Just went there to eat something. The food was ok but the service was interesting. The owner or chief was pushing us to order the most expensive food that there was and was disappointed when we didn’t! And for the drinks there, they were way too expensive! If you want to stop there to get something to eat it’s great but not the best

Excellent staff, very delicious food. The location is great, right on the way to the hiking trail, with relatively few tourists. Truly the best restaurant in Italy I have experienced.

Well🙂↔️ Owner was very nice and helpful..... I liked the old little rough italian enviroment....but thats what i want from iltaly, what i dont want is middle eastern friends shouting and demanding arab music to play at the restaurant and when i tried to relax in my room roomcleaner played arab music from boom box (headphones?!?) in a hallway.....

Had a really great experience at Locanda Milano 1873. The food was delicious, with authentic Italian flavors and high-quality ingredients, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to enjoy a relaxed lunch/dinner.
What impressed me the most was their honesty and kindness. I accidentally left my bag with my wallet inside at the restaurant, and when I called the next day, they had safely kept it for me. I really appreciated this gesture, as it shows how trustworthy and professional the staff are.
I would definitely recommend this place.

We stayed at this hotel in April 2026. It's very well located in a unique area of Brunate, in the hills above Como, very close to the funicular that takes you down to Como on the lake. The room was clean and the staff were very attentive.

This restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip we took the Funicolore from Como had an amazing Osso Buco with risotto meal. An Italian family was celebrating an elder gentlemen’s birthday. We had a lovely Italian mean with music, dancing, and it was only 2 PM! Highly recommend the food was amazing and the service.
