Honest, decent dishes, the seafood risotto was very good, and the desserts were excellent. It's a shame, because the staff is worth it, but the kitchen's timing needs to be reconsidered."

23/11/2025: For several years now, every time I go to Sarzana, I make a regular stop at this place. The pizza, and not only that, is spectacular. In particular, they use soy-based doughs, but also aloe, which are very light and very digestible. They have a huge selection and often make special versions dedicated to particular products, some seasonal, like fresh porcini mushrooms or caramelized onions. The farinata and desserts, many of which are homemade, are also excellent. A real must-try.

23/03/2026: A very intimate and well-kept restaurant in the center of Sarzana! The dishes are exquisite; the slightly spicy raw fish is one of the best I've ever tasted. The portions are generous! The staff is attentive and friendly! Highly recommended.

14/12/2025: We went there for lunch on the son's recommendation. The portions were generous, the flavors delicious, and the fish tortelli were superb. The staff was very kind and friendly, albeit very busy. We had a small problem with the battered vegetables that accompanied the fried fish; they never arrived, and the fried fish itself was smaller than the others we'd seen. But the staff and the owner were able to make up for it in the best possible way, with a sincere smile of apology and without offering a complimentary dessert.

03/05/2026: Always excellent, prices have gone up a bit, but still competitive. I've been going there for years, and it never disappoints. In the historic center, a beautiful location. A must-see in Sarzana.

21/04/2026: Good food, terrible service, to finish the dinner I had to go and look for the waiters and ask them to come and serve us, they were tidying up the room, not caring about the customers who remained on the veranda!

06/04/2026: We arrived without a reservation on our return to Venice. We knew the place and wanted to return, hoping for luck at finding a table and bringing our friends... Very kind lady. Fast and helpful service... Excellent food... homemade... The tortellini in broth... the trio of first courses... you can tell everything is homemade... from the pasta to the sauce... the lamb and the beef steak were superb (finally meat that tastes like meat... super flavorful). We also took home the pesto they made because it was excellent... thank you so much for your kindness. A big hug and see you soon 💪💪

06/04/2026: La Scaletta is a classic, historic trattoria that never disappoints: authentic cuisine, quality ingredients, and a wealth of tradition in its dishes. The portions are generous and the preparation is meticulous. The pesto is truly excellent, the tortelli al ragù are fantastic, and the main courses are also top-notch, always well-executed and flavorful. The atmosphere is typical of a trattoria, simple and welcoming, perfect for those seeking the flavors of yesteryear. The only slightly less positive aspect is the price, which has increased in recent years on several dishes. It's still a good place, however, and the food is very good. Overall, a great experience, definitely recommended.

It’s the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly enjoyable stay.

18/04/2026: I stayed at the property with my family and it was a wonderful experience in every way: the welcome was warm and efficient, the accommodations in a family apartment were truly spacious with 32 cm thick mattresses that were very comfortable, even on the sofa bed, which actually doubles as a double bed. We also had dinner a couple of times, and the menu varied every evening and was generously portioned. We chose it for its convenient location for visiting the Cinque Terre (La Spezia is about 30 minutes away), but we will definitely return to visit the beautiful Lunigiana, which we still know little about. I would like to thank Mrs. Stella again for her kindness.
