01/04/2024: Maybe the best spot in Bellagio...but the quality and service did not create any hurrayees. And damn it's difficult to find a taxi back to Como.

03/04/2024: Sweet restaurant near the ferry port. Would say is on the pricier range but the quality of the food is certainly worth it. Staff were nice and attentive. We also stayed in the apartments above which were delightful, with a lovely view of the lake.

01/04/2024: The place is well kept and very stylish. The service is cordial and professional. Unfortunately the food is not at its best as might be expected from the atmosphere and the price tag.

22/10/2023: Worst pizza ever had in Italy. It's a fast food pizzeria, didn't expect much but it is Italy, it should have been better. Tiramisu, don't even think of ordering it 🤮

05/12/2023: I must confess that I love sunsets. The Riverside is a kiosk located in Bellagio at the mouth of the Perlo stream. The watercourse has formed a natural beach, obviously made of stones like almost all the beaches on the lake. You can swim (not without a pair of rock shoes, due to the rocks), there is a floating platform for diving and a pier for mooring boats. The panorama is remarkable because you can see Villa Melzi, the village of Bellagio, the center of the lake, Cadenabbia, Villa Carlotta, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo up to Punta Balbianello. Behind, on the other side of the lake, the mountains with spring waters, among which I would like to point out Mount Tremezzo (known as Crocione) and Mount Grona, where a beautiful refuge worthy of a walk stands out: the Menaggio refuge. For those who stop at the beach, the Riverside offers plastic deckchairs (10 euros) and all the refreshments of a bar, from a bottle of water to an aperitif and a light meal. The best thing is to come late, to enjoy the sunset behind the mountains. The staff is kind and friendly, with an open, Milanese courtesy, so different from the suspicious reluctance of the true Bellagini (now almost everywhere replaced by foreigners, at least on the front line). The sore point are the prices, worthy of a white glove bar in the square in Bellagio (or Venice), even if the context is that of a beach of gray pebbles like those of an open-air quarry, but I like it anyway , especially at sunset (I told you that, yes).

05/10/2023: Great food and service in a prime and peaceful location. My mother and I had a lovely meal - autumn starter to share (melon, prosciutto, mozzarella and figs). Duck and Sea Bream special for mains and Tiramisu. Good red wine. The food, service and location were all 10/10. Thank you.

02/10/2023: Ordered the specials- Mullet Fish. Great view of the Piazza in the alfresco seating. Traditional risotto and carbonara was great too. Closed at 4 pm.

19/10/2023: In diesem Strassencafe an der Promenade in der Nähe des Schiffsanlegers hatten wir am frühen Abend Espresso (EUR 3.-) & Drinks (EUR 10.-/12.-), die in Ordnung waren, ebenso der Service, jedoch nichts Besonderes, man beobachtet die Flanierenden und die vermutlich einen selbst.

30/09/2023: The best meal I had in Italy after a week, including the Italian Riviera area. Just wonderfully thought out, executed, and delivered. The poached egg with truffle and the stuffed veal cheek were outstanding, as was the service and, of course, the view. The scallops were also great, and the tuna crudo. A great sensibility to the food and, again, exceptional service. Much appreciated!

29/01/2024: The classic village meeting place, ideal for having a coffee or a sweet (delicious cakes) or savory snack (also gluten-free and lactose-free). Friendly and smiling staff. Also spacious to move around with a wheelchair

26/10/2023: Excellent food and service, additional To the relax environment. Attention to detail but the most important is the quality and flavor of food, we ordered a pasta with lobster and a lasagna with a delicious salad that was extremely delicious. Definitely a place to visit and take a lunch or dinner. We visited late October and was a rainy day, but the restaurant terrace was very warm and charming. 💯 percent recommended.

08/10/2023: The atmosphere of the restaurant was very cold and boring. The tables are very simple and in general the setting is not pleasant. I ordered a Terrine as starter and although the taste wasn't bad, it didn't seem fresh. The food is ok in general. nothing special.

05/11/2023: Wonderful food, excellent service, good wine recommendations. Such a pleasant evening spent here. The service and food were particularly good. Complimentary lemoncello afterward. Would eat here again!

05/04/2024: Elegant but somewhat tired hotel with nice enough rooms . No coffee/tea service in the room. There is a thermostat in the room but it doesn’t work. All heat and AC is controlled by the front desk. Beds are just ok. Breakfast is not bad. Location is perfect, otherwise this would be three stars.

30/03/2024: Such a bad experience with the bed that we left a day early. The “double” beds were two twins pushed together, which I’ve experienced before and though it’s not my preference, I was at least expecting it. What I was not expecting was for the mattresses to be as hard as a box spring in the middle and sloped on the sides so that the few times I was able to sleep, I awoke just before I was about to tip into a canyon formed between the two beds. I was also not expecting that the bedding given would be one top sheet and one light, decorative blanket, neither of which were warm enough for an 8 C/47 F degree, rainy night in March. Though there is a thermostat in the room, which gives you the illusion of control, any attempt to change the temperature is disallowed. So, a hot shower (which was thankfully warm, with great pressure) was my only mid-night recourse. In top of that, any sound from the hallways carries into the rooms. I don’t believe anyone was trying to be particularly noisy (and maybe I was more susceptible to the noise because I couldn’t sleep) but there were many times when groups came back from drinks or dinner around midnight and guests began to take their luggage down to the boats at 6am, that every sound traveled from hallway to bedroom. The location is right on the waterfront, and the breakfast was adequate. Hotel is dated in many ways, but I think I would have considered it charming if the bed was usable. No amount of charm could make up for spending 390 Euros to sleep and being unable to do so. We ate the cost of a second night so that we could leave before we’d have to stay there again. If I could go back in time, I wish I would not have booked that hotel.

06/04/2024: I don't know what we liked more, the food, or the treatment of the staff at this restaurant. Bravo! In addition, the views of the lake are wonderful from its terrace.
