ed i locali ho notato che non peccano di eleganza e pulizia. Forse è un po' sbrigativo e "ruspante" il servizio, ma per il genere di ristorante non sfigura. Nella Vita io dico sempre che chi si accontenta non gode, ma è anche vero che se si sceglie qualcosa sapendo a cosa si va incontro poi alla fine te ne torni a casa comunque soddisfatto.

12/01/2025: Servizio lentissimo. Alle 15 dopo un primo, abbiamo deciso di andarcene. In pratica abbiamo pagato prezzo pieno per l'asporto. Peccato perché nella vecchia location ci siamo sempre trovati bene.
