12/04/2026: Amazing experience, hands down the best restaurant in como, the quality of the food combined with the extraordinary views makes it totally worth it. Very friendly people, service was excellent, we only came to the mountain to eat here. Will definitely come back in our next trip!

07/04/2026: We had lunch at the restaurant. The staff was friendly. When they found out we were celebrating a birthday, they went out of their way to welcome us with a song and sparkling wine. 🔝

The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The hotel is charming and has potential for improvement. The rooms are a bit small, but adequate if you're mostly out and about. Everything is a little dated, but perfectly fine.
The breakfast is typical Italian fare, which we loved, but might be a bit challenging for serious breakfast eaters.
Unfortunately, everything in the area is a bit pricey.
Como, Milan, and other cities are easily accessible by public transport or car.

If you're looking for a quiet place, go and admire the view, but I recommend eating elsewhere.
Highly rude staff, mediocre food.
Unfortunately, I agree with other customers' reviews: the place has a lot of potential, but the management is shoddy.
Not recommended.

15/02/2026: Breathtaking lake views and a warm welcome. Despite the availability of parking, I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day for a walk with the dogs. It was a bit of a climb on the way back, but it was absolutely enjoyable. I'm grateful for the hospitality and the possibility of having a table that was also comfortable for the dogs (since I'm a Mastiff). As a vegetarian, I had no problem choosing from the menu, despite its concise nature. The location was pleasant, and the lunch was delicious, with a simple and authentic atmosphere. I'll gladly return!

22/03/2026: A very nice place, but it's not easy to get there due to the road being very narrow in several places. Alternatively, you can take the funicular and then walk about 2 km. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is good. A bit overpriced considering that most of the ingredients used are traditional peasant fare—polenta, potatoes, etc.—the fried food basket in particular, at €16 for a handful of chips, three sciatt, and three taroz, is truly a lot.

17/04/2026: We stumbled upon an absolutely fantastic authentic Italian restaurant nestled in the hills of Como and it completely stole our hearts. From the very first moment, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile and an incredibly positive energy that fills the entire place.The food?Its beyond any scale of comparison. Both the pasta and the pizza are simply outstanding. I’m so impressed that if I had to choose my last meal ever… it would without a doubt be the carbonara from this restaurant. itruly love this place for its flavors, its atmosphere, and the amazing energy of the owner. Highly recommended

14/06/2025: Vinimos al Bellavista para cenar en nuestra primera noche en Brunate por recomendación de nuestros anfitriones AirBnB, y tuvimos una noche perfecta. El Bellavista es un encantador edificio histórico situado en la parte superior del funicular Brunate, con una vista espectacular desde el restaurante sobre el lago y el valle de abajo. Puede sentarse a su mesa dentro del restaurante junto a las ventanas abiertas mirando hacia fuera mientras come platos locales realmente encantadores - ravioles de percha, lasaña de jabalí, quesos locales y panna cotta y merengues para terminar. Si hubiéramos tenido más tiempo, habríamos venido aquí una segunda vez.
13/06/2025: Disfrutamos de un excelente almuerzo con una hermosa vista del lago de Como. Afortunadamente pudieron llevarnos como un paseo, pero una reserva sería prudente para garantizar una mesa con vistas. La comida y el servicio eran excelentes, y los precios eran muy razonables. Una gran opción para el almuerzo o la cena en Como!

We were greeted with a smile and seated on the terrace!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal!
I highly recommend this place; it has everything you could want in a restaurant!

10/01/2026: The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the restrooms were clean, the view was stunning, and the manager was lovely😍
05/01/2026: The food was good without being exceptional, some portions were generous (lavender risotto, perhaps a little too buttery), others less so (wild boar and braised beef with polenta, the meat was a bit sparse). I would like to make an observation, however, without being argumentative, but I recommend learning more about the names of the dishes... When asked what type of polenta they served, they told us "polenta taragna." I asked, "So with cheese?" And the answer was no... In fact, the polenta was cheese-free, classic yellow polenta. Polenta taragna is made with a mix of flours that make it darker, and is topped with butter and cheese.

23/07/2025: We went to this café for breakfast today... Excellent, we tried the almond cake... excellent, compliments to the pastry chef.
We also bought various souvenirs, the prices were reasonable, and the lady was courteous and kind.
A truly beautiful place.

29/09/2025: Something has gotten out of hand... probably the large influx of tourists with deep pockets ascending to Brunate by funicular or taxi has meant that even these types of huts, considered rustic and the preserve of a few hikers until 15-20 years ago, are now enjoying a golden age, boasting menus priced like those of a downtown restaurant. Prices that would be partially justified if the refuge were located at 2,000 meters with no access road, but I repeat, "anything goes"... good for them while it lasts... :-)
27/07/2025: Shabby but charming with an absolutely ~spectacular~ view, and ok breakfast as well. For me the smell (especially in the toilettes) and the rats in the walls are the reasons we won’t be coming back.
