01/03/2026: I can understand that when a restaurant is full, it’s normal you to have to wait.
We waited patiently as well, but the service was somehow disorganized.
We mentioned this twice.
We received the food after about 50 minutes, which it would not have been a problem.
Every food arrived one by one, which I don’t think is acceptable for a table of four.
The salad arrived after 15 minutes first. Another 20 minutes later, one main course came out. The person had to start eating alone because the food is getting cold Easily.
Ten minutes later, another dish arrived, and finally the last two main courses were served together.
It’s simply not possible to eat together like this. Unfortunately, the communication does not seem to be working well, and the quality of the service no longer reflects the standard it used to have. I feel sorry about the waiter and waitress,they were doing their best in the full house situation

Weekend lunch.
I personally really like this location: the fresh fish counter is open to the public, the buffet is open, the light colors and cloth tablecloths are clean, and the space is spacious and well-soundproofed. In my opinion, it perfectly captures the traditional Italian restaurant feel, a touch retro, and I consider that a compliment. You can tell at first glance that this isn't a makeshift restaurant or the whim of an aspiring chef/TV star.
I love eating fish, and between business trips and pleasure, I often stop by the restaurant.
First of all, the fish menu: just browsing through it, you'll notice a truly impressive variety of fish dishes, and it's hard not to be impressed. There's truly everything you could want, from raw fish and pasta dishes to grilled fish, fillets, and shellfish. I particularly appreciate the menu's wide range of options, including shellfish or fillets, ordered individually or by weight, and the option of grilling or frying.
I opted for a first course (pacchero Sinfonia, macchiato, with octopus, shrimp, cuttlefish, and a sensational fresh-from-the-water scampi). The sauce was heartwarming, the pasta was well-cooked and delicious, and the fish was excellent.
For the second course, I opted for a combo that I personally really enjoyed and that's not easy to find on menus: the fisherman's delight: mixed grill (one scampi, one prawn, one white fillet) and fried anchovies, cuttlefish, and a few shrimp.
I found the combo to be a great success, with a generous portion and all the flavors of the fried and grilled seafood present. Once again, a special mention goes to the scampi, truly excellent.
I also appreciated the wine; not the usual Falanghina from the big retailers, but a bit more sophisticated, with a mineral flavor, excellent with fish. The wine list is truly extensive.
Excellent service, friendly waiters. When it came to the bill, the owner even discounted the grappa, which is always appreciated.
My only complaint: I personally would appreciate a printed menu, although I understand it can be complicated for many reasons. However, it would add that final touch of tradition that would be the icing on the cake.
I've been here before for pizza with friends, but now that I've discovered the quality of the fish, I'll be back for more.
In short, if you're looking for a real restaurant where you can eat excellent fish and where you can immediately sense that the restaurant has been a tradition for twenty years or more, this is the best restaurant in town.

30/01/2026: I never thought a pizza could be so good when cooked in an electric oven instead of a wood oven. But this place proves it! I was late to make a reservation and they were fully occupied (in winter on a Tuesday night!). But they helped us (a group of 4) to have a seat at the bar. It was also a very good experience to be there right next to the oven, watching the master to create the pizza. Definitely, a place not to miss for pizza lovers!

09/03/2026: I visited Cadauno with dear friends who frequent the restaurant regularly; for my wife and I, however, it was the first time. I found the setting to be refined and welcoming, with a pleasant atmosphere. The menu is quite varied and able to satisfy different tastes. For an appetizer, I tried their snails à la bourguignonne, which, despite being a slight reinterpretation of the classic recipe (shellless and lightly breaded), I found them to be truly delicious. In some ways, I considered the reinterpretation almost an improvement. For the second course, I couldn't help but choose their signature Spaghetti alla Giulio Cesare (Gragnano pasta with Karl Bernardi pancetta, cherry tomatoes, chili pepper, and organic Tuscan pecorino): an excellent dish, perfectly balanced. Kudos also to the wine cellar, well-stocked and with wines to suit every budget. The service was attentive and professional despite it being a Saturday night and a packed restaurant. The quality/price ratio was also excellent. I definitely think I'll be back.

I looked at the menu online and ordered over the phone, not knowing that the cloud dough was a mussel of sauce spread on a piece of baked gnocchi... my mistake, I assumed it was a more digestible type of dough and didn't ask!! But at least the menu should have been more specific... first and last time.

08/03/2026: My partner and I went for dinner expecting it to be one of the classic taverns in the lower Reggio Emilia area that we enjoy frequenting, but instead we were surprised to find an elegant and refined atmosphere.
The dishes were truly delicious, with a good wine selection and prompt, courteous service, despite the fact that there was a large event at the table that evening.

25/01/2026: There's room for improvement. After having lunch with my family and getting some ideas, I read the reviews and found some similarities, which were therefore confirmed, not just my personal tastes/thoughts.
Food: I gave it three stars.
—Appetizers: The cured meats and cheeses could have been a bit more generous for the price.
—First courses: Tagliolini with wild boar was good and plentiful. The cappelletti in broth were a bit overcooked; my daughter, who loves them, unfortunately didn't want to eat them. The tortelli verdi lacked much flavor.
—Second courses: Unfortunately, the tagliata were all cooked incorrectly. Those requested medium were overcooked and not finished. Those requested rare were medium. The fillet with balsamic vinegar, on the other hand, was cooked very well.
Service: 4 stars. The only negative is that, unfortunately, my daughter's first course arrived late. It was supposed to arrive with the appetizers, but it arrived with the first courses. Otherwise, nothing to complain about; the waiters were always attentive to our table.
Ambience: 5 stars, welcoming place
Based on this one experience, I wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't discourage it either. I'll definitely try it again, and if so, I'll update this review.
19/01/2026: No, that's definitely not the case.
Let me explain:
1) charcuterie appetizer: half a slice of prosciutto, I mean half, a tiny, tiny slice of salami, a 15cm-diameter slice of supermarket-quality mortadella, and little else;
2) a glass of wine that I didn't choose, and I didn't know what was coming beforehand. It was put directly on the table, and that was it;
3) and to finish, a poorly cooked tagliata that tasted like... NOTHING.

15/08/2025: A tastefully renovated farmhouse hides a truly excellent seafood restaurant. I had the scallops and amberjack, both excellent: perfectly cooked and with a balanced flavor balance. To finish, the cinnamon and blackberry-flavored ice cream was a touch of class. The service was attentive and friendly. Well done!
08/08/2025: If you want to eat well, you can't go wrong. The food is excellent. Claudio is always very kind and attentive to the customer's needs.

The dessert tasted homemade, and the wine was excellent.
