21/11/2025: When you enter a welcoming, clean place, with kind, cheerful, and extremely professional staff—beautiful and empathetic girls, to boot—you wouldn't expect to find equally delicious, natural, and varied dishes, offering a diverse menu every day with multiple choices. Whether it's for a quick coffee, a hearty breakfast with a wide selection of sweet and savory treats, or a midday meal in a cheerful mood, where you can unplug from the frenetic pace of everyday life... I have no doubts about where I'd go. When are you opening an aperitivo bar?!

27/09/2025: Super Pasticceria! The coffee and pastries are delicious. I had an Italian Breakfast here everyday of my stay in La Spezia. The choice in pastries and sandwiches is very large, they also do a continental brekfast too. The people working there were super friendly, helpful and kept the place running smoothly. Service was rapid,even when busy and the place was spotless clean! Great-Great-Great Definitely recommand!

04/12/2025: A beautiful location and atmosphere, I was very pleased and relieved when they said they could make the pesto pasta vegan so I could eat it (no milk, eggs). Unfortunately we had requested penne pesto pasta and after twice bringing us the wrong pasta we decided to leave it. They said they wouldn't charge us as we had really tried to explain we wanted penne, but they still charged us which meant we ended up paying for two extra dishes. They also didn't say the bread cost extra too. To be honest I think they just thought we were foreigners they could hustle, so could be worth you showing a photo of what you want as 'penne' isn't clear enough and you'll end up with 'trofie' or the small penne instead of the larger size that I thought was standard for penne. 😂👎🏻

06/11/2025: A fabulous experience. Superb fried food delivered directly to the dock and enjoyed on the boat between Portovenere and La Palmaria. Compliments go to Massimo. We'll definitely be back.

11/10/2025: Fantastic Stay at Grand Hotel Portovenere! 🌊 I've just had the most magical 3-night stay at the Grand Hotel Portovenere, and I'm already dreaming of going back! This place is an absolute gem, set in a beautifully restored 17th-century convent right on the water's edge. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their kindness and passion for the region truly made our trip special. The food was a highlight every single day. Dining at the Palmaria Restaurant with its stunning panoramic terrace views was an experience in itself. The cuisine was innovative, fresh, and absolutely delicious—a perfect taste of Liguria! Waking up to the view of the colorful harbor and Palmaria Island from our balcony was unforgettable. The hotel's location is perfect, right in the heart of charming Portovenere and with the ferry to the Cinque Terre literally at your doorstep. If you're looking for a luxurious, romantic, and utterly satisfying escape, look no further. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

14/08/2025: An amazing vacation; calling it a hotel is an understatement given the many activities available thanks to the concierge's invaluable advice. We tried the sunset boat excursion with aperitif and an exclusive boat tour of the Cinque Terre. Needless to say, the location is fantastic for visiting the center and the famous church of San Pietro. Close to excellent restaurants, including the Grand Hotel's own: the Palmaria restaurant. The friendly, helpful staff helped make those days and our stay at the Grand Hotel itself a special memory...thanks again!

17/12/2025: Pizza: If you like Neapolitan and/or contemporary pizza, this isn't it; however, it's good and very digestible. Panigacci/Sgabei/Cold cuts: all very good. Adequate price/quality/service.

13/12/2025: On the outskirts, excellent pizza. Average restaurant. Excellent panigacci. Good selection of beers and wines. Young, fast, and courteous wait staff.

10/11/2025: A very pleasant historic restaurant. The setting is simple but elegant, and the staff are friendly. The appetizers were excellent, especially the charcuterie board. The snails in tomato sauce were a surprise: flavorful and perfectly cooked. The food is good and the portions are generous. A positive experience. Recommended.

A historic venue, full of charm, with a beautiful view and a charming centuries-old tree that frames a unique atmosphere. The dishes are delicious, in fact, delicious, and reflect La Spezia's traditions in every detail. A place you absolutely must try!

13/09/2025: We’ve been living here for almost 20yrs & have tried many many pizzas. This place 100% has the best pizza in the Peligna Valley. Great prices to eat in or take away.

12/09/2025: Gorgeous location, very kind and courteous wait staff, but what struck me most were the truly generous portions and fair prices. Usually, when you think of a restaurant, you'd think the prices would be outrageous and you'd still leave hungry, but instead I ate divinely, exquisite food, and I left truly satisfied and happy. Highly recommended!

12/11/2025: One of my favorite restaurants in the world. The food is amazing, the service is spectacular, the staff and owners are amazingly friendly, and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. In addition, the menu includes English, and Stefania, owner/waitress, speaks it at an almost native level. The restaurant is always busy, but they seem to always find an available table, although advance reservations are strongly recommended on weekends. Everything on the menu is homemade, from the home cured anchovies to the pesto, and of course the wide, creative and varying weekly array of ravioli - a house specialty. On any given day one can find on the menu around 3 seafood based ravioli dishes, 3 meat based ravioli dishes, as well as vegetarian ravioli dishes. Personally, I also love the simple side dish of grilled vegetables, which is simple delicious! Update November 12, 2025: Now on the current menu are, among others, mescciüa (antipasto) and duck breast ravioli. Both dishes are outstanding, and the duck ravioli, served with a simple butter sauce with orange zest and thyme is suggestive of canard à l'orange - simply amazing!

21/10/2025: Beautifully situated on the water, it's incredibly cozy when it gets dark and the lights in the bay come on. The food was good, but nothing more to say. Service is prompt but not entirely up to par with the rules of gastronomy.

05/12/2025: Pizza with exceptional dough, light and very easy to digest. Excellent ingredients. The husband and wife owners are incredibly passionate and very kind and helpful. If you try eating here, you'll understand why, despite the small, quiet town where the pizzeria is located, they do more than many places in the center of La Spezia. Recommended!!

08/10/2025: The pizza and staff were truly top-notch. The pizza dough was unique, not heavy, and very easy to digest. However, I suggest improving the atmosphere by removing at least a couple of tables because we were all packed together. Aside from the chaos, the tables are really too close together.
