01/05/2025: Le restaurant est chaleureux. Les serveurs agréables. La cuisine bonne et rapide. Nous y avons déjeuné puis dîné quelques jours après. Nous avons pris des burgers : la viande est excellente et la proportion de frite est bonne. Le repas était délicieux. Le tiramisu proposé est tout aussi bon. Nous vous conseillons une des bouteilles de Toscane pour accompagner votre repas.

Warm and friendly service, cuisine with a wide choice of fried foods and excellent sandwiches. There is also a good choice of draft and bottled beers. 29/05/2025: The food has nothing to do with all these pictures here anymore. I visited this restaurant a few days ago together with some friends. It was the worst treatment we have had in years! And, believe me, we have visited quite a few restaurants in Italy—Rome, Naples, Florence, Savona, Milan, etc. We were attracted by the soup advertised for 5 EUR in the window, but once seated we were told it actually costs 10 EUR, as the price displayed on the restaurant door refers to a small portion which doesn’t exist on the menu. We received an English menu printed on two sheets of paper, while Italian customers at other tables were given much more extensive menus in Italian, with many more dishes that were not listed on our menu. The same happened with drinks—we asked for beer and were told it was only available in bottles (5 EUR), only to later see Italian customers being served draft beer. I wonder if the prices were the same... I asked for baccalà with potatoes and requested if they could substitute the potatoes with another dish from the menu, fagiolini con patate. They said nothing—not about my request nor about the price—and what I received is shown in the picture: boiled fish with canned green beans—no potatoes at all. Lousy service, lousy food, horrible place. Too bad for us, and too bad for them, as we will never return here during our stay in Genoa—which is, by the way, a fabulous city indeed. At least if they hadn’t had the nerve to ask at the end if everything was alright… No, nothing was alright.

25/05/2025: In the heart of the historic center of Genoa, an oasis of unmissable Sicilian flavors!! All homemade prepared at the moment. Excellent arancini, as well as gnocchi with swordfish, aubergines and almonds. The desserts are amazing...my favorite is the warm ricotta and chocolate cake. Well done👏👏

25/06/2025: It's a family restaurant, a simple place, an osteria from another time, and it's beautiful just like that!! Of course, for us Genoans it's an incredible museum, with relics that tell the story of a life...❤️💙 The food is simple, but very good! The fabulous ravioli and the excellent pesto!! The fried foods, (in my case, also vegetarian), are very good, light and quality.... We tried their artisanal tiramisu....what can I say... truly delicious! The prices are normal... We recommend it, we had a great time, it felt like we were among friends, family, and we will return soon to try everything else!!!!!!

11/06/2025: Horrible service. In the room none of the different phone numbers (Housekeeping, Reception, Concierge, etc.) would pick up for over an hour. In the beach club the cleaning ladies are very rude and unwelcoming.

11/06/2025: Hotel Gran Miramare is a 1903 art nouveau building across the road from the beach, this upscale hotel has views of the Ligurian Sea and is also 3.2 miles walk from Portofino. Part of the walk is an elevated hiking trail with incredible views in a tree canopy. I highly recommend the walk. You can take a taxi back easily from Portofino. The taxi is high $$. We chose to enjoy an apertivo and walked back. Our rooms had beautiful hard wood floors and chandeliers, plus Wi-Fi and satellite TV with a sea view. Room service is available. There's an elegant restaurant with frescoes and a terrace for the amazing breakfast buffet. Don't forget to go to the piano bar. Incredible cocktails and exceptional service. The saltwater pool was refreshing after a day exploring Portofino. I highly recommend Grand Hotel Miramare.

12/07/2025: A gem 😍 Excellent wine bar with delicious food, just the way we like it in Italy. A very generous cheese and charcuterie platter for two, accompanied by a little sparkling wine, all with quality service. The owner and the server are very welcoming and warm, and despite our limited Italian, they take the time to introduce you to what's on the menu. In short, a wonderful culinary and personal experience. Highly recommended.

26/06/2025: What an amazing place. Their wine selection is outstanding, the food is delicious and their aperitivo are the best I have ever tasted. Highly recommend, super friendly. We come regularly here.
