12/03/2026: A truly delightful restaurant in the center of Macerata. A welcoming and well-kept place with a warm, traditional atmosphere. The dishes are well-prepared, and the quality of the ingredients is evident.
The highlight is definitely the extensive wine selection: a truly impressive cellar with many labels to choose from. I found a truly delicious 2021 organic Sangiovese here—a wonderful discovery.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, even recommending the perfect wine to pair with the dishes. A very positive experience, highly recommended.

01/02/2026: We chose Contrada to celebrate our son's 6th birthday. The place is welcoming, the staff wonderful, and the food was plentiful and high-quality.
Even though it was FRIENDS' SUNDAY and there were a lot of people, everything was handled exemplarily.
With the tasting menu or à la carte, they manage to satisfy every need. The service is young and impeccable, attentive to everything. In a time when I paid €100 for a pizza for two and a cutlet for a child, it seems like a dream to have an excellent, mouth-watering lunch for a much lower price.
We will definitely return to Paolo and his family, because restaurants like this are rare these days.

14/07/2025: I've been to this gelateria once and really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly, the gelato scoops weren't overly large but offered a wide variety of flavors, and above all, they were good, though not all were perfect. The prices are reasonable, though whipped cream could be included.
The place is cute, and the view of the square is pleasant. Overall, a good experience, though not perfect. I recommend trying it if you're in the area.

They were kind enough to accommodate us with some non-fish dishes, off the menu.
Too bad about the lady serving us... when she took our orders, she was clearly annoyed by our group (perhaps because we didn't order the tasting menu?).
When we finally asked IF IT WAS POSSIBLE to pay separately, she responded, "Don't do that to me," with her arms outstretched, annoyed, and headed toward the dining room.
Well, thank you, we felt truly welcomed, ma'am!
P.S. On the other hand, the other gentleman who brought our dishes was very kind and smiling.
...Sometimes a smile is more important than the dish itself.
30/01/2026: I was lucky enough to eat at Capriccio degli dei for New Year's Eve dinner, and it was truly a blessing! The dinner was all seafood, and it was delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh and cooked simply and perfectly, with perfect results! You could taste the freshness of the fish in all its deliciousness. I've rarely eaten so well. I highly recommend it.

13/05/2026: The staff are friendly and it's definitely an excellent gelato shop, but I'd like to point out something for those truly looking for lactose-free options. Online, they advertise vegan/lactose-free flavors, which made me think they'd also find some dedicated creams. In reality, when I went, only the classic fruit and dark chocolate flavors were available, which almost all gelato shops offer these days. It would be helpful to specify this more clearly, so as to avoid different expectations for those with intolerances or looking for more choice.

11/09/2025: For a few weeks now, it's become our favorite Wednesday restaurant. Excellent service and delicious food. Short wait times and reasonable prices. We recommend the boccolotti with ribs.
07/09/2025: I discovered this restaurant by chance, as it's a trattoria with limited seating (you ALWAYS need to reserve). Some details are surprising, starting with the superlative welcome from the owner and the lady who manages the tables, and then the sheer disbelief when you realize how, with such a miniaturized cooking station, the owner manages to cook (perfectly) all the meat dishes served in the restaurant.
It's a charming and very informal atmosphere, with outdoor tables when the weather permits, and indoors in the winter.
And what about the good food?
All I can say is...try it and believe it!

04/01/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance—we were waiting for the ferry from Ancona to Igoumenitsa and looking for a place to eat during the day. I'm not a pizza fan, but the pizza there is simply fantastic! Especially the truffle ones! The owner is very positive and talkative. It's a shame we couldn't speak Italian with him.

13/08/2025: When I come to unload milk at the Marche farms, it's a regular stop. The coffee is simply wonderful, creamy and full-bodied, as it should be everywhere, not like at a service station, which is similar to dirty water. Cleanliness, in addition to the attached supermarket, cream-filled doughnuts and superior pastries. In short, besides the kindness of the lady, her husband, and the sales assistant, a five-star rating is not enough. Prices are more than fair and quality is excellent.
