It deserves all the awards it's won over the years: perfectly cooked pizza, light and well-topped, friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere with street performers who come in to sing or perform. We'll definitely be back, highly recommended!

Considering the restaurant's reputation and prices, I expected a whole different experience.
The service was rushed: they snatched our plates from under our noses before we'd even finished, almost making us feel like we were in the way.
But the biggest disappointment was the food. I ordered spaghetti with seafood, which cost a whopping €40, and unfortunately, the flavor was completely covered by the peppers: you could barely taste the seafood.
For a restaurant considered among the best in Naples, I expected much more attention to both the service and the quality of the dishes. The quality-price ratio definitely didn't live up to its reputation.
I feel sorry for the owner because he's a good guy.

01/06/2026: We visited the restaurant twice. The service was perfect, the food fantastic, and the selection excellent. It was the best meal we've had in Italy in recent years. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy fine Italian cuisine. Reservations are strongly advised!

04/05/2026: I went to Esperia this evening for my birthday dinner, and I was quite disappointed. The location was breathtaking, but the food absolutely couldn't compete. We started off quite well with an appetizer consisting of various tastings—nothing exceptional, but good. As for the entrees, things took a turn for the worse, with a truly unpleasant nerano and a tasteless tagliolini with butter and truffle. The dessert was also nothing to write home about. It's a shame because the restaurant itself is truly beautiful and the service is good.
03/05/2026: A very elegant restaurant with a breathtaking view from the terrace, where you can dine. The food is truly delicious; the appetizers are highly recommended. The first courses are also excellent (I had the Genovese), and the grilled meats are varied and high-quality. The restaurant is part of the Slow Food network. The wine list is also very good, and the service is impeccable. The quality-price ratio is excellent.

09/08/2026: Very cute ambiance and great service. The Spaghettone alla Nerano and Chef’s Special (gnocchi with cozze and green chilis) were so fresh and tasty. Both were also not too heavy. The appetizers are also very good. Highly recommend!
06/08/2026: I have nothing to complain about for the few things I ordered. I'll definitely come back and get more, so I can eventually keep up the 5-star rating. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
