28/11/2025: I was skeptical, but I had to change my mind... mixed seafood appetizer, very good and trenette felicetti with seafood, very good and so were the desserts... excellent service and kindness

30/10/2025: An excellent gastronomic experience. Each course is prepared with great attention to detail and tastefully presented. The service is courteous and prompt, and the atmosphere is refined yet welcoming. A must-visit for those who love good food.

05/11/2025: My husband and I ate here on our first night in Monterosso on October 27, 2025 and we both agreed that it was the best food we have ever had. We ordered the baked sea bass and it was beyond amazing. It was simple as far as preparation, but the flavors were complex and the fish cooked to perfection. The young man who deboned our fish at table side was so very sweet and quite good at his task. If we ever are lucky enough to return to Italy, Ristorante Ciak will be on our must visit list.

31/10/2025: We stayed in Monterosso twice over the past few years and ate at Ciak every night. The food, service and atmosphere is amazing.

23/08/2025: A truly welcoming establishment, with a very friendly owner who explained the various amenities in the area to us. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was very generous for a 2-star hotel. Excellent parking, and there's even a spare one (in case the first one is full). The hotel itself also has a bar with a tobacconist and a ticket office for the bus that takes you down to Framura and various nearby places. There's also an excellent restaurant below the hotel with divine food. We'll be back.

15/02/2025: Impeccable staff. Gessica is very kind, helpful, and friendly. The dishes are different from the classic Italian all-you-can-eat sushi. The gunkan soy spicy tuna is excellent. The atmosphere is clean and informal, and the service is fast. Highly recommended!

25/10/2025: Very disappointed. Prices are too high. You can't afford to pay 15 for a pizza, as if it were a gourmet pizzeria. Spending 110 euros for 5 people, just with water and 2 desserts, is a real rip-off that wasn't worth it. Very kind staff and cleanliness too. We're in the Cisa variant, not in Portovenere. Lower the prices on all fronts. In my opinion.

Qui la cucina non si limita a soddisfare il palato: racconta, emoziona, avvolge. Si inizia con gli antipasti, un vero e proprio omaggio alla tradizione Ligure-Toscana. Ogni assaggio è un’eco autentica del territorio, capace di evocare storie di confine, di colline che scendono al mare e di ricette custodite nel tempo. È un inizio che accarezza, preparando il palato con eleganza e calore. Il primo piatto è una vera rivelazione: gli spaghetti ai frutti di mare sono eseguiti con maestria, in un equilibrio perfetto tra la sapidità del mare e la delicatezza della pasta al dente. 08/12/2025: Rude staff, ribs brought to the table cold only because we arrived at 2.30pm and the place closes at 3pm.

05/12/2025: We only received half of our order and are still waiting for the second half, after a delay of more than 30 minutes to an hour. The food arrived cold, and the experience was unacceptable. Terrible service, both from the restaurant and Deliveroo. Absolutely avoid.

04/11/2025: Nice location right on the sea, fresh fish, well-presented dishes, super efficient staff, excellent value for money.

02/11/2025: I didn't like the quality/price ratio. It was 50/60 euros, and they even made a mistake in the bill by charging an extra bottle of wine.

08/11/2025: And we did it again....we tried to return after previous negative experiences because the place and the food are not bad at all, in terms of quality we have always eaten well but I think you have to be able to interact with people. The last few times we've always waited hours to eat, with endless waits. Tonight we booked early and they told us that "we had to be quick because they had a large table at 9 pm." My response was, "It's fine for us, as long as you guys are quick." We arrived at 7:20 pm. The place was half empty, there were 3 of us (2 adults and a child). We ordered a children's menu and 2 pizzas. My pizza arrived 30 minutes later. After 2 requests to the waiter, my son's pasta arrived. After another 20 minutes, my husband's pizza arrived. We complained to the waiters, the owner arrived and didn't apologize. Instead, she told us that we shouldn't get angry and that the cook had simply thrown away the order. ABSURD. It won't change the owners' lives, but one thing is certain: we'll never go back.

26/10/2025: Home made Food and very friendly staff

02/11/2025: Beware, unruly and aggressively violent staff! After climbing the stairs from the station, we passed this little restaurant. It looked nice and cozy, but afterward, we deeply regretted sitting there. We had ordered various drinks and food, and we had ordered water for our two small dogs. When we gave our dogs water, we were attacked by a waiter. He said we were dirty people and that dogs aren't equal to people. In other words, the dogs deserve tap water instead of bottled water. We then asked for the bill and canceled our food. The waiter wanted to argue with us, which I didn't want to do. While paying, I briefly left the table. Then the waiter decided to curse my wife and spit at her. I decided to say something, and the waiter then came after me with a broken bottle and attacked me with it. The waiter used force and tore off some jewelry. Fortunately, the owner intervened afterward, and the waitress was dismissed. Because we're "unfortunately" tourists, the police won't do much about this. The owner offered us free food, but we declined for our safety and that of the dogs. We didn't get our money back, and no compensation was given for my broken jewelry. Unfortunately, the waitress in question wasn't fired; this was due to a lack of staff. That's why I say, beware of this restaurant!

20/09/2025: As in almost all Ligurian restaurants, the staff is rude, lazy and pissed off when taking and delivering orders.

17/09/2025: Not 101 different flavors, but I did enjoy some super delicious ice cream. The price of €2.75 for two scoops is cheap by Dutch standards. Scoops with truly intense flavors.

21/09/2025: The place located in the center of Sarzana is very welcoming as is the kind and trained staff who with a smile accompany you to the table, the excellent food and the space-age burgers, not to mention the unique freshly made chips, highly recommended if you want to spend a nice evening accompanied by excellent food and reasonable prices.

21/09/2025: Arriving around 9:00 PM, we asked if there were four free seats and were told to come in 30-40 minutes, as the tables for the second sitting, which started at 9:30 PM, would be free. When we arrived, after 40 minutes, they still didn't have a place for us to sit and dine because, according to them, the second sitting hadn't started yet; it was around 10:10 PM. So we decided to leave because their attitude toward us seemed unclear and unfair, in the sense that it would have been enough to say, "I don't have a seat for the second sitting either because those with reservations have priority. If you're not in a hurry, I'll seat you after the reserved tables." These things were not said to us. Guys, clarity comes first. We felt like we were being mocked; it doesn't take much, not a couple of misplaced, complacent laughs.
