Focacceria Manuelina Recco
Recco
13/01/2026: Warm welcome, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere.
Excellent dishes.
06/01/2026: Excellent in every way. After tasting all the PGI focaccias several times, I can confirm that this is the best: come rain, snow, or high humidity, the product remains the same (and obviously excellent). Excellent traditional Ligurian dishes: sublime pansoti.

Ristorante Manuelina
Recco
04/01/2026: Over time, we've enjoyed eating at Focacceria della Manuelina several times, so in recent years we've decided to spend New Year's Eve there (once, and everything went well) and twice at the restaurant, the last time a few days ago. The first time was truly excellent, but the New Year's Eve dinner for 2025-2026, which just passed, was very disappointing. I don't know if the Executive Chef has changed, but that's just not the way it should be. The menu offered at €190 per person, of which I've attached a photo (I also have the receipt), didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation, considered one of the best in the area. But since January 1st is also my birthday, I decided it was worth it.
I'll leave out the description of the restaurant (it's now old and in need of a "substantial" modernization) and I'll also leave out the singers (not even autotune saved them).
The Champagne throughout the meal was a decent 0.75 liter Covreur Prak Blanc de Noirs Orange Label, with a moderately low price. The tempura oysters were one oyster per person, and the mini brioche with their mini smoked salami was acceptable. The delicious cheese focaccia, a Manuelina specialty, consisted of three 6x6 cm pieces per person. After half an hour, they offered another small piece, lest we get indigestion. Everything else was served on small plates and in negligible quantities. The pumpkin cream soup with crunchy artichokes and crunchy artichokes was acceptable, but it was just a taste. Ditto the white risotto Margherita, completely bland, a spoonful spread on the small plate half a centimeter thick, but with a good red shrimp tartare. The foie gras ravioli with hazelnut butter and black truffle were drowned in butter and toasted hazelnuts that masked the already meager flavor. They tasted like nothing. Opening the ravioli revealed no trace of foie gras or black truffle: they were not present. The people sitting around our table left both the risotto and the ravioli, but they offered us seconds of the latter, which we obviously declined. The roast sea bass with flambéed scampi and citrus sauce was excellent, on par with the Manuelina we knew. Their gin and tonic sorbet was uninspiring. The crispy pastry with chocolate mousse and red berries was very good. Meanwhile, we had finished the entire meal's champagne by 11:00 PM. The "a thousand wishes" friandises consisted of five peanuts, three chocolates, two dried apricots, and two dried figs. Before midnight, the waiters disappeared; no one came to ask if we wanted two glasses for a toast. At 12:10 AM, we were already out of the restaurant, like many other guests.
I just wish the owner, Mr. Carbone, would ask himself what went wrong this time, so much so that he decided never to return. It's a shame, really.
23/12/2025: A truly welcoming and warm place with a fireplace that warms the heart, excellent food even for celiacs (they improvised a gluten-free dinner for me on the spur of the moment) ready for any eventuality

Ristorante Locanda Borgo Antico
Recco
21/09/2025: A lovely place recommended by friends. The food was excellent and there was a wide selection of wines. The staff were very friendly, and Fabrizio, the chef and sommelier, was fantastic! I'll be back. The quality/price ratio was excellent.
26/08/2025: The best pasta we've tried in Italy. They make it by hand and use sauces that take 5 hours to cook, and they're spectacular. The service is a 10. We wanted to try several types of pasta, and they divided all the dishes into portions so my family could try them. The price is incredible, 100% recommended!

Pizzeria Fainottu
Recco
14/12/2025: Excellent bakery offering a wide selection of gluten-free products.
The focaccia is excellent, both classic and cheese-based, and is sold in sealed and frozen individual portions. Just the right amount of grease, tasty yet light.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
02/11/2025: Our regular stop when we stop in Recco.
Everything is excellent quality and cooked to order, and it's still delicious even when taken out.
The owner is kind and helpful.
Highly recommended!

Ristorante Pizzeria Il Rusticone
Recco
20/01/2026: Prices are ok and the cheese focaccia is very good!!!!
18/01/2026: The pizza doesn't live up to Recco's reputation. The place isn't very well maintained. Given the location, it could do much better.

Bar Peragallo
Recco
02/07/2025: Amazing pizza because the dough is just the right amount of heavy and the pizza is just the right amount of big. I like it because it fills you up a little more than you should so that you feel good. Fair prices.
In my opinion it is the best in Recco in terms of quality-price ratio, even if many people don't agree, but I don't care, I go there anyway, everyone is kind and deserves it.
PS: I recommend accompanying one of their pizzas with a fresh Moretti 66, thank me later

Trattoria Al Baretto
Recco
31/08/2025: The focaccia was very good, the pansoti were undercooked, and we waited half an hour between the focaccia and the first course. The staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming.
22/08/2025: The staff is very courteous and professional. The location offers a truly picturesque view.
The dishes we ate were neither good nor bad. I would recommend using more salt, as some dishes were decidedly too salty and the flavors of the ingredients were truly missing. I would also recommend not asking the customer specifically if they want to leave a tip when paying by debit card, as this could be seen as inappropriate, almost rude.

Panificio Pasticceria Tossini
Recco
02/12/2025: On our way back from a team tennis competition in Pietra Ligure, we stopped in Recco for a quick dinner. It was Sunday evening, and we thought everything would be closed, but instead I asked my son to find a place where we could eat the fabulous Recco focaccia. "Panificio Rossini," my son told me. Conveniently located in a square, we quickly found parking. There are two locations a few dozen meters apart, so we opted for the one with seating. We ordered a tray of olive pizza, Recco focaccia, and farinata. Everything was excellent. The place is basic but welcoming, with friendly staff. If we ever pass through Recco again, we'll definitely come here for focaccia again. 👌🏻👍🏻
25/10/2025: The food is decent but the shop assistants are rude and ill-mannered.
