Authentic and priceless atmosphere overlooking the lake, also excellent in winter for dining with friends in front of the lit fireplace!

05/01/2025: By chance we ended up having lunch after visiting the lighthouse, we discovered a genuine, informal, clean and tidy place.
Large room with comfortable tables well spaced between them.
Quick, informal but attentive service.
The dishes are excellent, the polenta and tagliatelle are delicious, as are the fresh desserts of the day, even the delicious fresh bread is made on site.
The environment is reminiscent of that typical of mountain resorts.
If you are looking for a bit of tranquility away from the worldliness of the center of Como to savor genuine flavours, this is the place for you!
Prices are also low and far from those of the city.
Highly recommended!!!

17/11/2024: After a 50 minutes walk from como we had a drink and lunch here. Super friendly people and great food and drinks. The sunny terrace looks out over the mountains so you have this amazing beautiful view. We really enjoyed spending time here, thank you so much :)

01/09/2024: Just the most delightful late summer’s dinner overlooking the lake. We loved the service almost as much as the setting - Mercedes, Nicole and Momo were lovely and friendly and we had a great chat. Food was gorgeous. A special recommendation for this place !
30/08/2024: Mamagina Café and Bistrot was one of the highlights of our visit to Lake Como. The major asset of this restaurant is undoubtedly the spectacular view of the lake from its high terrace. Dining with such a breathtaking view made our experience truly special. In addition to the view, we were delighted by the quality of the dishes, which combine Italian tradition and creativity. The service was attentive and warm, which added an even more pleasant touch to our evening. If you are looking for a place to enjoy a great meal while enjoying a wonderful view of Lake Como, look no further!

25/12/2024: As a family we spent Christmas lunch at the Polenteria. We were greeted with a warm welcome.
We really liked the place, attention to detail was taken care of... we breathed the air of home straight away.
The meat-based Christmas menu, passed with flying colors. The staff proved to be welcoming, efficient and punctual with requests. We appreciated the greeting from the chef who stopped by our table twice to ask us how we were continuing with lunch. Another significant detail? They prepared a bowl of water for our dog.
Recommended for those who embrace simplicity and tradition.
Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back! ♥️

06/01/2025: Beautiful experience! Four of us showed up to have a snack / aperitif and we were welcomed and served with professionalism and courtesy in a truly welcoming place. The waitresses were very kind and helpful (in particular, we were served by Carol and Alessandra). Everything was excellent, from the drinks to the platter of cold cuts and cheeses.
We will undoubtedly return for lunch or dinner, from the menu the dishes look delicious.

02/01/2025: We ate on January 1st in this very welcoming and warm place, we felt really good. A beautiful, very Christmassy atmosphere. Attentive service with very friendly staff. Excellent dishes, I personally ate ossubucho with polenta, very good, the pizza (pinsa) was also excellent, fair prices. Definitely coming back. Thank you all.

21/12/2024: In my opinion very touristy, with crazy prices.
In 4 people plus 1 child, we ate a shared starter plus a dish each and house wine for a total of €50 each, too much for what we ate. For example, another person and I had a plate of polenta with sauce, two pieces of sausage (5 cm) and a small square of meat (boiled type), the other 2 had a first course with sauce and mushrooms.
Cold but polite service.
16/12/2024: Excellent restaurant, the best in Brunate. Family run, very kind staff, incredible view of Como and the lake. They make typical dishes revisited with special ingredients (blueberries, lake fish, truffles). The polenta with wild boar, dish of the day, is delicious. Prices a little high though.

The warm hospitality of Nicola and his family made our visit even more memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a delightful time.
