A quiet, simple, and elegant restaurant where, above all, I found what I was looking for: authentic dishes, flavors as intact as I remember them as a southern Italian living abroad! Quality cuisine, abundant and rich in flavor, and fresh fish that melts in your mouth...a true royal feast for the taste buds! Delightful service, genuine workers dedicated to the passion of running a restaurant and being able to be proud of customer satisfaction! Even the complimentary coffee...a small gesture that fills the heart! Thank you for this delicious dinner; my 9-year-old daughter was truly impressed!

i went here 3 times in my vacation and it was an amazing experience. the food was soo good, especially the spaghetti with seafood and lasagna also the tiramisu was amazing. if u ever come to naples, you should come and visit them because its worth it.

Review in English and Italian: This restaurant was really great! The food was excellent and the service was absolutely the best!!! Mrs. Tina is such a nice woman! This was the only place I ate dinner while I stayed in Naples. When I return to Naples, I plan to come here again. This restaurant is the best! The food is delicious and the service is the best! We've been several times and it was always busy. So we had dinner one weekday evening. The restaurant is simple, the menu offers many dishes at very affordable prices. The service is attentive and efficient. We had a pleasant time; it's a shame we were only passing through. In conclusion, a restaurant with a good reputation.

You have to venture right into the heart of Naples' old town to find a family-run trattoria whose menu still features prices reminiscent of the pre-euro era. With the redevelopment of the vast Piazza Garibaldi in front of Naples' main train station, the former no-go zone has transformed into a vibrant district with decent hotels and a shopping center in the station's basement. Trattoria Avellinese on Via Silvio Spaventa, one of the side streets off the large piazza, attracts not only tourists from the surrounding hotels but also residents of the Mercato district. And it has been doing so since 1928, making it one of the oldest and most traditional restaurants in the Mercato area. Online reviews highlight the "simple dishes, but made with the best and freshest ingredients." Instead of background music, the soundscape consists of the neighborhood's nightlife: the sound of a television here, a moped there, a plane climbing steeply over this fascinating city... The strong point is the price. The food is simple, home-style, and unpretentious. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is friendly. The six of us spent €60 each, including a dish and water. Very convenient for the station.

05/08/2026: We stumbled upon this place almost by chance while watching the sunset at Due Golfi! We arrived at 9 pm without any lines or parking problems. The food was delicious, although it took a little while, but nothing that spoiled our enjoyment! 100% recommended! The view was incredible and it was surprisingly cool for the middle of summer!
03/08/2026: Looking for a nice spot with a view for a delicious dinner, the Piana delle Ginestre restaurant was definitely the best option. The private parking was very convenient given the busy street. The location is truly beautiful and offers a breathtaking view. Getting a table near the balcony really added to the experience. The menu offers a variety of meat and seafood options, and the waiter (perhaps the manager) was able to give us excellent recommendations. Unfortunately, there was a lot of confusion with our orders during the service; we only realized after leaving that we had also paid for a fried dish that was never served. Aside from the manager, the other staff seemed a bit lost. Prices and product quality were average, with a special mention for the mixed platter, which was truly excellent. I would still recommend it and will gladly return, hoping for a more attentive service.

28/06/2026: We returned to this restaurant after trying their excellent pizza a few weeks ago, and because of our excellent impression, we decided to stop by for lunch this time. What can I say... it was a confirmation in every way. Everything was impeccable, and I say this as a rather demanding person. The wait staff was extremely kind, professional, and always attentive to the guests' needs, without ever being intrusive. The seafood first courses were plentiful, prepared with the freshest ingredients and rich in flavor. The fried fish really deserved a special mention: light, crispy, and indescribably delicious, a clear sign of the quality and freshness of the fish. The appetizers also won us over: fresh, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. You can sense the care taken in selecting the ingredients and in the attention paid to each course. The restaurant is clean, tidy, and organized down to the smallest detail. We also greatly appreciated the comfort of the environment: despite the 38 degrees Celsius outside, the climate inside was perfect, allowing us to enjoy lunch in complete tranquility. A special thanks also goes to the owner, who greeted us with great courtesy and a smile, making us feel truly welcome. Overall, we were all completely satisfied with the experience. When a restaurant manages to combine quality food, professional staff, and customer service, it definitely deserves a recommendation. We will definitely be back very soon, this time for dinner. Congratulations to all the staff, and keep up the good work ☺️
