We visited Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica and stopped here for a bite to eat, the bathroom, and a rest. Clean and uncrowded at 6:30 pm. A small pizza and a panino heated in the panini press were good. Not as good as freshly baked, but tasty.

The place has a small terrace which is nice but very noisy because of the main street nearby. We only ordered pizza and unfortunately it was disappointing, like a supermarket-frozen one. Also, there was an extra 2€ charge which was not mentioned in the menu or before the payment.

Hemos cenado hoy aquí y la verdad que he comido la mejor pizza tartufo del mundo. Masa fina, gran cantidad de trufa y una buena selección de champiñones. Recomendamos este sitio con los ojos cerrados. Muchas gracias por la atención y el cariño. Ha sido todo un placer!!

The risotto porcini was tasty, the service very good. So far so good. But the surprise pricing! We were eating lunch, 4 euros for bread is ok. But 7 euros for “service” is not. The price of lunch went 20% up. You have a nice place. Please correct this pricing that is very much criticized in these reviews.

Le Foodie Cafe Bistrot

27/02/2024: Ottima soluzione per un pranzo veloce e piacevole se si gira per shopping o se si stanno visitando i bellissimi siti artistici vicini. Una buona scelta di primi piatti e anche soluzioni alternative sfiziose (pizzette, arancini e molto altro). Un complimento ed un ringraziamento particolare alla "assistente clienti" Caterina: gentile, attenta e rapida. Tornerò quando sarò in zona.
27/10/2023: Ideally located between the Metro stop and the basilica of Saint John Lateran, this charming little bistro was the perfect spot to stop for a well-deserved drink after not one, but two trips to the basilica which closed abruptly during our first visit. While we just had drinks both times, the menu appeared to be quite extensive (and relatively inexpensive) and the plates that we saw come out were generous portions.

11/01/2024: Modest restaurant on a small square along the streets of Trastevere. I advise against eating pizza here. Average prices for the area and for the genre. Staff generally friendly and helpful with customers. Very difficult to find parking for the car in the immediate vicinity.
