From the moment you park your car/scooter or arrive to the area where La Ruota is located, it feels like a different and more authentic place on the island, full of locals enjoying the last rays of sun, families and older people chatting casually on the street. The food - fantastic! We had to have another portion of the fried anchovies (alici) - they were divine! Generous portions full of flavor and taste, overall, this place is underrated and deserves the best review. Great service too - always ready with a smile and a joke! A

11/02/2025: We didn't know where to eat and they recommended this restaurant to us and I must say that it is excellent, the food is good, the waiters are polite, cordial, gentle, excellent quality and good prices, nothing exaggerated. And I recommend the polpo e patate.

15/04/2025: Last night I enjoyed a truly excellent mussel soup. The dish was rich and abundant, with a very tender octopus and very fresh seafood that released all the scent of the sea. The tasty sauce, perfect for "scarpetta", and the generous portion made the experience even more satisfying. Honest prices, high quality. I will definitely be back!

02/04/2025: A marvel! Giada and Mathias are perfect and friendly. Even as tourists, we felt like we were in an extremely welcoming environment. The food is divine, well presented and delicious. The eggplant is very special. Congratulations on the beautiful restaurant, small but huge.

They are good at preparing it Obviously, they also apply the same philosophy for first courses and meats. Excellent value for money In short, they know what to do. 25/02/2025: My husband and I came here tonight. Capri has been a little difficult as a celiac to eat. The owner was so wonderful, attentive and spoke to the chef. My husband got the special and I got this wonderful lemon pasta dish. We will come back before we leave. Thank you for the wonderful meal and experience.

04/11/2024: Scoperto per caso, tra i vicoli adiacenti la celeberrima Piazzetta di Capri, questo locale offre un eccellente pesce fresco! Nonostante ci siamo recati la domenica sera, a fine stagione, si è rivelato di qualità. Una nota particolare desidero riservarla a Gianfranco, il proprietario, persona squisita. Buona carta dei vini. Ci torneremo certamente!

19/10/2024: Nuestro restaurante favorito de nuestros nueve días en Italia! Impresionante vista al atardecer, hermoso ambiente interior y exterior, música relajante zen, comida increíble, bebidas, familia y personal! Acogedor y absolutamente maravilloso! Esto no fue solo una cena, sino una experiencia alegre! Nos recogieron cerca y nos llevaron de vuelta al centro Ana Capri.

06/10/2024: Ristorante indicato sia per gustare un ottimo aperitivo, nello splendido giardino con vista impareggiabile sul mare, che per cenare nell'elegante e ampia sala. Ottima l'accoglienza per la simpatia di Giuseppe e la gentilezza della padrona di casa Emilia.

03/04/2025: Ho mangiato una pizza. Veramente buona. Ingredienti saporiti che stavano bene con l'impasto e, dovendo tornare in futuro, riproverei sicuramente. Ma sono rimasto affascinato dai piatti dei miei vicini di tavolo. Uno spaghetto cozze e arselle con profumo di mare. Zuppa di cozze che dopo una giornata di turismo è la morte sua. Peccato solo non aver avuto abbastanza fame. Assolutamente da riprovare.

14/03/2025: Just want to say what a wonderful place this is. We arrived here on Feb 6th around 1900. We spent the day in Pompeii with our daughter and her boyfriend. They have an electric car that needed to be charged up, and we were desperate to find a charging place before we became stranded on the side of the road. We finally found a place with a few miles of charge left. We were cold and hungry, and needed to wait for the car to charge, so we just started to walk into town to look for a place to eat. Stopped here. From the outside, it looked kind of neglected and unappealing for 3 Americans and a Romanian. Boy, were we wrong! There was no inside seating, just a small patio outside, that was cold and dark. But the owner and his employees made us feel so welcome, even though we could barely communicate with one another. We ordered 3 large pizzas, and a bunch of appetizers, all for about 37 Euros. The appetizers were good, but the pizzas were fantastic. But it wasn't the food that made the stop special. It was the people working there. They saw we were cold, and came out to the patio a few minutes after we ordered with a metal coal bucket loaded with hot coals from the pizza oven! It was so awesome. After the meal, I went to pay at the counter, and the boss (maybe the owner?) started miming to me about America, each of us laughing at one another. I paid, and we were getting ready to leave, when he gestured to me to sit back down. I wasn't sure what was going on, but a few minutes later, he came out with a tray of some type of pistachio after-dinner drink for all of us. It really made our evening so special! Summary - we spent 2 weeks in Rome and the surrounding area, and ate at several high end restaurants during our stay, but our unintentional stop here was the most memorable and special time we had during our travels.

05/01/2025: rustic and special environment that seems like a typical Neapolitan pizzeria (in fact it is) ... pizza? very good with an excellent dough and an immense variety of flavors and with the possibility of making half the pizza one flavor and the other part another flavor, things that many pizzerias don't do... advice and what can I say top 1️⃣

07/01/2025: Nos sentamos en la terraza para cenar y esta fue la mejor comida de nuestro viaje. La comida y el servicio era excelente. El clima se había vuelto salvaje y tormentoso, así que nos movimos a cubierto y luego los cielos se abrieron. Algunos comensales tuvieron que moverse dentro, pero tuvimos suerte y nos quedamos secos. Terminamos charlando con unos cuantos otros y disfrutamos de limoncello en la casa. Es un entorno encantador junto a la playa también. El resto de nuestra estancia tuvo un sol glorioso.
