09/01/2024: I don't recommend it, it's a cramped place... I ordered a complete menu and my wife, not being able to eat different foods, asked for a salad and in response the waiter told us in a very arrogant tone that you couldn't order just a side dish you had to add either an appetizer or a first course or a second course. I explained my wife's health reasons and
of my choice but he didn't care so much so I had to add a first course. My wife felt bad following this choice. We didn't leave immediately, only because we had already enjoyed the drinks and bread. I advise you against it, in fact we strongly advise against it. We understand business but not at the expense of people's health.

25/02/2024: Vera cucina greca. Proprietario greco. Piatti, vini, birre, liquori, tutto rigorosamente greco. Servizio, igiene, gentilezza del gestore, tutto impeccabile. Se prendete antipasto, secondo, bevande, dolci e grappa spenderete sui 30/40 euro a persona.

17/02/2024: We are a couple and we brought our dog with us. They treated our dog like any customer, putting him and making us feel at ease. The owners are also dog lovers.
Very traditional cuisine and everything with great attention to detail and above all delicious. Truly exceptional value for money!

11/02/2024: I was invited to a birthday party on a quiet evening... with my friends we went out for a cigarette. Upon returning the bouncers with an arrogant tone won't let my friends in anymore, you pay and you also have to meet outside the door.... I believe that embarrassing things happen then... we need a little more humility in life...

12/03/2024: Posto molto rustico e carino, in una grotta. Lo chef è sicuramene al di sopra della media. Tradizione mantenuta, ma il tutto con dei tocchi di classe inaspettati.
04/02/2024: Ristorante collocato in una bellissima grotta nei sassi di Matera, piuttosto rustico ma accogliente, il personale di servizio è stato molto cortese e sollecito. Le pietanze sono quelle della tradizione, buoni il vino della casa e il tris di primi, ottima la tagliata. Prezzo giusto.

23/01/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante il 21 gennaio durate un piccolo soggiorno a Matera.
Locale molto intimo pochi posti a sedere ma cucina a dir poco fantastica.
Abbiamo gustato i loro antipasto uno più buono dell altro e poi carne di Podologa alla brace e costine di agnello in padella. Tutto veramente buono e di qualità.
Ci ritorneremo presto

14/01/2024: Very nice and characteristic room created in the stones, nice experience. Sleeping among the rocks. Studio apartment also equipped with all kitchen accessories, fridge, oven, etc. Very kind and welcoming owner and staff. Good breakfast with different types of homemade desserts and many other sweet and savory options. Thank you. I would only remove the hydromassage tub very slippery, I would just use a nice shower. x . the rest is fine. thanks again.
13/01/2024: Structure: very nice hotel, with large and well-furnished rooms, perhaps a little dated, well heated, equipped with everything you need: fridge, stove, toiletries, towels, extra pillow, etc. The rooms are carved into the stone. I personally haven't encountered the damp smell complained about in many reviews: I'd say it's the smell of tuff, but it's also normal, being in a Sasso. However it's not annoying, after a while you can't even hear it anymore.
Location: the hotel is very central, it is a little elevated, but by going down in two minutes you reach the main road, so an excellent location.
Breakfast: it is equipped with homemade desserts and a savory part, which is very rich, and you can also request anything at the bar. Truly exceptional.
Service: the owner is nice, even if he can seem a bit grumpy, and the guy at the reception/bar is also very helpful. We had a problem and they solved it for us late at night, so availability is 24 hours a day.
Overall, I recommend this property.

14/01/2024: Excellent piadina, freshly made, good flavor and good consistency. Extensive menu which also includes watercress and many filling possibilities. The service is relatively fast.
The gentleman who takes the orders is a bit confusing and gets lost in the chatter, but luckily the guys in the kitchen are attentive and prepare the right thing for you. 😁
The place seems very small, but you can also eat inside and it has a bathroom.
Nearby there is a corner with an appreciable view of the Sassi.
